Nothing negative to say about those guys I just don’t understand. Is our demographic that small in the automotive world do people just not know about you guys? @CumminsWorks 2 роки тому +2

      Depends on outside temps, we just use a temp gauge on the oil filter to judge oil temp. Generally you’re safe idling for 2-3 minutes. Just don’t beat on it or you’ll cook the head gasket at the exhaust ports.

    I appreciate the videos and the information. I was also wondering the how long to let engine run first start up no water . Are you using the 5.9 or the 6.7 oil cooler . Is a fluid damper worth the investment on a lower hp build . . I was thinking the Stroker engine might spool the turbos better . The oil pump is also for a 5.9 ? THANKS nice truck bu the way .

    • @pddofficial

      Hi Jim it ran for 15mins just enough to brake a cam in and get the oil to 160 degrees.for the oil cooler it is a 5.9 oil cooler. For the fluidamper they are a very nice unit and help a lot engine vibration at any HP . Stoker engines help a lot to spool turbos up . For the oil pump it is a 5.9 motor

    How much to build on 1200 hp

    • @DeathHead1358
      @DeathHead1358 2 роки тому +2

      You'll probably be looking at the $10k+ range. The only thing that you'd likely be able to use from the original engine is the block and head, with work done to both. The stock bottom end will hold 700-800hp, but you're really asking for trouble trying to higher than that. Compound turbos are ideal, just for the sake of being able to spool them easily. You could run a fuckoff huge single turbo, but nitrous would be a must to spool it up. You would also need a serious injector pump, that would be around $3k alone to buy a new one.
