  • Now over 10'000km into the journey through central Australia, I'm pushing my old XRV750 through problem after problem in the middle of the Great Sandy and Gibson desert.
In this, episode 6, I'm on a mission to get across the Northern Territory and begin the longest, most remote section of Western Australia ... crossing through the Gibson Desert.

I couldn’t say it better myself! That scene where Adam removed his goggles and we got to look into the legends eyes for a short time was one of my favourite scenes! So many emotions running wild in my mind watching this episode! This was better entertainment than Hollywood could ever produce.

Amazing series Adam. Between the storytelling, epic landscapes, drone shots, bike challenges.. The phone call with your kid(s) at that fuel station got to me. It's easy to go on a multi week trip. It's not easy for your family. That short moment in this 45 minute film humbled me.

I recently put my KLR650 down on a dirt road with some freshly poured sand and gravel here in middle of Kansas, USA. So, watching you bust along at 75mph is awesome. With all of my 1000 to 1500 mile trips people can't believe I did that. But, then to watch you make a trip like this is absolutely inspiring to me. Working through fuel and electrical issues with some degree of patience. Knowing your bike so that those small repairs don't stop you is what it's all about. Loved watching this, only wish I had a 10th of your riding skills. After my KLR650 I'm now on a 2016 Africa Twin. Loving this bike and hope to make some memories like you have. Thanks for the inspiration Adam!!

You asked a very important question in this part "Are you ready for the sacrifice". While I am ready for the camping, rough roads, etc. I am also well aware of my mechanical knowledge and riding limits. That in mind, the trip you've undertaken in this series (epic series btw) would very likely be suicidal for me.
Thus I am very happy knowing my own skills will not allow me to do this kind of trip and rather stick to the 60/40 (on and off-road) throughout Europe and Scandinavia, not commiting suicide by face-planting in remote parts of the world, but also watching you do this while supporting you in the ways I can.
Thanks for taking us along and taking the stress of leaving your familiy for those long periods of time.

So what I gather from this series is that you don’t need TC, ABS, TFT screens, EFI, cruise control, tubeless tyres, tyre pressure monitors, different riding modes and a plethora of other features to go on an epic adventure, just a little know how and some good riding skills, who would have thought !!!
Long May old school bikes used for what they were designed for, hard to believe that back in the day of the warhorse they were never real popular in Australia along with the rest of the P/ D replicas, my how times have changed.

Thanks for another brilliantly produced video Adam, it was a pleasure to watch. Not only are you a fantastic video story teller, but your Philosophical Passage at the end is a really powerful tool for us all to draw upon as we inevitably encounter the naysayers you speak of. Beautifully said. Thank You

You're a legend, bro. I dream of doing what you're doing. I'm currently just a road rider, trying to figure out what bike makes the most sense to get and what skills need to be gained before having a crack. Your channel is an inspiration.

I hope this series brings you the success you deserve for all of your hard work and effort. And in turn I hope it allows you to spend more time with your family! I cannot get enough of these videos. I like many others don’t want this series to end, it honestly don’t know what you could do to trump this series Adam. I could watch it over and over 🤘

Adam, the warhorse has done brilliantly over this Australian adventure. If you were on a brand new bike you could expect the same levels of drama's and breakdowns, just that in a new bike the technology may make it impossible to fix on the side of the track. Great ride and adventure Adam, very enjoyable to watch.

having a technical, then finding a way to get rolling again is always a great feeling, a feeling that so many bikers today will never experience as they reach for their phones and cards, your real experience at least some of us can relate too.

AR - Great video. Loved the comments on the haters and the jealous. SO right. They would not have the balls to do what you just did. Alone in remote Australa fixing radiators, fuel hoses, electrical issues. They would be food by now. Well done - another excellent installment by a great storyteller.

    Adam, you legend !!
Just wanted to tell you that you've inspired me when I first came across your UA-cam channels a few years ago.
I've "always" been a rider and wanted to explore .. but it was by watching your videos that I have decided to finally go ahead and do some proper road trips.
Unfortunately I live in Europe, where our "Outback" is nothing but a few patches of nature scattered across highly populated and built up territories.
I hope, one day, to be able to venture into your backyard, and in the meantime I will work on my skills and abilities to hopefully be able to face all the challenges that await me.
For now I hope that you keep posting your stories and adventures to keep us entertained, show us a bit of proper riding cinematography and share your awesome experiences with us !
    Ride on mate!!!
