I'm having fun with the game, I just wish I REALLY wish it took advantage of its setting more. The City really evokes that cyberpunk feel, but the game doesn't take advantage of it.
around 35% of the game is also missing, the underground, and quite a few storylines are withheld, and will properly be sold to us as a expansion/DLC later.
Hope we can get into AVs and see the rich areas also more fight clubs and bounty hunting and PI type missions i love the noir vibe while walking around w a trench coat
CDPR probably wanted to get into it more, but they have to consider the attention span of the average gamer. It is probably better to get a good foundation built then expand it even more in sequels in the future. So much information wasn't explained or mentioned that they'll still have a bunch of source material to work from.
I just wanna say...your attention to detail is on point. In the Samurai and Johnny Silverhand segment, I love how you distinguished Marines from soldiers. Great video so far! Thank you for this :)

This was fantastic. Mike Pondsmith is one of the greatest world builders, up there with Tolkien. The reason I love this universe so much is that it's the most least fictional fiction, the most feasible reality. This piece of art is a warning and a map of the relative path of our current society's future. May the human disease never leave this planet and spread its infection beyond.
@@Xetttt oooh those. I read them but never really understood those books. The writing is way too confusing for me. Gibson is not really my favorite writer. I prefer Phillip K Dick. Having said that, I think Pondsmith has a much more fleshed out world than Gibson.

Extraordinary explanation of the Cyberpunk world! After playing CP77 and watching Edgerunners I wanted to know more about the world and this was way more than what I was expecting. Great job, man! I'm just in the first 10 minutes and it's incredible work. This game has a really huge background and that's awesome. Means we'll get a lot of stuff in this universe from CDPR in the years ahead. Just finished reading my copy of CP2020. Can't even imagine how they played all that stuff with so many rules on paper sheets. Now it's just the artbook left to read in the remaining days. And here we goooo...
It was tedious and overly complex, but if you had a group more keen on roleplaying than stats and a good GM like I had, it was a blast and a half. A lot of my fondest tabletop rpg memories came from when we ran that, the environment is so much fun to play in
there wasn't much of dicerolling etc. when I played the few games of cyberpunk 20years ago. GM told that he likes to keep it more into conversational because its nicer that way and dice rolling gets tedious.

Also, hats off to Mike Pondsmith. This man really did an amazing job coming up with the lore of this game and everything within it. This is some amazing stuff and I think this series is a good counter to Shadowrun. I'm blown away by the lore and how deep everything is. Shadowrun is very deep, too, but I am kind of drawn to this world a bit more intimately. I wish I played the tabletop game with a few friends and went through some instances. I think it would be an amazing experience.
I will never understand why this game's bugs overshadow how great of a single player RPG it is. This game was fucking amazing and it's storylines were fantastic. All of the Fallout games and Skyrim were also littered in bugs but they received zero hate, this game had so much more soul and now squandered potential because it got crucified by a player base who didn't even appreciate or understand what it brought to the dying single player rpg genre. I really hope CD doesn't toss this game to the wayside and continues their commitment to it because it is an amazing game.
Honestly I think it's the fucking marketing hype trains fault. I got the game after the 1.5 update patch in a steam sale and I love it, hadn't heard about it before though.
I knew this was based on something pre existing but I had no idea there was so much already behind it. Words can not express how much I appreciate this deep dive. Subbed and excited to see more.
Crazy good video! One of the best things about it is your voice isn't annoying just normal calm and easy to understand. You read the script at a perfect pace and there are no mess ups or stuttering for the whole hour.! Nice
This video is more introspective about the Cyberpunk lore than the game itself! I absolutely love this video and all t the untapped potential that the Cyberpunk game could adapt from this. I would love to see this universe and aesthetic be flushed out in other mediums and potentially build a movie universe from the background of it.

Very nicely done, on both the presentation and editing, thank you. I played the old pen & paper RPG back in the late 80s, but had forgotten some key story elements, and never knew any of the events after Cyberpunk 2020. -- As a veteran returning from deployments in central America and Asia, it was easy to connect with a game about a near future where corporations were screwing up the world, and what was left of the government was just giving them cover.

I'm having fun with the game, I just wish I REALLY wish it took advantage of its setting more. The City really evokes that cyberpunk feel, but the game doesn't take advantage of it.
I want to be furry so bad once I learned that was a option. >_>
around 35% of the game is also missing, the underground, and quite a few storylines are withheld, and will properly be sold to us as a expansion/DLC later.
@@BleuSkiddew no, they just didn't finish the game.
Dude you must have worked so hard on this. By far the best cuberpunk lore available on YT. I’ve watched it numerous times. Thanks!
Took some time : ) Thank you sir!
I just wanna say...your attention to detail is on point. In the Samurai and Johnny Silverhand segment, I love how you distinguished Marines from soldiers. Great video so far! Thank you for this :)
This is better than any lecture class...👏

Indeed. You can imagine how slow time progressed this morning on a lecture about databases when I all I wanted to do is watch this! Lol!
I'm always a sucker for incredibly detailed world building and its unique jargons which elevates the setting completely, and this video highlights those points profoundly. Absolute masterpiece! Keep it up!
Oh wow did not expect this, definitely watching everything
Who else is here before the game comes out, looking to go in with a clear view of the expansive world of Cyberpunk
I've watched and re-watched so many of these hour+ long videos just to get the lore engraved in my brain 🤣 I feel you dawg lol
@@oreo2010rip Same here, I feel like to get the best experience in these kind of games you have to at least know the basic lore. And I'm going deep into the Cyberpunk lore.
Exactly, and it’s cool we have a full video on lore. There’s hella videos about lore but it’s all over the place and usually on one aspect of it. Really hard to keep up. I like i can now just watch both these parts in whole to have a full understanding
lol I played the paperbacks when I was in highschool. I am quite familiar with this. Fun to see a video on it again though.
Well, you got some more time to go into the lore 😂
Hearing that USA said "Fuck it" and walled off Detroit is the most Detroit thing i've heard.
Wow, hour long video and only 1 midrol ad (and right at the end too). Much respect for that. Great video too, thanks for catching me up :)
I'm so gutted most of this stuff wasn't in the game. The modified pets, custom cyberware mods and loads of shopping sounds so cool

I never thought that this franchise is at its core a pen and paper game, which makes it even deeper and CDPR potential for adding new content is limitless. Thank you.
it common knowledge to cyberpunk genre fan. CDPR only took the blueprint and change some things here and there.
that why most of us fan was pissed bcs they monopolized the name of the genre and the keywords you couldn't found anything about cyberpunk without come across (2013/2020/ and mostly 2077)
A short break between each segment with maybe a slide and a headline woulda been nice, so as to seperate the different topics and make it easier to follow and digest
Otherwhise this is very very good, thumbs up.
Yea, I'll make the breaks longer next vid
Am i the only one who finds the constant stream of information refreshing? Too many youtubers talk shit for way too long 😂 i actually kinda like this format
@@Endemoniada It's easy for you to press the pause button when you need a break. It's hard to skip breaks/slow pace when it's already in the video. I like this format.
I agree. The video jumps all over the place from subject to subject with no order.

I can't even imagine how much work you put into this. Respect!
Yeah, because there isn't a famous cyberpunk book that released 4 years before Cyberpunk 2020 first released at all, right?
You’re one of those huh
@@Xetttt which is?
@@Cubannerd The Neuromancer trilogy
@@Xetttt oooh those. I read them but never really understood those books. The writing is way too confusing for me. Gibson is not really my favorite writer. I prefer Phillip K Dick. Having said that, I think Pondsmith has a much more fleshed out world than Gibson.
I've played a Cyberpunk 2020 campaign in the past, but I got only a thin slice of all this lore. This is incredibly well-compiled, thanks for getting us up to date on the world we're all about to enter!
It a shame that most of these cool guns, gangs, cyberwarw wasn't in the game
Extraordinary explanation of the Cyberpunk world! After playing CP77 and watching Edgerunners I wanted to know more about the world and this was way more than what I was expecting.
This is why I think there should be a CP77 sequel. The world can tell an infinite number of stories and can implement many of the info in this video as mechanics.
Woohoo! Full Lore dive, let's go! Let's go! Had a felling something like this was what you meant when you said you had a big project coming up!
Beautiful, I can only imagine when I get my hands on this game.
I'm getting some snacks, that one will take a while!
Yo, this is incredible. You made chapters out of things that are only about a minute long, in a video over an hour long. Rad of you, dude.
Appreciate my man
Great job, man!
GM told that he likes to keep it more into conversational because its nicer that way and dice rolling gets tedious.
oh no.....
@Smunstu Stinkymonster no choices matter, there is no immersive experience, its all lies. Games 20 yrs ago had more customization and choice making that mattered. Kotor for example.
3 paths all the same. Its not even an RPG. You get every ending no matter what you choose, I coukd go on and on, don't get me started on the AI or wanted system, not even a tattoo shop LOL. The NPCs all have throw away lines, CDPR lied to ppl.
See RDR 2 on how to do an immersive game on ps4.
@Smunstu Stinkymonster exactly how is RDR2 shallow and not immersive? RDR2 is literally thee most real world authentic game on the market imo. Immersive lit is Cyperbunk 1977. Please enlighten me. I really would love to hear this.
So, I'm finally getting into the game and came across this masterpiece.
Great job, must have taken hours to put together.
You never disappoint Neon, you were the one keeping my hype high all this time.
The level of detail in this world is insane!
I got the game after the 1.5 update patch in a steam sale and I love it, hadn't heard about it before though.
they prob are gonna give up on it. they say this expansion coming up is the last one

This video is more introspective about the Cyberpunk lore than the game itself! I absolutely love this video and all t the untapped potential that the Cyberpunk game could adapt from this. I would love to see this universe and aesthetic be flushed out in other mediums and potentially build a movie universe from the background of it.
This is exactly what I’ve been wanting thank you so much!

The Trauma Team explanation was so detailed, earned you a sub!
Check out the lore article following the shift log of a trauma team leader... it's hilarious
The sheer volume of source material for CDPR to go through, is itself an accomplishment.
Finally!! So excited for this!
CDPR need to be paying you for making this. Very well done.
Please Pt 2 before Dec 10th?
