Despite the fact that it's such a raw display of emotion and intensity .. In this context it is an inexplicably high honor to have haka tautoko performed for you (a haka of support). Its associated with love, respect, support and well wishes. It does speak to people on a very primal level so those goosebumps, emotions and feelings you're experiencing are a very normal reaction. I saw the Brazil women's national rugby sevens team do a haka on TV for the New Zealand women's rugby sevens team. They had come to New Zealand for a rugby tournament, but came two weeks early to train because their coach was Maori. They lived in a traditional Maori meeting house in a big communal room and lived and ate alongside the local Maori who were the coaches tribe. The Brazilian team all got traditional maori tattoos and we're taught maori songs and a haka. Girls do a different style of haka. More demure and graceful yet still fierce with their actions, and not squatting or poking tongues. I tried to look for this haka on UA-cam but couldn't find it. The Brazilian girls nailed it and we're naturals. Maori and Portuguese have the same vowels.

WHAT A GREAT CULTURE. LOVE FROM SOUTH TEXAS ❤️ MY BROWN BROTHERS AND SISTERS ❤❤❤
Every haka i watch makes me cry! Why? Such power strength pride.
Also you dont often see people connect on this level anymore so it can be overwhelming but in a good way.
Me too
But Not Poyz 😎😛😡
sarita schwedes sams it is such an overwhelming show of culture. Makes me so happy that their rituals still exists.
I can't think of anything that's more sexy and beautiful when a man is proud and loud about his roots... this is pure warrior, pure man!
@@StellaLovesMusic25 does it take talent to run a country? Even TV reality stars can do that these days so running a country is nothing to brag about anymore lol.
My husband and I had out wedding on the Island of Oahu, my sister lived there at the time and we fell in love with the culture. We didn't have it on the touristy Diamond Head(Even though it is beautiful). We had it at a little private park that used to be private property. We live in Louisiana and there was a student on the LSU Football team that was from Hawaii and his brother, father and friends did the Haka dance for him before the game. I thought it was amazing. Then when went to "The Kings Luau" I got the opportunity to see it up front and close, it was awesome and I totally respect those young men. Mahalo!
I love to see how that kid perfoms the Haka with so much passion. It shows how proud he is of his heritage ❤️❤️❤️
I am from Headhunters bloodline, and i know how much it means and its very emotional..... Your ancesters are so proud, nowadays many people forget their culture and traditions.... But still some people proudly show us how they do it
I feel protected just knowing these men exist.
Congrats to the couple. Live.Love.Believe.Trust.nStayLoyal!
Wtf lol hahaha
Yes
Don’t, most of them are in prison.
Uepohatu Te Kira because I work as a corrections officer that’s how I know
Rauwinia Wycliffe how does that explain you knowing that these guys are in prison? Have you personally seen these people in prison?
I shiver down my spine....Love from Sweden 💛💙
this is the first wedding ceremony I've ever seen that I'm not indifferent about.
I'm completely speechless
That bride has 30 bodyguards of anything should happen to her man.
As a humble pakeha, seemed the initial part was cook island intro. Then Maori Haka! Whatever it shows the spirit and togetherness of the South Pacific! A very blessed place to live.
You are correct, and interestingly you are the only one who pointed that out. I'm assuming the groom must be half and half.
My man is from New Zealand and I would be beyond honoured to see the Haka performed when we get married. For me, it’s about pride and acceptance. I would love to be accepted into their culture because I respect it so greatly 🥹🖤
Where country are you from ? I'm guessing Australia.
Omg this takes me to a place I've never been before, thank you for sharing. I just lost my lil bro to covid and somehow this helps me in a spiritual way 🙏🏻, utterly amazing thank you🥰
So sorry. And God bless you and yours 🙏
Didnt know my neighbours upstairs were from new zealand...
😂😂
@Chokyi Nima they probably very loud lol
Not funny
Akif Rahman referring to your post:Let’s just say this. All of us are from “New Zealand.” I’m sure u are. You probably have a little New Zealand in u. I am. If u know what I mean...😜😜😜
Ps. This is just a joke. Please don’t take this serious.
I'm dead. :))))
As a woman this kind masculine energy is so sensual for me
Refreshing honesty. Traditional male values are indeed a vanishing breed.
I sweeear ! I love masculin men !
Lol women perform the haka too😀
@@tranexamicacid5657 yeah I know, but I'm speaking of this specific video
I’m saying 🥵 something about alpha male like Jason momoa doing haka
I'm always about to cry when I see haka. Especially this one. It's so emotional..
But why u get so emotional it is just a dance??
Big clap 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻mind blowing performance💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐from-India🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮
Why does this Haka send a shiver down my spine every time I watch it, incredible passion. One day I would love to be able to see a haka in the flesh and feel that passion. It must have been incredible to be in that room.
Hats off to them. Theyre still keeping their tradition alive
Simplemente hermoso, mi corazón late muy fuerte de solo verlo y sentirlo. De mis ojos brotan lágrimas de felicidad al ver que aún se encuentran muy arraigados a su cultura ❤️
Love these because of the appreciation of culture, the chants, the facial expressions and the brotherhood 👏🏿
Good to know that somewhere men are still being raised
Desiigner, Amen!
Kikikikikikiki draaa draaaa draaaaaa
Far away from those SJWs snowflakes
@@pauskie6 please they wouldn't be allowed to do this in the us... they'll have ice on them so fast sending them "where they came from" but yes SJW would be the ones against this tradition 😂
@@pauskie6 what do you mean by sjw snowflakes
Love how the old ways intermingle with the new by the way they are dressed but still practicing their traditions. Beautiful
I know nothing of this culture but it fascinates me. I cry every time see it done at weddings. So beautiful!
So AWESOME! LOVE IT! Love seeing traditions continued on to the next generation! Beautiful!
Your video has got me hooked to the the Haka! It's just magnificent...and the energy...enchanting

I remember you
Whoa I've been watching some haka videos and I'm kinda crying my eyes out right know. Something about this is so moving to me
We as a species have been doing this sort of thing for tens of thousands of years, it speaks to the deepest part our souls even if we don't know the words.
Honestly same here
I cannot explain it but I get emotional with every Haka Dance that I see.
Lindo demais! Chega a arrepiar! Não devemos nunca acabar com nossas culturas e tradições!
I have nothing to do with your culture, I'm Latina, every time I see a haka I cry like a baby, really impressive, thanks for sharing
I thought I was the only one. I’m Puerto Rican and I always tear up.
Calmate pendeja
I have grown up with this culture and I love it. It’s so masculine! So powerful and moving. So happy other cultures love it too 🥰
Fantastic!! I love it!! I'm an italian rugby player and just watching the haka by the All Blacks is incredible each time, but after this I say: NZ is beatiful and also all the people who live there. I want to visit this wonderfull country once, certanly, in my life!! Respect!! #loveNZ❤
My heart is from hawaii even as a pr my whole life is hawaiian this always make me cry thinking off home
This means so much to them, they are 100 % focused on every word ever movement. Brilliant
One of the very few things you cant do half heartedly.
I think I am supposed to be from NZ because Haka does something to my soul!!
Me too, whenever I watch haka it fills me up with a very powerful surges of energy
Something about awakens some deep tribal dna. Or it shows how we are all one.
Facts!!!
It means you are connected to it from your ancestors the goosebumps you feel the sudden burst of emotional strength is them coming out of you no matter what nationality your are if you connect to it like that. That's what a haka means
Me too man. I feel so much connected and into this.
Уууухххх...сколько энергии,мороз по коже❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I've tons of respect for ppl that keep their culture alive. Dont let it die. Beautiful Haka. Congratulations to the couple.

I am a muslim, Arabian, From Jordan - Middle East and I sincerely LOVE the HAKA, was searching for wedding Haka as I always wish to perform it in my wedding, my wedding is in 2 months from now (May, 2021). Now because of that COVID-19 almost everything I ever wanted to do in my wedding scattered in air

I absolutely love this haka. It's so powerful and totally in sync. Awesome! Can't get enough of it. :-)
