Wait, were those 777 safety cards in the A350? 🤔 Also, it should be noted that, like the A350-1000 cabin, Qatar Airways has a slightly newer version in their 787-9, and that seat is pretty amazing, especially the 4K screen!
@@mpilozungu2022 Reading is fundamental, my friend. Read my comments again. I have personally flown on both the A350-1000 and the 787-9 of Qatar Airways, so I know exactly what both cabins are like. Thank you.
It seemed like u are saying Airbus is 787. I read very well thank you... Perhaps structure your sentence properly. Read your comment again and see where it misleads the reader into thinking you are saying A350 is a 787. Im well aware of the similarities between the 787 and A350 in the cabin. Yeah but he took the best seat with leg room. If your gonna do economy, sit in a standard seat and for a reasonable amount of time. Any seat is comfortable for an hour.
One thing to note about the extra leg room economy seats on the A350 - for those who get cold, you may get pretty cold sitting at that seat on a long haul flight. My in laws fly the A350 from DOH to LAX several times per year and I once booked these seats for them and they got really cold on the 16 hour journey. I agree - the seat and legroom are fantastic in all other aspects.
Got a similar economy seat as you had on the A35K on Finnair’s A359 on a short hop from HEL to LHR, decided not to pay for any seat in advance and lucked out with the random seat assignments, it truly is the best of both worlds with the freedom of an aisle seat and the views of the window seat, and I’d say it’s the best seat you can get in economy. Shame I didn’t get it on a longer flight 😅 Lovely video, Tack!
Hi Dan ! I'm thrilled that you visited Kuwait! If only I were there, I would have taken care of you, showed you around, and treated you to a nice meal. I love it when you say 'Habibi, come to Kuwait' and 'Yalla' on Qatar Airways. I'm in love with your vlogs!
So useful! Iv booked economy for myself and parents from London to Auckland in July! Business class was coming up to £ 7k but glad to know their economy is decent!
I had to fly a Qatar A330... that Aer Lingus had purchased and only changed the seats to green. Had a regular Aer Lingus A330 on the way home and it was a much better hard product. The IFE on the Qatar airplane was not only old with screens that you had to stare straight into but had the two pronged audio plug, so it was either terrible sound in the earbuds they give out, or good sound, but having to fiddle with the port every time I moved. And half my foot space was taken by the IFE box under the seat in front of me. It was disappointing, because I actually like the Aer Lingus IFE.
ARN is my home airport, and basically our options to Asia are quite limited. QR, EK are some of the best for East Asia. Unfortunately the A350 doesn't seem to cover the route I am planning to fly (but 787-8s). There were A350s doing the ARN-DOH leg during the pandemic, as I saw the in T5 but now QR have Finnair's codeshare A330. It is quite interesting and actually, 2-4-2 is a nice layout nowadays! It has been ages since I last flew long haul but the 3-4-3 on 777s that many airlines is crearly not the 3-3-3 of the past; Nice to see they do this layout on the A350. What I am wondering about QR and their 787-8 if it still has the dreaded IFE box (the -9 does not), also I wish that aircraft also had the equivalent to this window seat without seat in front that many A350's have 😂
Flight from jakarta-doha 18:20 local time a350-1000 we had free wifi the entire flight duration in eco, while in contrast last year flying first class from bkk to doha; power socket didn’t work and there was no wifi working
3:45 I thought this was an A380 feature for some reason. Recently flown A380 and it's probably the best seat, you don't have to bother people when going to the bathroom but you don't sacrifice the window when you sit along the exit row.
When I first used them in 2010 their Economy was truely immense but over the next few years we noticed the standards did slip a bit. Although still great in total compared to others like BA
10:30 Can't agree with you more, a few days ago I flew in for a transit at around 1:00 am and I've never seen a busier airport in my life. Also there are constructions going on which take away a large portion of jetways, and create a lot of vehicle traffic, both of my flights used busses which took more than 20 minutes to get from and to the aircraft. Not convenient, but for av-geeks its nice to see trent XWB engines up close while boarding :)
I hope you take a Air Canada Business class from Toronto to Seoul soon! I know you did one awhile ago but I wonder if things have changed. Also I’m taking the flight this summer 😊

I'm hoping to fly from Manchester - Phuket in March 2025 so wanted to book as soon as they're available. Just wondered if it's worth buying points?
It depends on the cash price. Sometimes if the cash price is much higher than average, redeeming points for economy can make sense. Otherwise, it often doesn't provide as good value as redeeming for premium cabins!

I just got back last Sunday with Qatar from Casablanca to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Service for Kul-Doha was awesome. 3 FAs from Malaysia serviced were excellent. The foods greatest but the hard product not very good. The economy class's seat for 787-8 aircraft felt uncomfortable. Cramps and tight. Doha-KUL leg much unpleasant because food choice not great, eventhought it was served from Qatar based. Hope Qatar NEW CEO will look into it seriously.
Hi Dan. I am about to fly Qatar business for the first time. After you mentioned Velo luggage I noticed that Qatar’s luggage size restrictions are very limited compared to most other airlines…50cm instead of 55cm. Most carry-on luggage is 55cm. Do you find Qatar is very strict with their size limits? What other brands of carry-on luggage have you used with Qatar other than Velo?
Dan, you’re an avgeek. How can you not love a 20mins bus ride to a remote stand for your flight and pass by all those giant flying machines outside? Then board via stairs, talk about getting up close and personal with airplanes, beats jet bridge boarding everyday!
I fly enough that I don't appreciate being crammed in a full bus with coughing strangers for 20 minutes regardless of the view😂 Besides, most buses in Doha have windows that don't let you see outside!
ive flown the same route doh to amman so many times and its always a different experience i kid you not the last 4 routes went like this great 777-300 AMAZING 787-idk the dreadfull a320 AND A OMAN AIR A330 (yes from the qatar airways website) thought it was a a amazing experience aswell just lacking some inflight entertainment compared to the 777 and 787 and yes my last 2 flights were bus gates

Funny how I search for your video after my Japan airline flight got cancelled and changed to Qatar as well. Thanks for the review.
Thanks for another great video.
I'm still looking forward to experiencing Qatar Airlines myself - hopefully sooner rather than later.
anyone ever tried the twin seats of the 350-1000 small economy cabin in the front?
Dan, you’re an avgeek. How can you not love a 20mins bus ride to a remote stand for your flight and pass by all those giant flying machines outside? Then board via stairs, talk about getting up close and personal with airplanes, beats jet bridge boarding everyday!
I fly enough that I don't appreciate being crammed in a full bus with coughing strangers for 20 minutes regardless of the view😂 Besides, most buses in Doha have windows that don't let you see outside!
How do you know the ways to go? Daka
Hey Nonstop Dan you should take a look into LOT Polish airlines.
How to ask for WiFi i mean how will we buy!?
Please do they measure your back pack when boarding Qatar?
I loved the Velo design but worry about its weight Dan
