- You've heard of Oakmont Country Club - but you probably haven't heard of Fox Chapel Golf Club. Fox Chapel is only a few miles from Oakmont and stacks up to the famous U.S. Open venue in all the right ways. Seth Raynor, the historic golf course architect, designed Fox Chapel and included a few of his famous template holes - including a 50-yard long Biarritz green.
Erik and Colt meet up with their host Jesse and are lucky enough to (basically) have the course to themselves - save for a curious beginner golfer named Jolie who plays through, but not before Erik gets to chat about the only two courses she has ever played ;)

Played FCGC dozens of times growing up without knowing anything about Raynor. 12-15 year old me had no idea what a gem it was and now I try to play every time I'm back in Pittsburgh. Glad you enjoyed it Erik

In most of the videos I watch on UA-cam I find myself skipping ahead to relevant parts. But with this channel my favorite part is the scenic shots between the talking so I have never skipped ahead on one of your videos Erik. Thanks for keeping my ADD in check lol

🦊 ⛪️ is such a good course…wish you would have showed more of the course though, including the Nader 6th. Jolie was great. Hole 17 was inspired by a hole in France even though 16 green at North Berwick has a similar look. Great stuff!

Lived in fox chapel my entire life. Drove by that course everyday. Never been allowed on it and they only have 145 of the members that even play golf. That’s sickening

Yo dude love the videos. If you ever find yourself in Ohio I'd love to take you to the OSU Golf Club. Its a top course in the State designed by Alister MacKenzie and redesigned by Jack Nicklaus. Its an absolute beast. The Web.com plays one of their 4 major tournaments there. Just something to think about. Keep pumping out these vids.

The real Oakmont on the Turnpike will treat you like the Brits did to William Wallace if they catch you on the course alone. Even if management approved play as my playing partner died the month before. They harassed me the entire 18 holes and then physically threw me off the course when I completed play. And I'm not even black. They are racist and evil and I hope the Governor of Pennsylvania one day decides to enlarge the turnpike so we could say goodbye to Oakmont.
Funny enough I've played this course in a computer game (TGC2 and 2019). Based on the game alone, adored the design. Great seeing you feature it, Erik!
