This is my favorite Danzig song of all time. What a surprise to see someone do a reaction video to this song since it was never popular. This song carried me thru some difficult times in HS. Super happy to hear someone else react to it the same way I do every time I hear it. “And the pain you’re feeling now is nothing compared to the pleasures I hide.” You got a subscribe from me for sure. Thank you, thank you!
That's such a great song. "Soul on Fire" and "Possession" are great too. There are some gems on the Danzig 4 album, which I think is his last really great album.
My vote for Danzig 2 is Blood and Tears. Overall favorite is tied between How The Gods Kill (3), and Going Down To Die (4), and Twist Of Cain (1). I LOVE EVERYTHING DANZIG! Most underrated song is Crawl Across Your Killing Floor it’s on The Lost Tracks Of Danzig album 2007.
@@randywissler9923 Yeah but if you havn't heard it try Danzig: Deth Red Sabaoth, that album is pretty retro and doesn't have any industrial/electronic shennanigans on it at all.
Not only was he the lead singer of the misfits, right before he became big with Danzig he had a band called Samhain, check that stuff out, it was how he perfected the sound of danzig
"no one even knows which way's up anymore"-Alex Hefner. I couldn't agree more, when I listen to the older songs I find that the quantity of quality is much higher than these days. It's just quantity now.
He definitely tore up his vocals back on this tour. Saw him twice, at the beginning of the tour and at the end of the tour. Sounded great initially. By the end, he couldn't reach those higher pitched notes without his voice cracking. Not easy to sing like Danzig... "Bodies" is a great illustration of his powerful vocals...
I love that you reacted to a Danzig song that isn't Mother. Everyone knows Mother. That being said, please react to One-eyed Doll and their song Committed. You are doing yourself a disservice by neglecting this band. So check them out!
You are leaving so much out. Sing it with me. When I'm going down to die!!!!!! How about little whip. Sorry, this is my favorite band. Danzig is required listening to this day for me. When you said "The word 'classic' comes to mind, you couldn't be more correct. I recommend looking through Danzig's catalogue and just dive right in. "How the Gods Kill" is something that will never leave my rotation.
since I first heard this one always thought it should be played at the end of horror movie. Lucifuge is great album from start to finish, this song, Girl, Her Black Wings, Long Way Back From Hell and 777 my theme song "Seven , Seven, Seven is my name Seven come and Seven go and Seven still remain"
Bound by Blood and Black Mass are two of my favorite, more recent tracks from him. He has an extensive catalog if you include his work with Samhain, and the Misfits. He also has two albums of instrumental music as well. A lot of people flipped out when he went more industrial sounding (Danzig 5 and Danzig 6:66 respectively), and although I like a majority of a Danzig 5, Danzig 6:66 Satan’s Child has aged incredibly well. Oh, and another thing about him: Glenn has written some incredible ballads, songs like blood and tears, you and me (less than zero), Sistinas, Ashes, Cold Eternal, are all good examples of his crooning ability. I cannot recommend him enough. If Johnny cash, Metallica, Guns N’ Roses , Hatebreed, Green Day are singing your songs, you’re probably doing something right.
Nice to see Danzig get some love. Guy's excentric, so he gets a lot of hate, but no matter where you stand on him as a person, you gotta respect him as a musician.
You should have a look at the Melvins, the godfathers of grunge, and sludge metal. Buzz Osborne, Kurt Cobain's friend from high school, who introduced Kurt to punk, is the singer/guitarist, and Dale Crover the drummer was in both Nirvana before Dave and Fecal Matter, one of Cobain's side projects. As far as songs go, Revolve is probably their most heard song, but A History of Bad Men is a masterpiece. Honorable mention to their cover of Youth of America, originally Wipers, but the original is worth its own listen as well.

The first 4 Danzig albums are outstanding. Mother got all of the radio airplay/attention but the rest of their stuff is highly underrated.
danzig II Lucifuge was the best imo. every track is flawless and transition beautifully .
I endorse this message
Welcome to Danzig Alex.. Hes like a blues rock mad scientist combined the vocal DNA of Elvis and Jim Morrison..
And Roy Orbison!!
BRUTAL🔥😎🤘🏻
