Just made these but used milk instead of water and added a bit of salt to the water too. These are DELICIOUS!!!

Making this right now! The recipe was so easy to follow along, hope to have some fresh baked bagels by the end of today!

Made it! It smelled good when boiling in the honey water. The dough is on the salty side with 2 teaspoons of salt, so I would definitely possibly half it next time. It is chewy like a bagel and fun to make. It'd be interesting to make different kinds of bagels next time I try it.

Gonna try this ❤ after you add the yeast, do you stir it or just let it sit? And what is the difference between bread flour and regular old flour ? Thank you 😊

Great recipe! If I want to double the amount of bagels, can I just double the recipe OR do I need to make separate batches?

You can use brown sugar instead of the honey and you can omit the egg wash ❤️ if you do want to do toppings you can just lightly mist with water to get the topping to stick but they should be moist enough from the water bath

They also have Barley malt syrup or Brown rice syrup that you can add to the water👍🏼

Can you handle honey? It is usually used on bread making as well, it usually doesn’t change the taste, just 1 teaspoon

I used your receipt and 4 cups of bread flour did not work. It took 6 cups to get the consistency you had.

It depends on how much moisture your flour has. That is why some recipes call for a scale to weigh out the ingredients.
If you knead smaller amounts at a time and siftt before measuring. That fluffs up the flour after it has traveled to you and settled.
