- It's not as attractive...but man does putting make for solid rounds. In today's video we're going to discuss some of the most common reasons I see people miss putts. It comes down to three misunderstandings of the putt whether it's a lack of time trying to learn how the putt works or even just not being able to grasp it from other videos I wanted to help both issues! There is a joy and fun that comes to disc golf when you know you've got a better chance at closing out each hole. How can we get those putts in the basket more often?? You'll have to watch to find out!!

We missed a slight error on the edit side around the 2 minute mark! But wanted to get the video out on time still, so enjoy the behind the scenes look at my thoughts 🤣
You pulled a Mitch McConnell 😅
A younger version of it.
My favorite part!
Aim small, miss small. Love the idea of those dots
One of the things that helped me out the most was forgetting that I was holding a putter, and then rather tossing it like a bean bag
As a certified basement putter, its hard for me to vary anything but the distance. I can do straddles behind a wall. I agree i am not doing optimal putting practice but I try to focus on the mechanics getting to know my putt so that I know what to tweak to go up or down or around things
Thank you Robbie C. Going to put my two baskets in different places to practice more diverse putts.
Thank you, this putting show helped me bunches. Cheers!
The point about tossing a disc back to a pal when clearing the basket resonated with me. Never miss *those* throws!
Very informative, thank you!
Great video. This helps a lot.
Seeing as I cannot drive for show (VERY rarely hit the 380-410 range without throwing a roller, mostly 300-330), I 100% cannot afford to putt for "stuff." All putting help is appreciated when informative.
Thanks for this video. You are 100% right about changing the scenario of the putt. Me and my buddy do this by simply playing PIG.
You're a really good coach 😊
Aaaaaaa! I've been waiting a while for my name. As always great info Robbie, we all appreciate you brother 💪.
Great stuff, man! I do a lot of putting instructional videos that have helped others.
I truly believe teaching putting has helped me with my own putting too.
Question, since i struggle with C2 and +66 feet putting lately: do you find a different grip than the fan grip or thumb placement to help?
I think Simon said something about this once, that his thumb or grip is slightly different to hit those super far putts more consistently.
Topanga hits the dot always!
I’d love to get those disc dots, can’t find the pack though. Going to be available soon?
What’s the basket you use for practicing and where can I get one I’m thinking of buying one???
When are the three pack and markers going to be available?
I found I have to stop after 100. Any putts after that are trash. Plus my wrist starts to hurt somewhere around 150 and I want to avoid this. I agree with everything you said
I’m doing great 😊 ❤
Yes!!!!
Yes you’re correct, I’m bad!
Question. Beginner here. I haven’t played a round of disc golf yet, but have a basket just to throw for fun. I understand the practice dots. So, what I’m I aiming for?, on the course
Pick a single chain link to aim at if you’re close enough to see them
Red electrical tape (or any color) works good.
Drive for show putt for dough! That’s what I have been told.
Poor Jasper.
I have to remind myself to donkey kick when putting or else i wont have any power
Drives are for show, puttings for the dough.
Disc dots seem pointless to me. If you just aim for the pole you'll be fine
just got a practice basket as an (early) birthday present. this was suuuuuuper helpful, robbie.
btw, are birdie talks coming back? hi to lindsay! 🛴❤
