L A I have no idea, sorry! I am not a labor nurse! She just placed it in between my legs when my progress started to stall, and positioned me in some certain way on my side and BAM!
I was induced and my induction lasted 2 days, I was stuck at 5 cm. When I finally used the peanut ball I went all the way to 10 cm and baby was almost coming out within 30 minutes!
I used a peanut ball for my second labour and delivery, which was a VBAC birth, and it worked WONDERS! It definitely made my contractions way stronger but it was super effective in my success! I talk about it all in my birth stories on my own UA-cam channel!
I swear I'm so thankful I found your chanel. I am pregnant with baby number 2 and my first labour was SO long and even though I still think if my labour as an amazing and empowering experience, I am working so much harder this time round on being prepared for labour. There's so much I didn't know that could have helped so much the first time
March of 2020 i had my son (baby #3) and had watched a video about using a peanut ball. So i asked my nurse and she was excited to get one for me. Now i do believe i was 8 cm at that point but it sped up the process b/c i was 8cm for a few hours. Either way im gonna do it again on baby #4 due summer 2022 :)
I would love to see a video for pregnant exercises at the office. I plan to go to work until the end and I work in an office where I sit majority of the time. What type of movements can I do to prepare for birth?
Just found out my birthing center supplies these! Super excited to try it! I wasn't expecting them to be provided having never encountered them in past births. Ask your provider- they might have them!
It's funny I sleep with my pregnancy pillow like this I fold bottom half and put it right between my legs. It feels so comfortable having my pelvis open.
I was 10cm with a cervical lip and exhausted so my midwife set me up with a peanut ball for a little bit so I could lay on my side and rest while the ball and my body did the work to get rid of the cervical lip... and it worked!
I’m 36 weeks with my 2nd and wondering when I should plan to head to the hospital as my hospital is about 1.5hr drive. With my 1st, my water broke but I didn’t have contractions. I had super fast/intense contractions after PIT started and delivered vaginally after 9 hours total from first PIT dose. Hoping I go into labor on my own this time and labor at home as long as possible.
Could this help someone who is not yet in labor but is full term start to dilate? I’m currently set to be induced in two weeks and I’m not at all dilated. I have a peanut ball at home just wondering if using this at home will help start dilation or if it only helps once in labor
Question?? Once the water breaks and the baby and placenta are born, where is the water sac? I know once it's broken it would get smaller but it's got to go somewhere right? I've always wondered. I have saw all 6 of my babies placentas and never noticed or thought about the actual sac... Kinda weird but never thought about it until this pregnancy. Thanks hun
Wish they’d have given me the peanut ball sooner than they did. Nurse brought it to me when she had me “labor down” after I was screaming in pain trying to push when the Dr told me told the Dr nope not happening he needs a break, Dr left and nurse set me up to rest. Hope I get a more experienced nurse right away this time. With both girls I started off with inexperienced nurses. They were nice and all but man my labor was ALL day and they just kept coming and checking me, not really doing anything. More experienced nurses are much more helpful. Shoulda seen the look of horror on the male student nurse when he was holding my leg for me 😂😂😂
Great video! 💜. Question, so I have a walking disability and my balance isn’t great. Can I use a peanut ball in replace of a birth/exercise ball during the laboring at home process (1-5 cm)? I was thinking of buying an exercise ball but I don’t know if I’d be able to keep my balance while sitting on it. Can’t wait for part 2! 🙂 Can I also use this to help position baby for labor? I’m currently 29 weeks and 2 days.
Watching because I just heard nurses yelling they found the PB for someone on their way down the hall past my room and I am worried about a longer labor increasing my chances of a panic attack (I just randomly get them even in a familiar and calm place) or something else crappy. I'm due Dec 13 with medical induction and it's Nov 27, been here overnight after baby didn't pass his BPP test and won't cooperate with the NST belts for anything. I've had one of my two steroid shots so far, but they're betting he is behaving so differently due to me being in constant pain and multiple infections I've been fighting, so been treating me for pain, antibiotics and lots of huge IV bags to flush system first.
Update if anyone wonders in the future: Baby definitely responded to the steroids once they got moving in my system. His heart rate is back to normal, his hiccups returned, and his movements have started to pick back up. I have three appointments with both OB and High Risk this upcoming week to keep us monitored. We are home now and I'm still hurting and having trouble eating, but I'm taking my meds as told and on my vitamins. My SO is working really hard to help keep me comfortable or at least offer to try to help, so that's helping me mentally. 15 days to go as of now. 👍

Hi have a friend who’s her sisters support person at hospital now. They do t have any peanut balls there.🤦🏻♀️ what do you recommend they can use? Ty in advance!
I've had both my kids at the same hospital and peanut ball or birth ball was never offered. Been debating if I want to buy one. I do have a birth ball.
Yes!!! My labor and delivery nurse had me use a peanut ball and it progressed me from 5cm to 9cm in 20 minutes!!! Those things are magic!🤣
This is reassuring!
How? Omg I need to know lol

Welp good to know by the time I get pregnant I’ll have all the golden rules ☺️
Wow! 😃
I’m 38weeks and been watching your videos since I found out I was pregnant. Definitely feel so educated and ready for my birth experience!
Congratulations, you are going to do great!

Going for a vbac in September, any tips?
I’m a l&d RN and I swear the peanut 🥜 ball is magic lol 😆 love love love them. Please do another video on other peanut positions

I went from 4 to 9 3/4 centimeters in 30 minutes on a peanut ball! No epidural. It was baby number 2, so I was going faster regardless.
Do u think if u use the peanut ball a few weeks before labor or in general that it could help shift baby down sooner?
It might help, doesn't hurt to try 🤷♀️
Love you and your videos so much! Currently 33 weeks pregnant FTM and you have helped me so much.
Congratulations on your bundle to be! You will do great! :)
Thank you so much for your videos from a fellow doula!😁

You should see if they will let you use a birthing ball as a chair! I swear by sitting on a birthing ball :)
I'm 32 weeks and this was so helpful...it also made me crave peanut butter
My baby is at -1 station and I want to use a peanut ball during labor. Great tips and great energy!

What is a cervical lip?
@@zehranehar7892 For me, I was basically fully dilated but there was a little bit of cervix still in the way just on one side.
Yes perfect timing I just got my peanut ball in the mail 👏
Totally gonna get the one on Amazon. 😊

Thanks for this video. I’m pregnant but I suffer from a tight pelvic floor. I REALLY don’t want to do a c section.

Try castor oil! It’s super gross and can cause nausea but it does relax the Lower end of
Your body to get induction as a result.
If you plan on laboring as much as you can at home would you recommend purchasing one yourself?

A great question actually
The sac comes out usually with the placenta. Since the fluid is gone it usually lays against the placenta but can be lifted up and the membranes seen.
I love your Spanish music intro haha
You're so pretty lol thanks for this video! Currently 34 weeks planning my first vaginal birth.

I had a male nurse student come in my room during a breastfeeding....lol. He definitely wasn't going to do labor and delivery past clinicals. Lol

Hey! Is it safe to use this before labor?
Where can we buy the smallest one?

Can you use these at home ?
Please what is the best size of peanut Pall 😭😭😭😭

Yup!
Can anyone guide me that the size of the peanut ball mentioned is it the length or the circumference
@@HinaTahir-o2l diameter on the wide part
