The new Ranger 4.5t will be able to be driven on a C Class licence as they are up to 4.5t. Over 4.5t then you will need an LR licence. Not sure what Ronny was thinking here but incorrect information. This needs to be corrected as Ronny has a big influence in the 4WD community. Clearly didn't know the subject matter here. Maybe some study up next time. He obviously didn't know that question was coming and had not done any research. More to the 4WD world than just Landcruisers. The new Ranger Super Duty will have a tow capacity of 4500kgs. GVM 4500kgs and a GCM of 8000kgs.
Ronny your wrong: C-Car licence: This type of licence allows you to drive a typical car, i.e. one that has a Gross Vehicle Mass or GVM of 4.5 tonnes or less. You can also drive vehicles that have a sitting capacity of up to 12 adults (including the driver) such as a minibus.
4501KG is a truck license.......... not 4500. So car C license is all you need, also not speed limited to 100 KPH, is it safe, stable if it isn't bigger than the current Ranger, TBA that........... maybe if it was DRW that certainly help. Bottom line really Ford need to just make the USA F series in RHD factory done and not re-worked here and problem solved. Watch this space !!
@@kevinharris3821 Haha, not at all. I still love my old 2016 PX2 Wildtrack. It's a fantastic car despite Ford hate you sometimes see online. But...when you lift a suspension beyond 2 inches and do some more challenging 4x4 tracks, the CVs don't handle that well. I have seen enough of them snap. It doesn't matter what brand it is. I bet even the 250 Prado will have the same issues with a 3-inch lift. We will have to see. It is just that I would prefer a solid front axle with lockers centre, front and rear. But that's my own preference. If tFordford, with that excellent V6 diesel, does that, id buy the damn thing instantly. But I know some peeps love how an IFS vehicle handles on the road, and it's more important to them.
Oh look Ronny knows nothing. No suprise there. NB2 is 4500kg and above, and only needs a LR license. NB2 is better anyways, less modifications restrictions compared to NB1
You may as well delete this video. A lot of incorrect information. For starters up to 4500 kg GVM is class C licence. Over 4.5t to 8 T GVM is light rigid , not medium rigid. The only accurate part was this yes it is correct that NB2 ( over 4.5 T GVM ) is exempt from NVES.

Agree, a lot of incorrect information here, incorrect info is a common feature of this podcast
Bangs on about MR license for towing when it’s GVM. can drive with car license with 4500kg GVM
The 3 litre motor in the ranger is the same as the f150 used a few years ago and that was a 4.5ton tow
This podcast should be deleted and redone. All the information here is wrong from Ronny
He normally is…did you see his reviews on a recent vid saying that ram 1500’s start at $230,000
@ no idea
It'll be 4495kg but in any case if it was over it 's a LR not a MR
You don’t need a MR license to tow 4.5 tonne in Australia
Correct, you only need an LR if the vehicle gvm is above 4.5t to which the ranger superduty is right on that 4.5t
@@LVNITUPM8incorrect it’s a LR license
@@kromey111 yes that's correct, my bad, 4.5t gvm to 8t is LR and 8t and greater with 2 axles is MR.
For some reason most commenters used the word license. We get issued a Licence in Australia, Americans get and use the word license.
Nothing to do with towing capacity about license it’s the GVM. Anyway 4500kg GVM and under is car license.
Licence
@ huh ?

What the hell was that. Waffled chat with no actual facts or anything.
Haha absolute rubbish

Needs a solid front axle to even somewhat bring some competition to the 79 series but it won't.
Competition in what way ? Can only get 4cyl 79 now
Sounds like another staunch defender of the Toyota Cult

Not too late to educate yourselves and re-edit this..

This podcast is misleading. Do some research and come back.
