      And gently crack the bottoms where the air pocket is before boiling to make peeling much easier.

    The game of catch is how I made my buddy whos just started cut his 3 putts to a consistent 1.5. hes been getting a lot better and honestly catch is the best way ive found to help anyone. Glad you talked about it today!

    The game of catch mentality has helped me so much in the past. I've had my wife stand behind the basket several times and when she does I almost never miss. Need to keep that in mind every round! Thanks Robbie, loving the content as always!

    I've always thought of popping my fingers as just a natural part of the follow through. However, after watching this video, I'm doing it intentionally. Adding accuracy and distance with less effort to my putting game. Thank you so much Robbie!! Your teaching makes me better every time I tune in. ✌️

    It took until now, because of the egg toss analogy, to understand how to pop the disc when putting. In just a few days I'm hitting more putts from further away with more consistency. For me, it gave me confidence to nail those 15 footers without much thought, and make more from 20-30ft. Thanks Robbie!

    A less messy option is a rhythm band egg-shaped shaker, available for $3 or less at your local music store. The sound can help with assessing the amount of pop or, conversly, the smoothness of the motion.

    Thank you! I took a putter out back where I have my practice basket and 20 feet marked off. Normally I make 5 of 10. This time I made 10 of 10. The difference was that I didn't spread my fingers out and I supernated my palm. Perfection!

      It's still good to do even for a spin putt! It might be a bit more subtle but still adds quite a lot of power if you get the timing right

    I feel like an idiot but at the same time happy about hearing the very last segment about "just playing catch" because quite frankly thats all it is. I used to be a pitcher and thats how I always approached it and now is how I teach young kids to mentally engage themselves for it. I dont know why I didnt apply that to putting but after seeing this video I did and it made a world of difference. Im not that good by any means but taking off that bit of pressure really did make things easier than looking at it like some trial. Before this from 20ft out I might make 2 out of 10 , after I hit 4 out of 10 once and then 5 out of 10 before going 3 for 10. Immediate improvement just by switching the mental aspect . Crucial tip .

    I love your videos and decided to watch each one. This one was an awesome breakdown. Question, on practice goals for beginners, I tried putting as far as I could to at least understand what my max distance is in a normal putt stance. I got to 50 feet to get that far the disc goes big hyzer and takes a journey but gets parked at the 5 to 10 foot range. I use a lot of spin (to park it). So is that far enough? For accuracy, I'm in the 20 foot range with 80% success. What does this mean? What kind of practice would best enhance my game? I don't know what my goals should be. Get to 100% in 20 feet. Does practicing parking discs at 50 feet make sense too or is it best to work my way back from the basket and focus on accuracy.

  • @ericfleet9602
    @ericfleet9602 2 роки тому

    I really like this style of putting but find that I have a huge hyzer to my disc when I do this. I've tried supinating more but then I end up yoinking the putt off to the right more often than not. Got any advice for me?

    I understand this video was to show the push putt and to think of putting as playing catch but I found my friends lost disc and I tossed it to him and noticed that it was accurate right to him but also that it was nothing like my putting motion so now I have the mindset of playing catch with the basket but I should use my natural motion like passing the disc to my friend

    This is a good video but technically this is a spush putt. A true push putt (ie scott stokely, dave feldberg, ken climo videos) has the wrist locked in place and the spin is generated entirely by the fingers/hand opening
