This is a super underrated video. You actually explained what each filter does, so that we can all learn what will work best for us. Instead of trusting whatever some other "guru" said to do. For that you get a thumbs up and a subscriber. Keep making these videos.
This comment made me so happy! Releasing a video tomorrow that goes even more in depth on microphones that filters for OBS. Will be a great watch!
Thanks a lot, I'm a beginner in OBS streaming with friends and this was VERY helpful! Cheers, mate!
Glad it helped!
My mic sounds better than it ever has before AND this was way easier to set up. Thanks a lot for making this.
Love this!!!
Brand new to OBS. This helped a ton. Thank you.
thanks so much, this really help a lot!
This has been the most helpful video on OBS filters I've found yet. Thanks!
Love this!!
Amazing video, thank you for giving a little explainer for each filter. A video on those reaper plugins would also be very nice :) +1 sub
This is a Absolute Awesome Video, very Helpfull, Keep on the Great Work, greetings from Germany
Hey, thanks!
Wow this was actually informative and easy to listen to. Most "HAI GUYS WELCOME BACK HERES HOW TO STREAM!" vids are just unwatchable but this... this was nice. Have a thumbs up.
Love this comment!
Just found this video. Been struggling immensely with my audio in OBS when I stream. This has helped me a ton just going through the filters at a level I can understand. Thank you so much!
Glad it was helpful!
An awesome video as per usual, Brandon! 😁👍👍 I appreciate you for taking the time to go into such a high level of detail and thoroughness. 😄👌
Cheers to you, my man! 🥃🥃
Thanks!
thank you man your awesome
You are!
Loved this, my stream has finally stopped having audio issues
Loving your videos! I bought the K688 based off your comments and it's definitely a lot better than the fifine T683 I'd been using before - even just having the dial to adjust the headphone monitoring is a life saver. I have one specific question. How do you approach adjusting your volume/levels on the dials on the back of the mic? and then also how you go about balancing your OBS settings along with those? And then the part I don't really hear anyone talk about is how do you set your in-game settings so that you sound good to your teammates etc (warzone / mw2 for example). I feel like between the OS sliders, the OBS sliders, the in-game sliders AND the physical dials for gain and headphone monitoring on the mic itself, there's a lot of different places to go wrong with your settings. 😳 Thanks!
Thanks!
You're welcome! Thank you for the support!
Did you make end up reaper EQ video?
Hey bro great vid. I had a question. I followed all these settings but im have problems with the beginning of some of my words not being picked up. Like words that start with "s" sound or "t" sound or "p" sound.
Lower the attack on your noise gate so it opens that gate quicker, or raise your threshold a bit so that you know it's open when it needs to be
Thank you man!!!
I have a HyperX Quadcast and my voice keeps having this light echo, do you know how i can make it sound more crisp?
w video
Does it matter what order you out the filters in or you will still get the same effect regardless ?
Yes! the order does matter!
@@DarkenedCyrus thanks
What if i already have the noise suppression in wavelink? Can i have it on obs and wavelink at the same time?
Totally
what mic do u use
Depends on my mood. I use the SM7B in my streaming setup, but flop between the FDUCE SL40 and the FIFINE K688 for other stuff.
Due to a health issue, I have a persistent cough. Is there anything out there that will automatically mute the cough while still letting me talk? Thanks!
Nvidia RTX voice would be the best option, if you have an RTX card. I’d not, the Noise Supression in OBS might do a decent job at this as well. The issue is that it won’t be perfect and won’t automatically mute, but rather try and remove the sound
My voice cuts out when I move like 1 inch away from my mic. lol What filter is causing that?
Noise gate most likely
My main issue is, I have to reduce the volume for my NT-USB Mini within Windows, because it clips in OBS, even if the volume within OBS is reduced. The problem then becomes an issue of... nobody can hear me in discord.
I've found no solution and I really, REALLY don't want to have to relay on Voicemeeter again for it.
Is there a problem with lowering the gain in Windows? That isn’t a bad solution. Doesn’t that microphone have a gain knob anyways? Just turn the gain down on it. It shouldn’t be 100 by default
@@DarkenedCyrus So the USB Mini doesn't have a gain knob, as for reducing the volume within Windows that's also fine.
The issue is just when I'm on discord, even with the microphone at 100% in software it's still too quiet, even with people turning me up to 200%.
Within OBS it's fine and I stay within the yellow while peaking a little into the red. If I increase the volume within Windows it ruins the quality in OBS... but then people can hear me again.
