Remember to always relieve the fuel pressure before doing this by pulling the fuse for the fuel pump and try to start until it can't to drain the fuel rails and finally disconnect the negative battery terminal!
Wish I read the comments before I wasted my time and $. Yes... $$. Eventhough 2011 and new models dont have the in line filter, places like Autozone sells the filters for it... smdh.
lol yea, it is honestly one of the things that is actually "lifetime" pretty much cleans its self out from the amount of times you fill up with new fuel
Doesn’t let people know that you have to disconnect the fuel pump relay crank the engine once to relieve pressure and disconnect battery after before changing filter
Here we are 3 years later, and they still haven't updated the title to reflect it only applies to the 2005-2010 Mustangs. 2011-2014 the filter is in the tank and easily serviceable, supposedly one of those "lifetime" deals per Ford.
This is so misleading video. Sorry for the ones who go under the car and do not find the fuel filter. Please change your video title! Starting from 2011 3.7L and 5.0L have lifetime fuel filter inside the gas tank.
You should fix this video TRQ. 2011-2014 mustangs do not have a filter in this location. Seems like y'all just assumed every s197 mustang had the same fuel delivery system.

My 2014 V6 Mustang does not have the fuel filter as this video shows. i got the filter removed the panel and No filter just a fuel line. coyote v8's have the filter in the fuel tank. well add some 2014 V6's to that list
I wonder if any one would have enough common sense to contact the parts department at the Ford dealer and ask for availabilty and price on a fuel filter to which you would be informed if its external or internal. Regardleds of the year.

The two thumbs down probably didn’t have their mouths closed while removing the fuel filter lol
Just so u know 3 years later that comment is still hilarious 🤣🤣🤣

If you have a 2011-2014 DO NOT LISTEN TO THE VIDEO. Your fuel filter is integrated into your fuel tank. Wasted my time taking the line cover off.
Man thank you so much for this
I’m sorry you took time and effort to know that
Yup mine doesn't have a filter either , 2011
Wish I read the comments before I wasted my time and $. Yes... $$. Eventhough 2011 and new models dont have the in line filter, places like Autozone sells the filters for it... smdh.
My 2012 Mustang , V6 has nothing there.

Yes I totally agree with you . My Friend if they gonna teach something the should do it completely.
Good teaching video. Now I know how to replace my fuel filter .
This video DOES NOT apply to 11-14 mustangs
Nice video other than I would have started the car before putting the plastic shield back on just to make sure you don't have a leak.
you can't claim it's for 11-14's when they have lifetime fuel filters. just tore my car apart looking for it... it's in the gas tank.
Thank you plz depressurize system relay 21 under hood ..much easier to get lines off low pressure
Should you depressurize the car first? Disconnect negative battery terminal?
I like the design of those connectors, just push in the green tab.
Thank you for the video. Doing the fuel filter on my 2012 Boss 302 tomorrow!

Yeah doesn’t apply to 2014 3.7 mustang. I followed these steps and once I pulled this plastic piece nothing was there.

Thank you for the video.
Thanks a lot. This has been a great straight forward clip. Will watch other helpful videos of yours before doing yourself project. Sincerely Eric

thanks for good info, good job as always !
2011-2014 MUSTANGS DO NOT NEED THIS!!
Why you say that?
@@sam6ix 11-14 filters are in the tank.
Mine is a gt 2014 auto and is not there, will it be in the tank?
Before you begin take out fuel relay in engine fuse box and crank the engine 4 times or so…
Can this cause a po430 code I’m wondering cause I’ve seen where it could be the cats clogged up or part of the fuel system(the filter) is clogged
My 2010 does :) RIP 2011-14 owners lol
Found out this does not apply to 2012 and up coyote engine.
My man's just dropped $50 of gas on the ground. 😳
Thank you!!!
+Freedom Captain Thanks for watching our video! 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ
Does the S550 have this type of filter? Currently 2015 GT thanks in advance.
I heard that the 2013 mustang gt doesn't have an inline fuel filter, it's inside the tank?
Nice

yep
Forgot to relieve PSI fuel pressure procedure and disconnect battery -
My 2011 does not have any filter in that location
My 2014 V6 Mustang does not have the fuel filter as this video shows. i got the filter removed the panel and No filter just a fuel line.
coyote v8's have the filter in the fuel tank. well add some 2014 V6's to that list
My 07 does not have that style clip 😮💨
*how does fuel from the gas tank not spill all over the place*

I used a tool to disconnect the hoses easier
+poundu27 Thanks for watching our video! 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ
I heard my fuel filter is located in my basement.
My fuild filter isn't there I have a 2014 track package
My 2014 mustang v6 doesn’t have one
How do I know when it's time to replace the fuel filter? I have a 2007 mustang
+Ruben D. Rodriguez, Jr. Thanks for watching! You will generally want to replace the filter every 30,000 miles or so.
@@TRQ well....(Me staring at my 105,000 mile odometer reading)
There is no filter on a 13/14 gt
“Verrichle”
Putanka , 2011-2014 mustangs dont need this.
+Garegin Asatryan Thanks for watching our video! 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ
What else have you gotten wrong? jeez
TRQ you rlly need to delete this video. Made me do all this work and spend money just to find out my fuel filter is not there
