    Thanks BK! Always learn so much with your videos. Would love to see a video series on creating a perfume from conception to something semi-finished. I feel stuck going from building a few accords to building an actual perfume. Do you just pick out the materials, or are you building things out one material at a time?

    • @wib6044
      @wib6044 10 місяців тому

      Try just going by feel. Get yourself set up. Then after a run or exercise when you’re feeling inspired, throw on some good music and put together 5-10 separate perfumes.
      If it feels right add it, if not, don’t. Don’t think too much. Just keep in mind basic amounts each material needs to be restricted to.
      Let them sit for a week, and come back to them. If you have anything interesting, build from there tweaking it slowly.

    It's great to see a recent vídeo on the channel. In the country Where I live there are dozens of reviewers. But none Address this topic. I'm thinking about exploring. Today I started making some changes to my channel. I intented to leave it at zero. Maybe I'll create a new channel to explore this topic.

    Dear B, so nice to see you again¡. I have a request, at some point could you show us a tutorial of how you calculate the final amount of alcohol when you are working with both raws and dilutions in your final formula, how you "extract" the alcohol contained already in the dilutions in order to scale it propperly. Like many of us, i already have and work with the spreadsheet you gifted us

    I have a request if you don’t mind. Whenever you finish formulating a blend are about to dilute everything in alcohol to make it a finished product, how do you determine what percentage of alcohol to use? For instance, how do you determine which formulas you want to be at a parfum extrait concentration and which ones you’d prefer at an edp or edt concentration?

    Hello, I have a doubt, I saw another video, cant remember now, you found that 15% dilution is the fine spot between projection and fixation. The doubt is: In the same formula done at the same time aged the same all the same, can I assume that 10% dilution will project more and fix less, and 30% dilution will project less and fix more? Or its not a rule... thx

      Believe it or not, a lot of materials we use for perfumery are also used in flavoring applications too. So yes, you can...but it really depends on the material. I would not go grabbing spices in my kitchen rack and putting it into my fragrances...if that's what you mean ;)

    I follow your posts with great enthusiasm, for me you are an example! I want to start making perfumes, I'm ready, I've spent a lot of time studying this, I feel it, it's in me! For this, I don't know what kind of authorization and legal training I need. I want to make perfumes independently, at my home. For this I have to graduate from a perfumery or chemistry school, which takes a long time and costs a lot, or making perfumes can legally be part of something else? In my country where I live, Romania, there is no independent perfumery qualification course authorized by the Ministry of Labour, what can I do? Here, the law clearly states that in order to be able to activate, the authorized natural person must have a qualification in the field of activity. To what qualification would this job of manufacturing perfumes fit?

      Hello~ I have a another question. I bought a fragrance oil inspired by a popular designer perfume (MFK Baccarat Rouge 540). I want to make this into a perfume. My understanding is that I only need to mix fragrance oil and *alcohol* to turn it into a perfume.
      I get confused because I see other people adding alcohol + DPG + water.
      I don't quite understand what the DPG and water is for...

      Oh yes, I have a tall regular fridge to store things, and it's already full at capacity, lol. I keep all my citrus essential oils in there, as well as a few precious naturals or aroma chemicals that I want to preserve longer. I keep the fridge temp set at it lowest setting possible. I don't want to chill or keep things cold ..I just want to keep the items in a controlled climate where the temperature never changes and is steady.
