For me I liked this one for being different didn't love it but I appreciate that it tried something different I found Kills decent for the hack and slash but wasn't a huge fan so I was more open to something new with this one. To me this movie basically took the concept of the ending of H4 with Jamie becoming a killer to potentially team with Myers only to never happen. This movie pretty much took that idea and ran with it I do feel the movie didn't go full force with it if you are going with the idea anyone can be the shape if they are a serial killer then I feel Corey should have just fully become the new Myers by the end that and the whole Laurie vs Michael climax felt tacked on and shouldn't have been part of the movie. This whole movie is built around Corey and Allison and should have had a climax with those 2 with Laurie as a secondary character they should have had the movie end with Allison having to kill Corey while he was in the Michael outfit in order to save Laurie that would have been more powerful and fit this story better. In my opinion this Halloween trilogy could easily be shortened down to 2 movies you could easily take the 2018 movie and combine the mob subplot of Kills into it and introduce Corey earlier in the first movie then go straight to Halloween Ends and it would play smoother.
Well it does say some thinga, Corey’s entire arc is about how people want something evil like Michael Myers to blame and to fear, it’s just not told well at all and he dies by the end and i shouldn’t have to explain how that isn’t an ending. It feels like the writers had an idea but wrote themselves into a corner whilst simultaneously remembering they had to end the trilogy so they just said fuck it and killed him off
Initially I felt like he viewed the boy in 2018 as a threat after watching him shoot Sartain so that’s why he killed him. But then he killed the kid in Kills…yeah idk
I laugh so goddamn hard when I see it that kid was a little shit but hey want to make it extra funny? Line up his fall with the Goofy or Wilhelm scream
Right. I swear blumhouse unintentionally made the ppl in that town so unlikable with the poor writing. Tommy Doyle by far was the biggest let down and the most unlikable character of the trilogy for me. Dude ran his mouth so much in Halloween Kills then when it came time to get down he wouldn’t even take the first swing then died like a bitch
You did a great job on this review. I hate this movie. It mad me yearn for the "cult of thorn" movies. They weren't even as bad as "Halloween: Michael Gets an Apprentice ".
Yup, each of the stories in this trilogy were...three separate films that were loosely connected. Used some of the same characters and town... But they were crazy and inconsistent outside Allyson and her dating...
In the next instalment/reboot, Michael will return when a morgue attendant is afflicted with the undeniable desire to eat his balls, thus becoming possessed by Samhain and continuing the cycle of violence. It will be called "Halloween: Ballz Owt".
Literally just put my copy of this movie in a box last night to donate, then this video goes up today. In true Michael Myers fashion, he always comes back.
Dude Corey was a geek lol being bullied by other geeks. They probably didn’t want to encourage the old school bullying stereotypes.. idk. Wasn’t a fan of Corey. Should have at least picked someone Michael’s size.
@@theshape3431it would make sense to use a small quiet guy like Corey hence the saying it's always the nice or quiet ones,I get you wanted MM as did we all but we gotta accept Micheal won't always be michael
Wait a minute. I distinctly remember Michael killing a kid in 2018. When he escaped from the bus. He steals a car belonging to some guy with his son. Hiding in the backseat, Michael snaps the kids neck and drives off.
I think it would have made more sense to reverse the tales of "Ends" (Michael regains his powers after all but dying through another slasher) and "Kills" (Michael vs all of Haddenfield) in this trilogy.
I just keep picturing Michael sticking his head out of the sewers and saying, "Can I come out now?" And being told, "No! We're still telling a story about this kid. Get back in the sewer! Don't make us break out the rune stones."
What was DGG thinking with this one. ""Hmmmm. People watch these movies for Michael Myers, but that's give them what they really want, a dorky bespectacled guy on a bicycle"...
You forgot the part where evil RISES up from getting ganged up and kills everybody who want it dead. Man can’t believe Michael Myers developed Popeye powers in that movie
Driving around like the neighborhood watch for a year, therapy, finding out MM was never after her, bulldozing his house down, trying to step up for her grand daughter, yet she still focused on him, writing about him, got clippings all over the wall about him, blamed by the whole town.. as soon as she senses something she back stalking so no Laurie is not ok
It was just such a baffling way to end a trilogy. -Focusing on a new guy that the audience had never met and had no reason to care about. I still think that Allyson (more on her shortly) should have been the main focus here. -Giving the characters who the audience does know very little to do and not really paying off the setups for them in any way. -Having seen the movie a few times, I HATE the way Allyson is written in the film. What she’s doing, what they have her say, reducing her to “love interest,” etc. NONE of it works for me. -Sort of just abandoning the plots and stories set up in the first two films to just go off on some random thing at the last minute. -Etc. Maybe this would have worked as it’s own standalone thing (with better writing imo), but it fails as the conclusion to an Ongoing story.
I think the way this could have went was maybe a mini series or a special that focused on new killings leaving more of an air of mystery about if Michael is back or not. The idea of Michael being a monster just completely naturally without any outside influence we know of as a contrast to Corey becoming one due to Haddonfield's paranoia against him is an interesting idea. Have Corey's story about slowly being warped into a monster by the town's collective hysteria without him ever interacting with Myers UNTIL the very end of it. Have Corey go through his own little story ending with him fleeing to the sewers injured only for a weakened Michael to kill him. As the life fades from Corey's eyes Myers goes from a hunched weaker silhouette to standing upright again as the infamous Shape before credits roll. Then an actual Halloween Ends movie could happen instead focusing on the characters primarily from the previous movies.
@@Luke101 That could easily have been what happened. A lot of original scripts, after a few changes, are thrown into a franchise. This happened a number of times in the Hellraiser series.
When Decker says he "never killed kids", what he means is that he never USED to. Yes those three or four children got slaughtered in the modern trilogy, but in the original film Michael never did anything to kids.
They should never changed the third movie to be set yrs later. The strength of the first two movies was how interconnected they were. A halloween movie that took place in the sewers for a sizeable chunk of time could've been great.
On the discussion of it Michael kills kids or not, he did try to kill Jamie in Halloween 4 & 5. And there were a set of tie-in comics showing Michael as a kid in the sanitarium, with Loomis slowly beginning to see how evil he truly is as he kills some of the other kids, and even kills Loomis’s fiancé.
BTW...where did Laurie get all of this money? Not just to buy this new house - no insurance from burning down her pervious house. How did she afford that previous house and compound...all those guns and security measures?
Great video as always mate. Tbf I had very little hope for this one after HKills was laughably bad imo 😆 Yet I was still shocked at how terrible this one was and how baffling the focus was on this random character I've never heard of before lol.
Thank you for acknowledging how ludicrous Laurie's character develops. 40 years of isolation because of one night. Then when he kills your daughter and the entire neighborhood, now its time to forget and be a grandmother. 😅😅
@@BabysitterSkyHalloween 1978, he literally got stabbed twice, once in the neck and eye and got back up and after six shots from loomis, good ol Mikey got back up and disappeared… yes they exaggerated the whole unstoppable force in Kills and many of the bad sequels but, realistically no one can get back up after all that, I think it’s best to turn on your suspension of disbelief my dude.
I love how perfectly they were setting up that Michael absorbs the souls of his victims and that is how he is able to heal from any injury. This would also explain why Michael had disappeared for so long. He was so weak that he couldn't really overpower anyone. If you want to stretch this further you could say that Michael didn't just possess Corey, he transfered part of his soul into him. Now everyone who is killed by Corey their soul is transferred into Michael, healing him faster. Then, when Michael kills Corey that is Michael taking back his soul. Instead, they went this route.......
except that setup doesn't make any sense. He literally kills a mob of people, and then Karen at the end of KILLS. by the logic that this movie is trying to set up, and KILLS hints at, Michael should have absorbed enough strength to survive a nuke.
@@reviewbomb85I never said it makes sense, I said that was what they were setting up. Keep in mind they killed Michael by slitting his throat. He’s survived much worse and come back stronger in the past. And I mean this series alone, let alone the other movies.
Easy way to continue this timeline IF that’s what they decide…Time jump another 20years, Laurie has passed (peacefully). We find out Allison had a son (she was pregnant as she was leaving Haddonfield) and she has to come back for the funeral. During her time back, the boy starts acting strange, angry, violent. The evil that was in Michael that he passed to Corey, is now in his son. Body count starts to rise, Allison has to make the tough decision to stop her son, and you can see where this goes.
They crushed Michael's elderly skull like an empty egg shell, in that giant crushing/shredding machine during the end of the film. So Halloween didn't end, but this version of Michael Myers clearly did.....unless he can reform his body back together from a pile of bloody mush? I'm a fan of this new trilogy, but the massive focus on the Corey character (that wasn't in any of the previous films) was a massive mistake, and lost opportunity for using the final film to actually answer some of the many questions and mysteries that has been set up in the previous films, hence a lot of people rightfully being disappointed with the final film.....no-one wanted Corey Cunningham as the lead character and main focus of the last film. But the one thing that this new trilogy definitely got right was the performance and visual design of Michael Myers, the Mask's and general vibe of the character was great throughout these three films, just a shame the storyline that went nowhere? 🎃
I agree. I actually quite enjoyed the trilogy, and Halloween Ends. It wasn't a bad film, but I feel like it would have served better by itself. Kind of like how Halloween 3 would have fared better separated from the Halloween franchise. After coming off of Halloween Kills I couldn't really complain about Michael not being in most of the film. I'd already seen a lot. I just feel like they lost the plot about halfway through this movie. The story that they were trying to tell, didn't really have a payoff. I can still enjoy it though. It just could have been done better.
heres what i say to anyone who hates 2018 and or Kills: we got to see Michael kill like 75 people in 1 night, the badass burned mask and the fireman massacre, he was even picking off 11 year olds! just act like this movie didnt happen like i do. i got the ending i wanted when Michael got back up and killed the mob and disappeared.
let me quote you because this is so important : " no-one wanted Corey Cunningham as the lead character and main focus of the last film". If I ever meet DGG I will politely shout it to him.
This trilogy is such a waste of potential and a truly baffling mess of concepts. The 2018 film was a really solid return to form. It was tense, Michael was spooky and intimidating, and the music kicked ass. It felt like classic Halloween. I wasn’t a huge fan of removing H2 from canon and making Laurie and Michael unrelated and making Laurie a hyper paranoid weirdo for 40 years. It felt like their confiict with each other was lessened, but it worked for the most part. Then Kills all of a sudden wanted to strip the trilogy of all of its suspense and subtlety and became a full on blood bath slasher with over the top gore and some of the dumbest characters I’ve ever seen in a horror film. It kept Laurie in a hospital the whole time making her practically usless, and also show-horned in that cringe mob mentality subplot. The movie also insinuated at the end that Michael is supernatural with him taking an absolute beating and multiple gunshots as a 61 year old man, and then getting back up like nothing happened. It says he gains power the more he kills?? Then all of a sudden we skip ahead in time in Ends, after Kills ended with a cliffhanger. A brand new main character Corey is introduced, who we have never met before, and it’s the final film of a trilogy 😑 Michael is a decrepit old hermit for some reason?? Didn’t he gain power?? And him and Laurie are sidelined until the very end for a forced lazy final fight, all the while the movie wants to beat you over the head with some deep message about evil evolving or some shit… it’s a Halloween movie!!! It’s not that deep! Just an absolute mess of a trilogy.
There were just so many cliches that we could all see in so many forms of media. How many have you seen angry mobs, dumb characters, lazy setups, love at first sight, & forgetting about the main antagonist? Love at first sight has always been one of my least favorites because I don't believe in that shit
I think this was a missed opportunity to make a cliffhanger ending where Allyson kills Michael and it hints that she's now inherited his evil or whatever. They set that up perfectly if you think about it. The way she's gripping the knife at the end of 2018. Her parents getting off'd, her friends, her boyfriend. The way the relationship between her and Laurie strains. Would of been perfect in my opinion. And they should of left it there, like no sequels.
I like this movie, the idea of Michael being a concept that people can abuse in order to commit atrocities is a very interesting concept. I think they did a good job with that and it's pretty neat...if you ignore the fact that this is the end of a trilogy and scream has been doing that much better for a lot longer. Not a bad watch, but not a halloween movie really.
The worst part is - moment which is supposed to be darkest and most tragic - accidental kid death - filmed like it has taken from some really lame dark comedy. That's how you now it's Joseph Gordon Green's work.
Just saw this movie and it was even more underwhelming than people led me to believe. I was laughing at this movie. Laughing! I’ve never done that at a Halloween movie!

I think that wasn't Michael in the metal grinder, I think it was a medic with a crushed windpipe. No that was five films ago or was that the Rob Zombie movies. My God what is going on in this franchise!
Your video has been great! My comment is specifically regarding the part near the end where Corey forgot to meet Allison in the café. I especially had to comment to applaud you for the line about Corey needing to tie a string of sinew around his finger!!! I know most people haven't even a clue what sinew is thus it went right over their heads, so the fact that you used it was just so perfect And I died laughing!!! Thank you!! Respect!
I like your format! Keep it up! Small critique: 2:50, Michael has killed a kid - the one who was at the prison bus breakout with his dad in the SUV. He strangled him. Even chronologically, that had already happened as it is stated that Jeremy's death happened in 2019, after Michael returned. You funnily remind me of Weird Al.. big time!
I don’t know why they deviate from the formula of having Michael as center stage. It never makes sense. Ugh, this was so disappointing. And I was so excited for this trilogy after 2018 :(
I feel like this Halloween trilogy and the Star Wars sequel trilogy have the same spiritual vibes. Both trilogies with so much potential that could have been and they have this weird muddled message that switches movie to movie and just makes them all kinda... meh.
And it was such an easy slam dunk concept from the jump. Bring back these iconic characters and continue their journey from where we last saw them. Don’t make them unrecognizable shells of their former selves. Don’t introduce random new main characters that the audience doesn’t care about, and don’t make OBVIOUS bad choices just to “do something different” The fact that Luke Han and Leia never share a scene together in the sequels is fucking criminal
...so, I've seen multiple reviews for this. Multiple times. And its taken me this long to notice that this pretty much just the second Nightmare On Elm Street.
If they had actually planned this trilogy and Corey was apart of things from the beginning and they built up to all of this it would have been better recieved, i think. It would still have sucked to not have Michael as much, but at least we wouldnt spend the entire movie with a random person that didnt exist before. It cheapened everything and was just uninteresting overall. It could have been goos, if it was actually thought out. But you could say that about this entire trilogy.
There's no need to lie to us about Willie's death. He actually got his jaw unhinged, then his tongue cut off and it making the record skip. We know UA-cam's guidelines no longer allow graphic violence to be shown, but that's no reason to flat-out lie.
I hate to say this but I was more entertained watching Halloween Resurrection then I was watching this movie. At least I understood character motivations in Resurrection. In "End," they are all over the place.
It annoys me how they portray Allison not getting the promotion as a bad thing the nurse is clearly 10 to 15 years older than Allison who is a community college student who would I give the promotion to the community college student or the woman who sit in her career
Over 1 year later and I thought this was terrible I’m baffled David Gordon Green thought this was a good idea They are talking about a tv series now so maybe that can rectify a few things When I saw this last Halloween 2022 at my theater I thought it was a mixed bag; a lot of stuff they could've left in the cutting room floor and Michael Myers is severely absent in this This script's focus isn't in the right place Very polarizing for a lot of fans I agree But I love Jamie Lee Curtis giving it her all saying goodbye to this character of Laurie Strode and there's some very good acting from Andi Matichak They tackle commentary of in-cells, guilt, trauma, and paranoia creeping in infecting a community like a plague I had some of the same issues with Jurassic World: Dominion with the director not having his priorities in tact The final 10 min is the stuff I wanted to see, it just didn't gel with the majority of what's presented before Not the big curtain call I was hoping for but if they make a newer version in the future maybe they'll rectify a few of these writing issues My favorite installments after 13 movies are still the original, H2O, and the 2018 film
I had no idea that the most important thing in a slasher movie is not an iconic kiler, creative kills or even victim characters that are either laughably dumb or that you love to hate but the most important thing in a slasher movie is pretending it's made for a smarter audience by blurring (very slightly) the line between good and evil. I'm sure people that enjoy slasher movies want to be confused and scratch their head around a philosophical message that is all but subtle. Anyway thanks for a wonderful and humorous review !
If they planned this out as a trilogy, they could have had Corey start his arc in the first film and end it here. His entire story line should have been over the first two films in the back round, and it would have worked. Shoehorning him in and sidelining Michael to do the entire arc in the finale of the trilogy is just such a stupid decision. The backlast Halloween got for sidelining Lorie for almost the entire film, should have told them how stupid it was... i mean who looks at that backlash, and then thinks it's a good idea to sideline Michael for the finale for almost the entire thing??? I liked the first film, thought Kills was okay, but Ends is just terrible, and there isn't much good stuff to say about it. It makes you wonder what goes through the writer and directors minds sometimes.
I honestly hope they don't reboot this franchise again. I just don't see them doing another movie without bringing back that unnecessary sibling angle, which just doesn't work with out Jamie Lee Curtis.
I thought this was better than Halloween kills which I thought was an abomination. And I do like that they tone down the awful exposition dialogue that was very annoying in the last two movies. I also like that it tries something new and different instead of the same tired formula of the other Michael Myers movies. People were angry that it's not about Laurie and Michael fighting but I'm okay with that because we've had quite enough Laurie and Michael battles in the franchise and honestly these movies made me pretty tired of Laurie Strode. But there's no denying this movie makes no sense. Laurie suddenly moving on in 4 years after those 40 years and the town blaming Laurie. This new trilogy is pretty void of logic.
Laurie choosing to leave all that shit in the past after suffering even more trauma is the most unrealistic part of the whole movie honestly lol. Remember how Dr Loomis in each movie gets progressively more unhinged due to the shit he had to go through in the pursuit of stopping Michael? Yeah that was a lot more interesting to watch.
Jeremy Allen was horribly mistaken; Michael Myers WILL kill a kid given the circumstances that motivates him to do so. The 2018 film, he snapped the neck of the dancing middle-schooler and in Halloween Kills he beheaded (off screen) one of the punk kids who were playing in the park. Pre-Teen or Teen, they're still kids, Jermey would be singing a different tune if The Shape were to stand before him. Instead, he got a very harsh lesson in Karma.
@abegarfield7031 As I see it, 17 is still a minor, making them a kid. 18 is a probationary adult, but not old enough to legally drink; still a kid to me. 21 is officially a full-on adult.

The writing and acting was actually way better in this movie than Halloween Kills. But it didn’t fit the trilogy. Shoulda just kept the trilogy all on the same night. Blumhouse (although swore not to in the beginning) fell into the same trap everyone else did with Halloween sequels. They tried to do too much. They tried to explain everything and tie loose ends together. Ppl always forget what made the original scary. You don’t need to explain shit.
One of Michael Myers, very first victims in Halloween 2018 was a kid. The kid who stopped by the bus crash site with his dad and shot doctor Sartain. Michael killed him dead.
It’s rare that a movie struggles THIS hard to force some kind of “deep message” that just isn’t there. This movie misses so many marks.
Ll Cool J or Busta Rhymes should have been in it.
Not even that, but the fact it contradicts almost everything the prior two movies established is just hysterically bad.
For me I liked this one for being different didn't love it but I appreciate that it tried something different I found Kills decent for the hack and slash but wasn't a huge fan so I was more open to something new with this one. Yup, each of the stories in this trilogy were...three separate films that were loosely connected. Used some of the same characters and town... But they were crazy and inconsistent outside Allyson and her dating...
Corey in the house
Well to be fair the little kid was a snot nosed jerk but he shouldn't have locked corey up.

In the next instalment/reboot, Michael will return when a morgue attendant is afflicted with the undeniable desire to eat his balls, thus becoming possessed by Samhain and continuing the cycle of violence. It will be called

He definitely takes out kids. The three kids in Halloween kills and the dancing school kid in 2018. Those are the ones at the top of my head.
He only killed one of those kids in Kills.
I mean, his victims in the original film were literally high school kids, too. It's been a day 1 thing.
In 2018, the actor was about 14-15 so he was a teen there.

I think it would have made more sense to reverse the tales of "Ends" (Michael regains his powers after all but dying through another slasher) and "Kills" (Michael vs all of Haddenfield) in this trilogy.
This version of Ends didn't even exist when they made Kills, but yeah that would have been much better
I just keep picturing Michael sticking his head out of the sewers and saying, "Can I come out now?"
And being told, "No! We're still telling a story about this kid. Get back in the sewer! Don't make us break out the rune stones."
“Aww, man…can I at least have a Zagnut? Or maybe a Butterfinger? I don’t care if it’s fun-size.”
What was DGG thinking with this one. ""Hmmmm. People watch these movies for Michael Myers, but that's give them what they really want, a dorky bespectacled guy on a bicycle"...
Idk why but i laughed really hard at the "i did my part to end homelessnes" joke! 😂
I’m going ahead and say it. What a TREAT to have a new Halloween movie review by Decker. Cheers
But i thought "evil died" last halloween 😅
You forgot the part where evil RISES up from getting ganged up and kills everybody who want it dead.
Man can’t believe Michael Myers developed Popeye powers in that movie
I definitely remember Michael permanently cutting out some kids light in Halloween 2018
Denying that much trauma should have made Laurie a ticking time bomb.
It feels completely like a spin off. Not at all the third entry of this franchise. Truly a bizarre film and such a bad direction to go in
@@Luke101kills was a sign of things to come
@@shawklan27 at least kills FELT like a Halloween movie at times, it was bad but not as bad as this movie
@@Luke101
That could easily have been what happened.

This happened a number of times in the Hellraiser series.

Keep fighting the good fight Decker!! 🤘🤘 Nice work!
Here to say… I love Decker. This man I will follow to the end of all movies, gimme more…
Need to know Mr. Shado’s curl treatment… I dream about those curls~ ❤
Actually Decker, Michael DID kill a kid in Halloween 2018
On the discussion of it Michael kills kids or not, he did try to kill Jamie in Halloween 4 & 5.
And there were a set of tie-in comics showing Michael as a kid in the sanitarium, with Loomis slowly beginning to see how evil he truly is as he kills some of the other kids, and even kills Loomis’s fiancé.
I remember when the first of this trilogy came out and everyone was excited. Now look where we are lol
Yeah this is DEFINITELY not how trauma works.
Wait didn't Michael kill the kid in H3 skull mask in Halloween kills so technically he has?
Michael Myers being presented as a little bitch was definitely a choice in that movie
Is that a problem?
They made it realistic and you people love gritty realism.
@@BabysitterSky Yes it is. Considering the last two movies just established him as this juggernaut of evil, it makes no sense.
@@NoxMonstrum Yeah man....a dude who's almost 70 and he just almost died fighting a mob.....makes no sense at all......
I like Michael's sewer hideout. Where's his bed, TV, toilet, couch and solar panels?
Myers kills a kid in the 2018 Halloween when escaping the bus.
Body count starts to rise, Allison has to make the tough decision to stop her son, and you can see where this goes.
no michael no halloween, no one watches these movies for corey or another looser like him

@@NoxMonstrum Well...Michael was turned into a goddamn Pokemon in this movie, so how much worse is this idea compared to that lol
Exactly👍
🤚 I did. I like the concept of an old, decrepit Michael. The movie sucks though.
heres what i say to anyone who hates 2018 and or Kills: we got to see Michael kill like 75 people in 1 night, the badass burned mask and the fireman massacre, he was even picking off 11 year olds! just act like this movie didnt happen like i do. i got the ending i wanted when Michael got back up and killed the mob and disappeared.
let me quote you because this is so important : " no-one wanted Corey Cunningham as the lead character and main focus of the last film".
Watch give it a couple years and there will be Halloween Returns, Halloween the Cult of Michael Myers, a reboot of the reboot called The Shape
Michael Myers is my favorite spy is a context where it's not really intimidating.
So you haven't seen many Halloween movies?

This film would make way more sense if Kills didn’t exist and Laurie assumed Micheal died in the fire
I think that wasn't Michael in the metal grinder, I think it was a medic with a crushed windpipe. No that was five films ago or was that the Rob Zombie movies. My God what is going on in this franchise!
That might have been a Friday the 13th but hey, who’s counting?
Cool to see Michael join with Corey for a tag team ladder match
IT was like that time Macho man and Hulk Hogan teamed up.
Halloween may have ended, but Decker’s hair is endless
No it doesn't, give it 10 years and they'll re-re-re-reboot Halloween trilogy.
Keep it up!
Small critique:
2:50, Michael has killed a kid - the one who was at the prison bus breakout with his dad in the SUV.
And I was so excited for this trilogy after 2018 :(
Halloween Ends.

Hello Mr Shado! What a pleasure watching your reviews are!!! Thank you so much! Binging you tonight! You look great.
Halloween franchise has more time lines than the Terminator . It doesn't even have time travel.
My biggest question about this movie is why did they stay in Haddenfield? Imagine if Laurie had just left that town. But, movie's gotta movie.
Same thing as why tf they kept trying to reopen Crystal Lake. 🤣
Don’t introduce random new main characters that the audience doesn’t care about, and don’t make OBVIOUS bad choices just to “do something different”
The fact that Luke Han and Leia never share a scene together in the sequels is fucking criminal
@@Luke101 Both J.J. Abrams and Ryan Johnson looked deeply in the eyes of DGG and they found something.
...so, I've seen multiple reviews for this. Multiple times. And its taken me this long to notice that this pretty much just the second Nightmare On Elm Street.
Mixed with Christine (A far better movie) they even stole a character’s name. Arnie Cunningham-Cory Cunningham
“What did you do to him.”
Allyson, the freaking Michael mask is right next to him. They write her as such a stupid, naive brat in th is film.
In Halloween Kills, the children on the playground were clearly murdered by Michael
Happy november Halloween Decker 🎃
My genuine hope is this is truly the end and we can finally close the book on michael myers and move onto something new.
I agree but probably not gonna happen
There's no need to lie to us about Willie's death. He actually got his jaw unhinged, then his tongue cut off and it making the record skip. We know UA-cam's guidelines no longer allow graphic violence to be shown, but that's no reason to flat-out lie.
Great video as always Decker. Keep up the good work man!

21:08 Calm down Lex Luthor. Just because someone does / doesn't have glasses doesn't cause them to switch between Superman and Clark Kent.
I hate to say this but I was more entertained watching Halloween Resurrection then I was watching this movie. At least I understood character motivations in Resurrection. In "End," they are all over the place.
They should’ve just went full supernatural & made it so Michael’s spirit passed into Corey’s. New body new spree, new movies.
It annoys me how they portray Allison not getting the promotion as a bad thing the nurse is clearly 10 to 15 years older than Allison who is a community college student who would I give the promotion to the community college student or the woman who sit in her career
Over 1 year later and I thought this was terrible
I’m baffled David Gordon Green thought this was a good idea
They are talking about a tv series now so maybe that can rectify a few things
When I saw this last Halloween 2022 at my theater I thought it was a mixed bag; a lot of stuff they could've left in the cutting room floor and Michael Myers is severely absent in this
This script's focus isn't in the right place
Very polarizing for a lot of fans I agree
But I love Jamie Lee Curtis giving it her all saying goodbye to this character of Laurie Strode and there's some very good acting from Andi Matichak
They tackle commentary of in-cells, guilt, trauma, and paranoia creeping in infecting a community like a plague
I had some of the same issues with Jurassic World: Dominion with the director not having his priorities in tact
The final 10 min is the stuff I wanted to see, it just didn't gel with the majority of what's presented before
Not the big curtain call I was hoping for but if they make a newer version in the future maybe they'll rectify a few of these writing issues
My favorite installments after 13 movies are still the original, H2O, and the 2018 film
Decker, Michael killed one kid in both Halloween 2018 and Halloween Kills for a total of two children killed on Halloween night of 2018.
Me, watching Wes Craven’s New Nightmare: “. . . I mean, sometimes I do like my slashers to be intellectually smart and not predictable”
the eyes is because Michael transferred part of the litter essence of pure evil into Corey sensing that he was getting to old and close to death
Honestly, the kid falling to death had me hopeful. I could watch that all day. Unfortunately that was pretty much the only good part of the movie.
I was waiting for this one.
Michael did kill that kid in Halloween 2018. But as always, I really enjoyed your review. Thanks for the video.
I love your movie recaps Decker, u got a good delivery 😊
I still think "Halloween Kills Again in Space" wouldve been a better Movie
I can't leave town, I'm working! Ive decided to leave this town to libe in another but commute back here everyday for work...
21:55 This is a good idea for a movie. Seriously ... this could be a takedown of the entire boy band craze.
He killed his 17 year old sister.
I know a lot of perverts think 17 isn't a child
but no one is giving them the babysitting jobs that they crave.
@abegarfield7031 As I see it, 17 is still a minor, making them a kid. 18 is a probationary adult, but not old enough to legally drink; still a kid to me. 21 is officially a full-on adult.

Where I live 16 is the legal age
of consent
but it's still wrong.
18 to drink too.
It's nuts,
people are comfortable swearing their heads off and talking about sex
in front of little kids.
Wait didn't he kill a kid that had the rifle in the truck in the first reboot?
Dear GOD did this movie fucking DRAG ON FOREVER, and totally lost all momentum
One of Michael Myers, very first victims in Halloween 2018 was a kid. The kid who stopped by the bus crash site with his dad and shot doctor Sartain. Michael killed him dead.
Maybe this could have worked as a mini series?
Not enough space to write everything wrong with this movie. its like the people behind this movie never saw the last 2 but they made the last 2
