Matt Ginella hosts Erik Anders Lang and the crew at his home track: Winter Park Golf Course, a 100-year-old 9-hole course in Orlando, Florida. More than just a municipal golf course, WP9 acts as a social meeting point for the local golf community.

Officially a Matt Ginella fan now.
Probably one of the most underrated shows on UA-cam
I think a lot of these episodes give me goosebumps, but this one was next level. I love the way Matt romanticizes about this great game/hobby/past time...and can totally relate to the emotional evolution one might experience when it comes to missing shots. Great execution on this one, Erik!
This is my home course as well and listening to Matt talk about it made me fall in love with the place even more. I have a son of my own now and all we need is a stroller, a 5i, a wedge, and a putter to have an incredible day at the WP9.
these are just so beautiful that whenever i start watching i cant stop. i've never even played golf but it already dispise the day that i'll be through all the vids
I love the honesty and genuine nature of this piece. Incredible resorts are great, but this is "real" golf...not some forced version that only appeals to people that can't see anything that is not ultimately upscale. Oh, and Matt - definitely a "HOLE IN ONE" with no asterisk.
Watching the footage with snowball in it just brings a smile to my face! Really nice to see how close he stays to you.
Such a joy to watch. From watching Ginella on TV talking about architecture and other things, you could always tell that he is a proper sound lad. Cheers, Erik. 👍
Love this course. It's one of my favorite courses. My brother and I try to play this course when I come down from Indiana to visit.
Loved Matt’s segment about the 25 mile rail segment on the west coast of UK during the Open coverage where there are 18 golf courses along the line that you can stop off and literally walk to the club houses. Amazing.
Grew up and learned how to play on this track. It's hard to describe to friends who haven't played it yet why it is so special, it just oozes with charm.
One of my favourite videos of my favourite RGC clips. What a guy, Matt Ginella!!
Awesome episode, started watching your content about a month ago and this was my favorite so far--thanks!
Sick edit and just such quality content! Also one of my favorite pods as well!! Just keep killing it mate yewww
Holy shot it’s true. Snowball is absolutely the most famous dog in golf. Very well travelled indeed.
I love this course and your show. Sunrise and sunset on WP9 are beautiful times.
What great guy Matt is. Great attitude to golf.
I'm heading down to Orlando later this month for work and I immediately googled how far it was from my hotel. Then I saw WP9 hosts night golf on Tuesday nights, so I'm definitely going to try and get in on that. This is awesome!
Erik: awesome job. Best vid to date. Matt Ginella might be the most chill guy ever.
Great video. Who ever edited this video did an amazing job. Your channel keeps getting better and better!
Moved from Winter Park a few years back, should've got one more round in before I left. Good times!
Matt’s ethos and approach to golf is what every course should strive to embody. Another home run episode, Eric! 🤜
Hi Erik. I was in FL last week and made it a point to visit Winter Park and play WP|9 after watching this vlog. What a great little course! I’m not a long hitter, so it was fun to have several driveable par 4s and reachable par 5s. The greens were fairly quick and very swingy. Lots of risk/reward opportunities to test better players and plenty of room for everyone. Thanks for bringing this gem to light.
2 of the coolest dudes in golf in one video. Dont get much better
Another great public track with party 'clubs' and dogs on the course (with collection bowls on the bottom of water fountains for them) is Albert Park in Melbourne, VIC... next time in Oz, take Snowball there, they'll love him and you for coming by and it's a fun easy walk.
Great stuff as always, my guy.
Love mixing in the podcast to the round. Awesome way to do it.
I’ve been waiting for this one for a loooong time.
Play Winter Park All the time. Love that track and always gives me the creeps a little walking by the graveyard lol!! Wish I would have known I would have joined ya I live in Orlando
Every video of yours makes me want to go out and play.
I play that course about once a month, and though it's not challenging, it's an enjoyable little course close to the city. I love it
So weird ive been watching you for a little while now, like your stories, your content and then bam you go the course i literally grew up by. this is lol. thats awesome man, hope you enjoyed wp
Love walking the WP9 ... Hit the best 5wood of my life on #4
I found my love for the game of golf (again, after years of taking it way too seriously) not far from this place on a course called Winter Pines Golf Club about 5 miles east of Winter Park GC. Great memories from that area while I was a student at Full Sail University. Playing golf every day and attending film school. Loved playing at WP once I discovered it!
i used to goto pines in hs!
Great piece man. I caught a segment on golf channel about it and have a friend that lives in the area so I checked it out. I love that course. I shot my best score ever recorded there. Matt brings it home because of his passion for it. I enjoyed this thoroughly.
Amelia Plantation Ocean Course was sweet. Glad I got to play it!
Some sweet "Off Camera with Sam Jones" vibes in the sit down interview section. Thanks for properly repping our best local course EAL. Playing WP9 tomorrow with my brother. Would gladly play it every day of my life.
What an awesome guy Matt is - nice!
This game is awesome.
Whoever edits ...These are always edited like a skate or snowboard video great job
Reminds of Tony Hawk video game except with golf, weird.
Thomas Reiten - instagram.com/reiten/
I listened to the podcast earlier that Erik did with Reiten recently. Really interesting stuff!
It’s almost as if Matt and Erik are brothers from another mother. Yet another fantastic video!
This.Was.Awesome.
The two coolest guys in golf, hands down, not even close.
I love the end as he talks about how much he loves golf and how it will extended into the relationship with his son. I will have to go out to a Friday skins match as it is literally 6 minutes from me right now as I sit in my office
You rock, Erik.
Love your vids Erik! And we have the same middle name, so next time you’re anywhere near the Tampa area I’d love to buy you a round 👏
Local to the WP9 ... they introduced night golf there recently and I just played it this past Tuesday. You should come back and play night golf. If you need a local partner to play with, I’m game. Cheers.
great vlog like always :)
Snowball needs a brother, Eightball. 😁
It is good to find out that Matt Ginella is a generally cool ordinary guy that loves golf!
“Mountain Shadows” golf hat??? Old school, new vibe... dig it! Where?
Short interview segments overlaid with b-roll. Very good. Very very good.
ayyy shoutout Orlando
After watching this I want to go out and play.
Huge dog lover here. Do you ever worry that Snowball is going to get hit by a club or ball? My dogs like to get in the way when I chip around the yard. They also run a pick up the ball like fetch.
Cole - Same here.. 1 round of Golf, ACE... i can top that though.. After court date to get divorced, got back home, had a few beers and for SOME reason i landed on the Golf Channel, if somebody would've told me that i'd EVER watch Golf on TV i would've declared them insane. Anyway, after sleeping it off i went to Academy, bought me a boxed X-something set for less than 80 bucks, went to the nearest Range, hit balls.. bought a Wilson Steelhead 5 Wood for $7 there. Next day i called my brother in law who knew how to Golf and asked him if he could show me how to play on a real course :-). Got to hole 15, 185yards, take out my newly acquired 5wood, started cussing because i thought it went over the green because it was into the sun.. in the cup.. we are still friends :-)
My home course was 9 holes until they shut her down. I'm thinking of joining a club that's a 20 min walk from my house, it's an upscale par 3 course with 2 par 4s and a par 5 and its only $1000 per season with range access.
Apologies for not really knowing who Matt Ginella is, (my only excuse is that I'm English) but I love his ethos and attitude to Golf. In that, it should appeal and be available to everyone who seeks to play this game of Golf and that includes their dogs!!!!!!!!! And maybe their kids as long as they are on leads! (and that is a joke by the way)
Matt's hat - where did he get it? My Dad sported one - same style in the 70's - I want one.
Train ride from NY to Orlando is nearly 22 hours long. Not sure how people took weekend trips from the northeast to WP
Is it spring yet?
i would love to see a wider discussion on dogs at the course. maybe a permit or something. combining walking a round with your fur buddy is as good as it gets
Matty G has a good swing.
Matt's cool
how do you tie snowball down to the bag with a leash??
@par5ordie on insta
My buddy can beat his hole in one story. We all went out to play a 9 hole in Pomona. Buddy walks up to first tee box tops it rolls straight into the hole. We had never swung a club before that.
turn the music up, get another beer and move on pretty much sums up my golf game.
I think it’s time snowball had his own UA-cam channel.
I can appreciate why you do it, but your video are so beautiful and well produced that it's jarring to have ads in the middle.
Uuuuuuuu.....dig.
Do you just follow NLU?
Its not the dogs that are an issue at golf courses. its the dog owners that don't pick up the shit.
w.p.g.c
look man I'm a green keeper dude in the UK .... and I'm not a dog owner and have nothing against dogs at all ... take my bros Lil dog all over Denver course wen I'm over there ... but look dude I don't wanna or hav ta get dog shit outta are bins man uno It's not nice ... so maybe that's y Alot ov places don't man uno ... gotta put the shoe on the other foot at times n think properly about things man 👍⛳💩👎
