    I think that for your sleep schedule issue, you could try starting small. Instead of trying to make a big change all of a sudden, you could try going to bed and waking up an hour or half an hour earlier than you normally do, for a few days or weeks. Then when you get used to that, slightly adjust your bedtime and wake up time and repeat the process. Small steps can take you a long way.

    Preparation, willpower and consistency will be the key to accomplish those things that are not done on a daily basis or for those things we really do not want to do or like to do. This is my takeaway in accomplishing goals that will be a challenge for me.

      Same! Literally woke up this morning around 5:30 and knew I should be getting up but fell back asleep til 7am 😆😂 it’s a struggle.

      A tip for how I did this was I started by waking up one hour earlier than I usually did which was (10am) on my off days. And then after a month of that I started settling an alarm for 8am. Then after that I started 7:15 after a couple of months my body started to get used to that. After a while I could start setting my alarm for 5:45. It’s a way of getting your body into a mild routine without draining yourself or shocking yourself into major change.

    after my semester ive been totally off of youtube and had no idea you were doing this!!! but what i love about this series is that you didnt wait til the new year to begin! changing your habits and conducting a healthy lifestyle doesnt have to begin w the new year, it can start at anytime. i hope to learn some helpful tips as i watch this series.

    I've been struggling more with my sleep schedule as well, but scheduling a class in the morning is a good idea! I know my yoga studio has an app where you can schedule a class, and if you don't go, you're charged a $10 fee 😱 (even if you're already paying for a membership), so this could be really good motivation for me to get out of bed lol.
    Also, since you mentioned you struggle with prepping healthy food, I would HIGHLY suggest looking at Caitlin Shoemaker! She has so many good recipes, and a lot of them are perfect for meal prep. She even has meal prep videos where she walks through prepping breakfast, lunch, and dinner for a whole week, usually all in about an hour or two. She also hardly ever uses any weird, expensive ingredients that are really inaccessible (unlike many other food bloggers). I hope this helps you! Sending you lots of good vibes! 🌞

    Tips to not stay in bed in the morning:
    Don’t have anything interesting within reach of your bed (phone, books, laptop, tv, game console etc). As soon as you’re awake you’ll want to get up.
    Sleep with your blinds open. This will make sure you never oversleep. (Use sheer curtains in summer or half roll the blinds)
    Once you wake up and the sun is up don’t let yourself go back to sleep
    If you want an appointment to force you out of bed, better make it with friends or family. You won’t want to stand them up. An anonymous class won’t cut it.

    I totally agree with you, Aileen! Getting healthy is really important for us especially in the nature of our work as an online entrepreneur. We used to work every day until the wee hours and not enough rest. Primarily we need to take care of ourselves and have good and healthy habits that are necessary to our mind and body.

    I can relate so much to staying in bed even though I have things planned. I skipped every morning lecture the last few weeks and it really didn't help my final grade. It's been a wake up call and I hope you and I can wake up on time from now on, to do the things we want to do!

    I love how honest you are with us, a lot of UA-cam makes the sleeping challenge, and then they succes at first time and they go "see how easy it is, if I can do it, so can you" and it's nice to see your struggle with changing sleeping patterns, because it makes it more relatable and the joy with watching this is, that you dont give up, you just go "then I have to think of another solution❤" and I loved that. That if it doesn't work the first way, try different method and dont give up.

    I'm there now. Can't wake up early to workout. But I've also been there when I would wake up at 4a.m. n prep healthy meals. So its time and work to make it happen. Just trying to take steps towards it :) we will get there!

    I’m the same way. It’s like I need AT LEAST an hour of being awake but still laying in bed before I’m ready to get going. Once I get started I’m very productive so I consider my morning lay just a little personal time, so I don’t feel as guilty about it.

    Hey Aileen! Love this new series. I have a tip for you with the earlier mornings, that you may find helpful. You ignored your alarm for the yoga class which is understandable because there is no real consequence or expectation to be there. BUT what if you set a PT session with your friend 3 days of the week? That should keep you accountable and force you out of bed because your not going to let your friend down, are you? It’s like what you said in a previous video when you have phone calls scheduled etc. you always manage to wake up so scheduling a workout with someone physical who is waiting for you and only you might be a good way to combat that. x

    I need to changing my sleep schedule too. Because I always going to bed late and in the morning, I feel very tired for this reason. I need coffee for listening my classes, this is not okay. Because I'm teenager and I don't want to be an addict to caffeine. But I will try my best for this, I believe in myself 💜

    Yes! 🙌 the health portion is definitely one of the hardest for me. It was so easy in college to eat well and go to the gym, but three years later, I STILL haven’t figured out a routine. It’s hard when I don’t get home until 7:30ish each night. By then cooking just doesn’t sound like something I want to do. And meal prep never works for me and my husband because we crave different things each day. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’m determined to figure it all out in 2019, though! Similarly to you, I feel like I have neglected other areas in my life to get my career to where I want it to be, so I’m excited to be able to focus on other areas next year! Love love LOVE this series! 💕

    Unfortunately, betterhelp.com costs $260/month. Even with their financial aide help it is still $220/month. Just a heads up for anyone else who can't afford it and doesn't waste their time filling out a somewhat lengthy questionnaire before they let you know the cost. 😔

    Giiirl, check Cheap Lazy vegan on UA-cam, she eats pasta on the regular basis but she looks amazing (bikini pictures on her instagram prove it lol), you don't have to eat salads all the time to be healthy.
    *I'm not saying pasta is a health food alone, but you can add healthy food to it and no need to deprive yourself. You can check Forks over knives recipes, the magazine and the app have great ideas. Juuuust a suggestion, don't get angry, people, be happy 😂

    I had the exact same experience when I’m was in primary school! 😂 I think when I was itching my ear I pushed the ear wax in. I had to go to doctor to tweezer it out too

    i alwqys have trouble getting up when the sun isnt out. so its always worse in the winter seasons and shorter days. so i got one of those lights that mimic a sunrise. it helps a lot and i find myself just naturally waking up with just the light. maybe give it a try!

    Great inspiration. Sometimes I fell like I can't put this topic in order, Because at work I'm all the time beeing feed, and somtimes I work at day, others at night and my body doesn't know how to react and ask for food.But I keep trying. Good thing you did by taken care of your medical status because doctors can etll us about things we don't even suspect. In my case I have problems with tyroids and other stuff, so I can take better care of myself.

    I'm trying, however I have a few roadblocks that make it very hard. I hate cooking and I really hate cooking in a dirty kitchen. I have roommates that are not as clean as me and will leave it for me to clean up. I also don't like to bring it up because they after a few times of talking haven't changed their ways. I pay as much as them, and don't want to be the maid. I do work out around 5 times a week and been planning something fun for a different type of work out. For food I keep it simple. Bags of salads for dinner with homemade vinegar dressing.

    I am so glad I found you in 2018! You have changed my life, and seeing this I have realized with all of my other appointments in relation to just one thing, I haven't had an overall health checkup. I also do also need to work on my sleep schedule AND meal prep healthy foods. I am a failure when it comes to that... when I am tired and don't feel like cooking eating out or making the quick pasta is my way out but it isn't fully healthy.
    Currently looking up recipes after buying an Insta Pot. If anyone has any recipes feel free to link them!

    Hey :) Lovely video! I was really impressed seeing you even sharing things you "failed at" like the getting up and the difficulty with the meal prep. I face similar challenges in my everyday life and because I tend to beat myself up about those "failures" I think I could not produce such a happy and inspiring video.     Well Aileen since u have difficulty in making yourself go yoga class (in which I have that difficulty too), why not look up at UA-cam for exercises and u can do them at home at anytime u want? That's what I'm doing now since I can save travelling time and money, and I can do them at my own pace. Maybe u wanna check them out first? 😀 Anyway I would recommend jessicasmithtv. She has different kinds of exercises not just yoga. I hope u can find one that u like, or maybe share some others that u like. 😉 Let's be healthy!! 💪

      Yoga With Adriene is amazing! You don't have to exercise before others. Unfortunately, I've never committed to the 30 day challenge but it is doable. Only 15-20 min everyday. And she works different muscles each day. I will look into jessicasmithtv.

    Sounds like both my ears lol I have that happen a few times a year and I have swimmers ear that is triggered by showering lol but it's important to take care of all health no matter what it is, as you said ! Love you and this series!!!

    Hey Aileen, perhaps a good way for you not to cancel the morning Yoga is to make an accountable buddy. Go on a Yoga date with someone. I’m sure, you won’t bail out on someone just because you feel like sleeping in rather than going on to a Yoga class with the person. 😊😊😊 Love this video, keep it up!
