And then I had a moment of "oh" as I remember this show had been so consistent and just researched until now, and they would not forget the power they already showed from the magic gems. The anime doesn't even do justice as to how easy this was for rudy. He could have done this with his eyes closed And just with his other senses. Luke looked like he was moving in slow motion to him. A lot of the clues as to what Okarun's psychology is are pretty clear, and Momo is surprisingly adept at getting him to slowly open up without pushing him too far. They work so well together and they can tease and jab at each other where it's safe to do so, because Momo already knows the line that she can't cross - since she already did it in episode 1, when she strikes at the heart of Okarun's insecurity and tells him why he can't have friends. Similarly, Okarun knows the line that he can't cross, because Momo has told him explicitly what she loves and values the most - she believes in the supernatural because her grandma does, and she loves her family/friends and believes in them. But then, there's a pretty striking inequality here: Momo has crossed that line and hurt Okarun, and deliberately at that. I think this goes a long way toward explaining a lot of Momo's behavior in future episodes.

I just want to add, Japan doesn't really do "evil spirits" and "good spirits". They're more divided into "orderly spirits" and "disorderly spirits". In general, orderly spirits are safer to be around and less likely to harm you, and disorderly spirits are more likely to do something that will end with a miserable death, but it's not a guarantee either way. Turbo Granny is absolutely a disorderly spirit. That's also why she immediately tries to go against the spirit of the rules - it's her nature to try and shake off anything that imposes a limitation on her. But she's also not inherently evil, which is why she has compassion for the sprits of the murdered girls. But she's also not interested in concepts like "justice", which is why she neither tries to prevent the murders or hunt down the specific murderers. Because she's a spirit of disorder.

While Momo, it was Outlaw and Criminal, as Momo was looking for liberate herself from generational duties/stereotype, that is why she was gyaru in episode 1 and 3. I do think I have a kink or fetish developed from trauma. Ok so back in elementary school I really had to go to the bathroom to pee, but there were a dozen or more older kids lined up to go to the toilet. I was able to get a teacher to convince them to let me go first, cuz I was younger or whatever. But they were misbehaving, when I was in there they kept kicking the door to the toilet. I remember feeling too shy to go, too unsafe, due to the constant kicking of the door. I had to leave, pretending I had peed, but I was still desperate. That was kind of a traumatic event and I developed a shy bladder from it (paruresis) that I really struggled with for years, though it's gotten a little better recently. However... As the years went by and I started entering puberty, something weird happened. I think that trauma manifested not just as paruresis but as a fetish too. Very early into puberty I discovered the fact that I was really turned on by the idea of women needing to pee really badly, and prevented from getting to a toilet, stuff like that (omorashi). Omorashi would be my "favorite tag" then, I guess... Yeah that's interesting... It's been this way ever since (insert shrug here) (Note: I am on an alt account because i am NOT gonna be writing a comment like this in public social media on my main account where people can recognize me 💀)

At this point in the story I think its clear who has more testosterone in their systems... Momo the real Action Hero MC vibe. I almost expected her to do the thing and say the famous line of "give me some sugar Baby..." from Army of Darkness (Evil Dead 3).

Paused at 29:57. Better question; can you prove its real? In this situation I am saying it does actually exist and is either extra terrestial or is a ghost. Because I wonder in how many cases where people "see things" its actually a case where the thing exists but can function in a manner where you could never prove it because tech is inferior.

I just thought of something that is actually weird in this series case. They show so much that its what is not seen that sticks out... Okarin's parents. Do they actually exist??? No seriously until they are seen onscreen are they real or imagined by Okarin? I sus he may not in fact be a norm human. Made by experiment like a clone or test tube... possibly. I mean why make a mystery of it when he clearly should of been missed by now right... at least once. But over a 100 chapters in and I still nothing about them.
