I feel like no one else notices this. When in the First Stratum, Rudy was told "Hey, don't use fire magic because the room will fill with poison. And to avoid cave ins, don't use earth or water magic". When Rudy felt like he knew where Roxy was, his immediate attention went towards the fact that he heard water dropping. Water being Roxy's main skillset for magic, but also they were now in the Third Stratum. And since they seem to go lower with each stratum, water dripping from the ceiling when not seen in the first 2 levels meant it was weird. Basically, Rudy knew it was his Goddesses water and not natural. At least this is how I took the scene. I don't know how it was portrayed in the light novel so I could be blowing air out my butt in that regard.
They do take different approaches in the anime, so that sounds like a good reading of the scene. In the LN he smelled her, but in the drama CD Rudeus noticed that there was a difference in texture with some of the walls, feeling like the stone he uses to make those shelters in the desert with Earth Fortress.

And yeah, literally sniffing her out would have probably been super weird considering they hadn't met in like what, over 10 years at this point in the story? I don't mind him in that regard, but literally being able to smell Roxy within the stratum would have felt like a season 1 Rudy thing. This boy be growing!

She left early in the morning two days after his 5th birthday, and I think we're some two months away from his 17th, if their departure was in August.

Paul went full grape mode thanks to the pheromones and Shierra was having a PTSD attack because of it, so she couldn't use detoxification on him. Lilia gave herself to him to get him out of the status effect, but it's taken an immense mental toll on Paul. He'd promised to not sleep with anyone but Zenith and he'd doubled down on that promise for the entire quest of getting his family back. As another commenter pointed out, Talhand wasn't affected, so this exacerbates Paul's feelings of immense guilt. So he sees himself as a failure of a father, a failure of a husband, and a failure of a man. Rudeus' arrival has once again helped save his soul.
But I think we can see exactly how Rudeus' presence is affecting Paul. Paul's self-esteem is in the gutter and with Rudy there it's giving him a chance to prove how worthy he is, so he's leading and trying to look cool to his son, to the detriment of the mission.

I believe when he gelt the wall, he could feel a temperature difference from Roxy's magic. When I read this part, I actually thought he just "felt a disturbance in the faith" or something. Considering how high EIQ Geese is, I'm quite sure he will give the same answer no matter he knows the Man God or not. If he doesn't know then he doesn't know, but even if he does know and everything that's happening now is part of Man God's plot, he would be smart enough to pretend that he totally has no clue about it.

When Sylphie wants him to stay it's being attached to her scent that gets him to stay and he smelt Roxy through the wall after not smelling her for years. Had Fitz either taken off her gloves or even just got a little closer to his nose he probably could've pinpointed the smell to Sylphie.
I think it has been said already, but the fact this show gave everyone a water clue and Rudeus already had a real word realization with the fire correlation (carbon monoxide), no water should have been down there. It's fun to watch back.

Non-Spoiler reasons for why the entire party, elinalise, geese, talhand, ghislane, etc all hated Paul: Most A and S rank adventurers could fit into any party, but this party were fuck-ups that only function together. Paul broke the party up, and basically in one slice took away their only friends, and their only way of making money. Ghislane - Dumb, only has combat ability, ferocity, and intuition. Can't really serve as a tank. Can't read. Can't handle money and doesn't know prices. Talhand - lgbt,flirts with the men. Baggage in his past. Still, probably more likely than anyone to at least make a living. Not specialized in any types of magic. Kind of medicore at them all. He couldnt really be the only mage and the only healer. Elinalise - Cursed to make all the men want her and hate each other, pretty much. Needs zero attachment sex, party members that don't make her feel bad when she goes out on the town, or a group with ONE man. She ended up with Paul, Talhand (Likes men) and Geese (Not really inclined). This kind of gave her permission to be with Paul and allow her to feel thingsbecause noone was going to be jelly.. Geese - Jack of all trades master of none. Can't fill any role reliably. There are way better mages, scouts, and warriors that are passable at the stuff he does. He only fits in this party because the party lacks in the common sense department, unlike every other party. Instead of a specialist, they needed someone who could handle EVERYTHING they couldn't. Think of him as a normal person cosplaying as an adventurer. His super power is just his common sense. Experience eventually turns him into a pretty good scout, but not S rank on his own. Paul - Balanced genius fighter that gets in trouble between the sheets. Zenith - Newbie powerful Healer. Zenith asks Geese to teach her to cook for paul, he does, she seduces him, and the party breaks up. They can not find work and they blame paul, their leader, and not the noobie cleric.
Having read the Paul Gaiden I've got some gap-filling info. The party indeed is full of fuckups. Paul had made an awful reputation for himself with his womanizing and insubordination as he was still a novice at 13. Geese couldn't really find a party to roll with either, until his cooking won Paul over. By the time he was a B-ranker at 15, Paul started to reach a wall with soloing or pairing up with Geese. Talhand wanted to get one over an asshole A-ranker and kept around with Paul after that. Elinalise was impressed by Paul's performance both in the quest after which she quit her previous party (lead by aforementioned asshole A-ranker) and in the sack as he came to recruit her. Ghislaine stumbled on their campsite starving and delirious, and they helped her out later to clear a labyrinth they were headed to. This is how the Fangs of the Black Wolf assembled. Zenith was picked up by Paul (18 by that point) before she got scammed and helped her level up before joining the party. Elinalise was never much more than friends-with-benefits with Paul. There was no romance, but plenty of fun in the sack. And they were mutually non-exclusive. Ghislaine got roped into a physical relationship with Paul during her mating season. It was never made privy to the reader whether she harbored any stronger feelings for Paul, but I wouldn't be surprised. They all were tightly-knit as party members. It took months for Zenith to warm up to Paul and Paul noticed how she more and more resembled the memory of his late mother, the only person he ever actually loved and felt loved by. Some time after their confessions, Paul nervously took her to an inn, asking her all the while if she's OK with it. Everyone could see their relationship by that point and had gone from being wary of him making her another conquest to being OK with it. So it was less Zenith seducing him and more them both growing closer until they started a serious relationship. But that did result in problems: Paul tried to straighten his act. And the others'. But what Paul ultimately did... Paul disbanded the party the moment they all learned Zenith was pregnant and he arsoned his bridges with them. He kept the latest request's reward money and left with Zenith towards Roa the next day.
Personally, when I say "a few" it means "more than one but less than several", with the cutoff point for "several" being 7 because they sound similar. So to me, "a few" means anywhere from 2-6 (or I guess technically "1-7 exclusive" but that's a less practical definition most of the time). Unrelated, but don't your conspiracies seem contradictory? If Geese is working for the Man-God, and the Man-God is trying to kill Roxy, then it's strange that Geese would have sent a letter to the one person capable of reaching Roxy in time to save her.
