I got the fifine BM88 in white on sale for $48 and I absolutely recommend it. I actually mounted upside down on a shelf above my monitor and it works perfectly.
For me, Ive been through the Neweer cheapys, then the Rode PSA-1 and then a Gator one. And I ended up hating each of them. Then the FIFINE BM88 LP walked into my life. Now I find money on the street, the vending machines give me two sodas instead of one, and I no longer have any back pain. Absolutly love the BM88 low profile. At sub $60 it is the GOAT for me. Would love to have an AM8 to try out some time as well.
Noob question: Does the fifine BM88 allow for a shock absorber to be attached and if so which should I buy? I was thinking of buying a Zoom ZDM-1 Mic with a Focusrite vocaster to just to get started. I assume most arms have industry standard attachment capabilities or am I wrong? Any help here would be appreciated.
Getting a mic arm is a must have for remote TCG playing. Thanks for getting this out there, helps people find a good mic arm for their needs. I got one of the very generic guys off of Amazon, but cannot attach my mic to it bc the FDUCE screw part is too broad, need an adapter piece.
Thank you for your recs, love your thorough analysis (and excellent video quality!) Just bought the Elgato wave lp arm for my Twitch streaming. My voice is gonna be so much clearer while playing BG3! :)
I would love to see you review the neewer low-profile boom arm, I reviewed it on my chann, l and in my opinion, it's the most versatile boom arm on the market.
I love the Elgator LP arm, but when i attach my Rode NT1 to it, i need to tighten the screw so hard, that i'm always afraid to break it. Currently using my Fifine AM8 on it and the combination is absolutely perfect. Thanks again for your AM8 review, which was the reason i got this mic. Love it!
@@DarkenedCyrus In case you want to review a hidden gem, that somehow no one talks about, you can take a look at the Hercules stream 200 xlr. That's an audio interface + streamdeck in a single device and has enough juice to power a SM7b. I own one and i'm super happy with it. I have NO idea, why there're almost 0 youtube videos about it.
Having trouble finding a low-profile mic boom that can accommodate my 5/8" thick, extra shielded XLR cables. Surely there are products that can meet this rather elementary requirement! Most low-profile boom with "cable management" seem to only work for regular XLR (or other) cables that are NOT as thick as the ones I use. Life is too short to waste on issues that could be avoided.
I have 2 mics a AKG P120 & the Rode Pod mic do you think that the IXTECH will be compatible for both mics? because I don’t want to spend $100 for the Rode PS1 Boom if I don’t have to
Do all of these support the The Blue Yeti X microphone? I bought one of the blue yeti mic arms and it turns out that the metal part on the end is only meant for Blue Yeti (not X) :/
Is there a small arm, like that Rode one, but that attaches to the table like the others ? So I can attach to the back of the table and have it come straight forward ?
Yes and no. I do have to crank it down, but that little bit of adjustment is nice when you are moving the mic so you aren't hard moving the desk/table its attached to. I kinda see it as a feature
Loved the Innogear LP for all of two weeks. Streaming and trying to use the keyboard was the issue. The arm forces you to move the mic too far away to type.
as I'm working to slowly upgrade my setup I come across this, youtube is either using data collected from my browsing or reading my goddamn mind cause I haven't talked to anyone about working on this verbally for my phone to give me away
I have the Bilione stand & I politely disagree I think its quite weighty at the base, I have my Fifine K688 attached and never had an issue with it being top heavy. You can always stick a couple of felt pads to the base to give it a bit of softness if required.
This is really awkward about the branding when you're sitting behind the most recognizable mic in content creation that is bought only because it's a flex. Many mics both more and less expensive are better in many measures. But nothing flexes on youtube quite the same. Seems like you dislike the branding cause a $300 mic looks silly on a $32 arm when you're trying to flex on youtube...
I 100% agree, however you said flex WAY too many times lol. The SM7B is totally not worth the cost. I paid $270 for it used and only because I make content around the microphone. It’s well paid itself off now
What are some cheaper recs for mics that outperform the Influencer Mic? I have an audio interface and an XLR cable, and am curious about what other options are out there
Fifine K688 is a near match to the SM7B tonally. I have both, and Fifine has gone from "budget but okay" to "it's just objectively good" over the years.

Are there springs inside of Fifine BM66?
Will it hold my small foldable mic soundproof screen as well as my WA 47jr mic without collapsing. What's the weight ratio
This video was exactly what I was looking for and your comments were on point and helped me in my decision.
Love this!! So glad it was helpful!

100% all shock mounts use the same microphone mount threading and this supports that.
I have the fifine low profile arm and I love it. It's a great arm

Would you recommend the FIFINE K688 and FIFINE CS1 boom arm bundle?

Dude the 4k quality and high bitrate, it looks so good.
Thanks!
Hi, Thanks for a nice and in depth review. Do you think BM66 works fine with Rode Podcaster mic?
where is the blueprint for the 3d printed tool for the Elgato Mic Arm
Elgato LP or the fifine if money is out from the calculation?

Appreciate the great video. Definitely helps in my boom arm purchase
does fiine bm66 works with the shure mv7?

Love the AM8! And yeah, that’s the entire reason I printed that piece to tighten the Elgato arm, the Rode NT1!

@viice_ I’ve seen ads for it on FB, and apparently it’s been out for a while. I’ll check it out, thanks!

is the ball mount on the elgato wave lp, plastic? what about the ball mount on the fifine bm88lp?
Getting the FIFINE BM88 😁😁

Can u plz link the Elgato 3D printed tool? i can't find it anywhere and i want one too 😁
WAIT! your ball head mount on your FiFine LP is white? wth lol mine is black. same white arm but the ball head mount is black
Mine is special lol
@@DarkenedCyrus my ball head is also white (LOL)
Does your Elgato arm lp sag down a little bit whenever you adjust it?

That also heavily depends on the mic. With my NT1 it sags a little bit, but with the AM8 attached to it, it's no sag at all.
Can the Fifine BM88 hold on the SM7B without issue? I have the elgato LP and the SM7B goes down by itself
0 issue. Been using it for the last 3 weeks and have had no issue. It tightens up well and still has even more adjustment
@@DarkenedCyrus thank you!!!
I want to get a fifine arm but i don’t think they are compatible with blue yeti mic.
Why? They have all 3 mount types and hold heavy mics

Definitely wouldn’t be top heavy with the K688, but it is with the Rose NT1 and the Podmic
@@DarkenedCyrus fair comment - I only have 1 mic so yes I’m sure some are much heavier indeed.
