OMG, I flew Qatar coming from China to DC as the pandemic was kicking off. It was amazing. On the first flight I had 3 seats to myself, the food was amazing and the crew were fantastic. I had a 4 hour layover in Qatar but didn't go to any of the lounges. Meet a few people coming to DC while I was waiting. The second flight was crowded but still pretty good. Oh and everyone I met in the airport were super nice as well. Will definitely fly with them again.

I only fly Qatar from US to Bali, at least twice a year. I don't think they can be beat for the overall flying experience. Always get the lounge pass in Doha to take shower and change clothes between the first 15 hour flight and the next 10 hour flight so I get to Bali relaxed!!
I am compelled to share my recent devastating experience with Qatar Airways which was characterized by a shocking lack of coordination and customer empathy. My wife and I had a flight scheduled from London to Jakarta with a layover in Doha. Upon arriving at Heathrow and beginning our check-in process, we were informed that our tickets from Doha to Jakarta had been cancelled. A subsequent interaction with a Qatar Airways representative further muddled the situation as they informed us that it was our London to Doha flight that had been cancelled, not the latter. Despite assurances from the operations supervisor and her team that the issue would be resolved and we would be able to board the flight, we were ultimately denied access due to the flight being overbooked. The chaotic miscommunication and lack of transparency not only led to immense confusion but also subjected us to high levels of stress and disappointment, especially considering my wife is currently pregnant. We were left in a vulnerable position, with consequential losses including a non-refundable hotel stay at the Jakarta Four Seasons and a subsequent flight from Jakarta to Bali. The sheer lack of accountability from the airline and the casual mention of a 5% overbooking policy was deeply disturbing. It seemed as though the airline placed higher importance on maximizing ticket sales rather than ensuring the peace of mind and satisfaction of their customers. While we hope to be compensated for our financial losses and emotional distress, the experience has significantly shaken our faith in Qatar Airways. The airline's handling of the situation was far from satisfactory. I advise prospective passengers to consider other options to avoid such disruptive experiences. At the time of writing this review, we are still waiting for our revised flight tickets and a more comprehensive resolution from Qatar Airways. The entire episode has been a bitter ordeal and has grossly tarnished our view of what was once a reputed airline. The lasting impact on our holiday plans and the toll it took on our wellbeing was far from what one expects when embarking on a journey with an esteemed international carrier like Qatar Airways.
I hope big airplanes which caters for long flights have spaces sound proof to take your baby to hush without the fear of inconveniencing everyone on flight. It'll be comforting to know for moms traveling with small babies.

Hi TJ great video. I have never used Qatar Airways before but the food looked pretty good for airline food. Most flights I have been on the food was not too bad. Lucky for me there were no kids screaming for the whole flight. Keep smiling and stay safe

I Love airplane rice. This is how I fell in love with Brocolli Cheese soup. Had some on a flight 1x was lucky enough to get it a second time on a flight when I was older. I still enjoy eating broccoli soup on the ground. But there is definitely something about the different recipe for in flight broccoli soup that makes it that much better.

Loved this! It's always good knowing of different airline experiences! ...I'll admit though, I also was thinking of you from Netflix's Manifest which I was watching this past weekend! I almost fell off of the couch when I realized too.
I just wanted to say I have just watched your 27hr flight and stop over and admire you for putting up with everything within the seats. You have the patience of an angel 4 crying and screaming babies plus the person in the seat next to you was ill and refused to wear a mask. I would have exploded with frustration and asked is it possible to pay for the upgrade mid flight. I have flown to Sydney once with a crying baby 2 rows back and I swear by the time we landed the whole plane was ready to ask the mother Why she letter it cry for 12 hrs solid. Premium economy or business is a minimum when flying long haul at least that way you can sleep and enjoy the first day of your holiday or being with your family again. Keep up the good work on your reviews , love watching them 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Qatar's economy service has always been a much better experience than most if not all of non Gulf carriers. However, similar to every other carrier in the world. The increasing cost of doing business, supply chain and staffing challenges, along with global competition has and will continue to be realized by passengers as service/experience continue to adapt to various and complex global market realities. Qatar's economy service was extremely top-notch pre-pandemic. But still remains one of the very best in the industry. 💯

I flew once on Qatar, 2 years ago. Bangkok to Doha to Dallas to Kansas City (KC segment on AA). I’ll never fly them again.
