Weezer is still a mess, and that's alright

EDIT: So suddenly the Beverly Hills music video got claimed in this video and ngl I still don't really know what I'm doing with anything here so even though it might be fair use for me I'm too scared to argue copyright stuff right now against a big company who can just say "mmm no you still can't use it bye" so enjoy a minute of blurred footage instead!

Yaknow I'm pretty sure I started trying to write a Weezer video over a year ago and in like half that time MarcbutEvil was able to show up and make like 15 videos about Weezer that may also use Simpsons references so like what use am I.
Anyways, I'm a Weezer fan, not a historian, and am therefore fallible, but I love the band a lot and just wanted to organize my full perspective on them, so here we are.

Weezer IS the phrase “I’m cringe but I’m free” & compared to most other fandoms, it’s nice that it isn’t AS an intense community to be in (other than album discussions💀). It’s one big hurt & comfort fandom and a nice community for people who would otherwise get made fun of somewhere else. I’ve experienced that first hand- sometimes hurtful sometimes not but nothing can break me from being a proud Weezer fan 😤 the impact these silly men had on me & how often they lifted me from bad times cannot be underestimated.

and absolutely brilliant video. ive been a weezer fan for? maybe a year??? and yeah, it is sometimes difficult to defend your weezer fandom, but god, those 4 guys are just doing whatever the hell they want and i think that's really beautiful.
