6:37 one thing i really love bout the trash talkers is that when they pause a video they went a few seconds back again to catch back the feeling again when a certain songline/structure/melody/whatever hits in. This is how it should be done! 👍

From this album, blister exists and opium of the people, both absolute belters. My favourite slipknot song is on subliminal verses, Vermilion, what an absolute monster of a song

This album is a kick ass to the ones who were criticizing them saying their sound are just noise and swering, they shut their mouths, 1st album to introduce accustic songs
Chris’s back up vocals are bad ass & brutal in this and great drum intro! would love for you to check out Car Radio or Lane Boy by twenty one pilots.

Volume 3 is a whole vibe for me. I would say my most played record of all time.
Joey played guitar for murderdolls. Clown drums for dirty little rabbits. Cory and Jim in stone Sour. Cory sang in junk beer kidnap band. For background vocals in slipknot it's Clown, Chris or tortilla man.
I was commenting the Nameless for months and I'm so happy to see you guys finally do it, and love the smiles at the end of the songs. As far as backup vocals, that gets handled by clown and now tortilla man. Suggestions for upcoming videos, I think it would be a great weekly series if you would react to the album Feathers & Flesh by Avatar. It's a concept album with every song telling a small story that all adds to a larger story. Please consider!

Murderdolls was Joey J, DJ Starscream is Sid's dj name, and offhand I believe dirty little rabits is clowns side project.
Clown and formerly Chris is the backing vocals. The lyrics video is the album version and the video is the single version I believe.
The MV is a live, just like Custer where the MV is the live and audio the album version

Chris and the Clown are the back vocals they always screams together or alone, like in Unsainted, or psychosocial, and in every album we have backing screams from them specially in their 1st 3 albums, btw I don't hate the music video I actually enjoy Corey's screams more in the MV but its just like "Custer" its a live, the music video is a live so its good to check out the audio 1st, anyway also Chris does the backing screams in this live

This is one of my favorite Slipknot songs if not my favorite... but it is the one I never watched them playing live in the concerts I went to.
Id say the reason not to watch the music videos is because sometimes those are different, edited down versions of the song for commercial use. Such as My Plague, cuts out a lot of the aggressive build up/breakdown section much like the radio version. Also when anyone reacts to videos, it takes away from the visual that the song paints for itself.
The best Slipknot album. Hands down, no questions.
It showed a whole different side of the band. It displayed everyone's musical talents. Had ballads, anthems. Weird songs. Had it all. This is their shining gem. Their gold standard in my eyes. Iowa is and will always be everyone's favorite. It's dark and heavy as shit. But volume 3 is close to my heart and always will be.

@MrNiceGuy I think slipknot is definitely better to hear studio first. For a band like say Alice In Chains or something you can’t go wrong hearing them live before studio for the first time, like the unplugged show or the live at the moore show. Corey is still a good vocalist live but def better in studio.
Yes, it was an impressive song, not one of my favorites, but it was different. And the backups were made by Chris the one with pinocchio nose (now tortilla man XD ) and clown
Btw, when we fans heard these songs for the first time or studied them so to speak, we listened without videos with just the lyrics in front of us. Allows you to picture the meaning in your head through the descriptive nature or emotion let out in the music. So videos will never do justice. You just have to feel it. Not be told how to feel with video cues or mixed messages.

Murderdolls was a band Joey played for, the GG Allen band was Murder Junkies. Clown and Michael (formerly the guy with the pinocchio nose mask before he was fired) do the backing vocals.
Pretty sure his name is Chris. Michael is the name of the guy who replaced him...

Recommendations if I may, the song Iowa and the video for Sic from the Disasterpieces DVD in London 2002. Or if you have the time, just that whole show. Easily one of their best performances ever.

well, since you asked.. in the video clip they use the live performance version where as everyone knows slipknot is for one thing, they are much better in live performances.. and you can't missed chris' back vocals in that video.. he f'n killed it.

Official music video isn't for studio version, it's from a live album and I would say that version is much better. Chris used to be their backing vocalist, besides doing percussion. They never do backing vocals for studio recordings, it's for live performances only. Clown occasionally acts as second backing vocalist, but Chris is the one who used to do it on every single show.
They've done plenty of backing vocals in studio, it's like half the band screaming "People = shit" on people = shit. Plus the Disasterpiece chorus, Heretic Anthem chorus, pretty much anything that isn't a verse other than on Unsainted or This Cold Black.
What's happening fellas. You guys should try some Filter "Welcome to the Fold". Great band, and you guys should definitely check out HUM from the 90's very very underrated band. Stars is a good one to start with, or The Pod. Great work as always brothers, keep it going 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
