The drumming/percussions throughout this song is incredible! The energy is unreal! I love this album, great reaction!
I don't understand why so many Slipknot fans hate on this album. It's really a masterpiece. Not to mention for Jay making his mark with the band with his very first album. He is ridiculous from track track 1 all the way through.

So from what I understand about having read some interviews and articles about the Gray Chapter, not EVERY single song is about Paul Gray, but the album as a whole and arguably most songs are

I have a recommendation. You have been wanting to do a song with the original lead singer. There is a song by Anders Colsefni (ex singer) who wrote a song for Paul Gray. It was recommended by Corey himself to Slipknot fans on facebook years ago its called "The Endless". The pain you feel from the song is how the maggots feel with Paul and Joey gone.
Great reaction as always guys! This song really came out nowhere on The Gray Chapter, the album was generally pretty laid back so I wasn't expecting such a brutal track.
Gonna kick you two some feeling it "groove rock" from the 70's. The Artist is "David Essex" the must listen to song is "ROCK ON". when rock was cool and you could move and groove to it. Enjoy !
To me. The best thing about The Grey chapter, will always be the contrast with Hope is Gone. The latter was just chaos, disorder, turmoil for a crumbling band and somehow didn't fall apart. The grey chapter however. it's them overcoming that era, finding a new sound and they did.

"Be Prepared for Hell" leads perfectly into "The Negative One" so I'm upset you guys didn't do them both here. It enhances the creepy mood. I forgive you though.

But man i luv this old skool sound...u hear Jays drumming only (drum cam) and its so f'ing catchy!
And i can never turn down Sid's scratching - the guys does more in Slipknot's sound than people give him credit for, as well as being a hyped drug fueled Dj, but i met him and hes so cool and chill.

You can clearly hear out how thin and simple the drums on this song/album are compared to their previous stuff with Joey.
Also as a fly I haven't heard this album all the way through or the newest one. They will appear when it's the time.
I admit that I have never seen reactors so dedicated to Slipknot. It's interesting to wake up each Saturday and see what you reacted to next. I still dream of the day when you react to Rivers of Nihil and Polyphia though! I know that I've been spamming with this for some time, but I'm not giving up. Go react to Rivers of Nihil - Where Owls Know My Name (official video) and Polyphia - Goat (official video). Please please please do both songs. You'll regret not doing them earlier. I'm serious.

This is my fav slipknot song to drum to.
They lyrics make it sound like a conversation with yourself. Like you're having those intrusive thoughts, and are literally having that argument with your reflection, in the mirror.

Great review guys... I recommend you to try the "Lech" And ofcourse "nomadic"...the good choice also last closing track "iowa" From same titled album - looking at compostition perspection, more rythmical parts And emotions can be heard. Closer to "Tool" style of composing...
I grew up on self titled, Iowa, and Vol3. This feels forced to me. Like they're trying to replicate an older sound but they've forgotten how to fly. Oh look I'm being the negative one lol

@Big Homie Steve The Metal Head yes! It is a pretty heavy song. Definitely one of the best on the lost and found album, too bad there are not many reactions for it. Totally underated. And LD 50 is a masterpiece :)

The Negative One is about Joey, they didn't split quite friendly... Corey admited a few times they were on a very dark place recording 5:The Grey Chapter, and said that Joey was going in one direction they couldn't follow, a negative direction and tha's why they had to let him go.. Joy WAS "The Negative One"
Corey himself said adamantly that this is not about Joey. If you really look at the lyrics it's talking about one's self. Atleast that's my interpretation.

I wouldn't consider this track Nu Metal at all, it's a million miles away from what I'd consider that genre. This has more of an industrial/thrash mix to me.
