Kia Ora! I understand this sentiment. My best friend migrated to Aotearoa when we were 15 in 98.She lived there for about 7 years before returning to Malaysia for a while. Moved back in 2010 for a year and then back here again and now she’s back in Auckland for good. I lived in Australia for a short while and then back to Malaysia. I went to Auckland to visit my bestie once. You know what. It felt like HOME. I am a resident of Aus, and as much as I hold it dear to my heart, it never gave me the same feeling. New Zealand IS home. I cannot wait to come back in January, for good. ♥️🇳🇿 You guys are an amazing bunch of people, country is beautiful and your culture is truly something to be very very proud of. I saw a video of haka recently, and really what that dance transmits is very strong, there is something in me that recognizes this ancestral dance because I feel it in my skin, I love it.! 😊
I have to…….HAVE TO visit New Zealand before I die, what an amazing display of pride for their culture, I don’t see much of that in the United States anymore
Wolfie Who Not really a dance. The Haka was meant as a way to both psych up the warriors and psych out their enemies at the same time. When you see them stick their tongue out, it’s on purpose. It’s part of the psyching out. It’s them showing they’re crazy enough to eat you when they kill you. So the outcome they’re trying to get is their enemies running away seeing how crazy the warriors are. Every single time I see a Haka I get chills in how much respect their culture has.
I've seen this so many times, still gives me goosebumps every single time. I'm from Argentina but seeing this and watch how it makes people come together like this me makes me feel a great respect for the maori culture
I love the passion behind the hakas so much and love watching them! It's just amazing and I hope to see a haka in person one day, just to feel the passion and emotions in the air.
Goosebumps. Just awesome. Always wish I was a Kiwi when I see the haka - Wish every country and culture had something like this to bond people immediately
As a child I would often laugh at this practice. I though it was slightly crazy. Today , 39 I have nothing but respect, and I want to be a part of the Haka
Was thinking about the old times with my dad when i stumbled upon this clip, my dad passed in Feb, he's from NZ been over here in the UK for 30+ years.. when I was little he used to do the haka in front of me alot especially when the All Blacks won a game.. it was scary seeing him randomly do this but I didn't understand it at the time.. now seeing how passionate people can be doing the haka is more enlightening knowing my dad did it.. he told me that he wouldn't have come to the UK if he didn't hurt his knee during the trials for the all backs.. he had a limp.. just to think I wouldn't have been & he could've been a professional all black but how life had another fate for him. Rest in peace dad! I'll learn to do the haka & I'll do it infront of your grave.. whilst probably looking like a crazy person in the middle of a cemetery lol
Im an Aboriginal fella, but my niece and nephews are half maori on there fathers side (manu family) the haka is powerful to watch and i got chills from watching this. Respect my brothers.

I have seen this video a thousand times and there is not a day when I am not surprised and admired. My respects to the people of New Zealand, this is the best proof of love for their traditions but above all for their homeland. Hug from Argentina !!
Thank you @oscar garcia from Argentina, hugs back at you from Aotearoa [NZ]
I feel very much drawn to this. I'm the product of Mexican (with a little Native) and English/German ancestry. I see this and my spirit says to me, "These are your people. This is your home. You belong *here*."
New Zealand has a connection with South America. We have a respect for native people. Mexico is wonderful, music, culture. Indigenous people must hold their heritage. Aroha ❤ NZ
That's just lovely, beautiful . As a Persian,I am becoming very fond of this tradition. It seems to bring all together and with pride. Just loving it. Hope to visit New Zealand someday and meet such awesome people in person. Love from USA.
Thats so kind, as a fabric artist from New Zealand I would love to study Persia. Our traditions are our heritage. Aroha ❤️
I cry every time haka is perform, makes me realise how our culture is so important, love you Aotearoa, you are my home and i will leave and die here in New Zealand, im so proud to be a Kiwi, thanku for this beautiful haka, love you New Zealand, i will go away and visit other country but must return to Aotearoa, this is home
You guys are an amazing bunch of people, country is beautiful and your culture is truly something to be very very proud of. I cannot wait.
the whole world needs this
I love how people are so excited to be a part of it that they're literally taking off their hats, shoes and shirts WHILE RUNNING to join in. Lol So cool!!
The strength of history and culture and pride to belong to something stronger than you
That was so powerful! Loved the way people just joined in, feeling that pull of union. Every time I see a Haka I feel so emotional.
well done to the cop
Wendy Dick Agreed, a good coppers lot is more than just law enforcement !
yep my favorite
Yea, the only one working in this lazy mob is the Cop. The rest are all Dole Bludging Parasites.
I love how everyone, including the cop, just joined right in. Awesome.
I don't know why but I really love it. I'm from São Paulo, South America, and I think the haka spirit is in me.
Wow!! Wow!! Im South African but i love the Haka..so much passion and pride shown in the Maori culture..gives me goose bumps everytime i see it...
NZ, you are the Garden Eden!!!
Never been there, but I‘ll see you soon!!!

Never gets old. Goose bumps too
You know a mean haka when it gives you the chills
I have been down a Haka rabbit hole the last 2 hours.
This is fucking mesmerizing man.
I cannot wait to go to New Zealand some day.
Lmao same. I think this happens every year for me, I just come back to rewatch haka videos once and then.
I can feel the power from Louisiana when watching this. Badass much respect

Andrew Felcey you might like to watch "Auckland 2017 Maori Haka"
SAME
Don't forget the LSU Haka of 2018. Watched that literally 50 times tonight. I'm pretty hype right now but gotta figure out how to fix this broken desk before my boss comes back . . . . . .
I was born in the winter cold depths of Papakura and moved to Australia when I was 9 days old, I support Australia in sport naturally but the Haka always gives me chills, Respect.
This is awesome ! The haka gives me goosebumps , and really moves me. I have much respect for our great friends across the ditch , especially your wonderful PM ( can we borrow her few a couple of years ???? ) . Loved it when the police officer joined in ...very cool !
Respect earned from your islander brothers
Oh shit. Wassup past me
Yooo

Police man joined in 😂😂😂
I saw a video of haka recently, and really what that dance transmits is very strong, there is something in me that recognizes this ancestral dance because I feel it in my skin, I love it.! 😊
The way my skin shivered i dunno why but im caribbean and i felt the call.. i started crying i love this. Respect and culture love it
I just love them. Very patriotic of their culture, people with such amiable spirit. God bless NZ. Kia ora!
Love the haka, was lucky enough to see England versus New Zealand at rugby at twickenham, and the haka live is something really special
I don't know why, but every time I watch these I get an overwhelming emotion to join out and sing with them and it brings me to tears.
you are not alone.. i feel the same way.. it feels like i belong to their culture.. so much emotion..
the whole world needs to stick together right now good to see we are helping get the ball rolling
The cop joining in sets the tone from oh to bam instantly like a signal let’s do it for real! Great officer there
I have to…….HAVE TO visit New Zealand before I die, what an amazing display of pride for their culture, I don’t see much of that in the United States anymore
you'd be most welcome.....bring nothing but a smile, and you'll be algood.
Honestly, I really want to do the Haka dance. I respect their culture so much. It’s intense and amazing♥️ I love it
Wolfie Who
Not really a dance.
Im American and I think the Haka is the coolest thing EVER! I love the way a whole nation is in unity.
As a child I would often laugh at this practice. I though it was slightly crazy. Today , 39 I have nothing but respect, and I want to be a part of the Haka
What I love the most of the Haka, is that it creates a bond between the participants. They seem to be so United for the same cause.
I'll learn to do the haka & I'll do it infront of your grave.. whilst probably looking like a crazy person in the middle of a cemetery lol
bro - do it - you will look awesome and Dad will be proud.
Im an Aboriginal fella, but my niece and nephews are half maori on there fathers side (manu family) the haka is powerful to watch and i got chills from watching this. Respect my brothers.
Respect brother 👊🏾
This was awesome to see, very proud of my culture! It is very much alive.
Cherish Faleono are you from New Zealand? If so I have a very interesting question to ask you?
Girlfriend : He's probably out there cheating
Me and the boys :
EVEN THE COP TUNED IN OMG 🖤🙌🔥💀
I'm in love with this culture already 😜. Much love from Kenya 🇰🇪
So does everyone in New Zealand just know it by heart like a national anthem? I've been looking at Haka videos non stop because I'm genuinely fascinated at the intensity of how they display Haka - full of heart and pride.
Can only assume that it’s taught in school or simply at a young age since it’s so intertwined in the culture. Seems like one of those things you just, learn...
@@Iwontreadyourreply taught in schools and rugby players all do it, plus we have kapa haka groups and have haka competitions, all Kiwis learn it not just Maori
It's not just taught at school, or with sports groups it's learnt mainly within the family, at family events, family gatherings, family parties, anything to do with family we get to learn the songs, the waiata, the haka and it's learnt by being involved with a Haka Group.
No.
Places I've seen a Haka:
The Battle of Helms Deep, in LotR the Two Towers.
The Charr victory dance in Guild Wars 2.
The Mandalorian Da Werda Verda.
Weddings.
Funerals.
Births.
Retirements.
Graduations.
Greetings.
Farewells.
The pre-combat list of reasons why you're about to be shafted by an anchor...
Most beautiful thing I ever saw. The world should have a dance like this to unite.

There’s something amazing about the cop joining in. It underlines the power of the culture that he knew he had to join in regardless of his role as a police man.
God bless the Maori culture. From an English man who respects this wonderful culture so much.
Cop said fuck it. Im in
Right on bro. Absolutely agree.
*it Doesn't Matter What Job You Have, What Matter Is What Kind Of Job You Have.*
