    You and your husband are awesome ! I love how you jump in and explain but you don’t drag the video out. I have watched videos that drag on and on and sometimes I don’t even finish them ! Love you and your family!

    If you wanted it to look like it was rotting in a barn after several terrible paint jobs, you achieved it 100%. Having said that, I am sure some will love it, as I have loved the majority of your projects.

    i can't believe how incredibly rude ppl are! i love this video i think she was very brave to step out of her comfort zone and do something different..ppl she has a channel for a reason to help teach ppl DIFFERENT techniques, is she suppose to paint everything white? if u cant say something nice keep it to urself... they are just normal folks trying to support a large family by doing what they love and i commend them for that. Its easy to sit on this side of the video and be rude but it takes guts to put your work out there for the world to see! Jami i loved it! You go girl!

      I am new here and i am so glad i found you guys. I want to do this but i have never done it before. Your furniture that you paint is amazing. I have not read the other comments but I trust that they have been rude. You siad it very well Brittany Weisz, good for you! You are very right. You said it all. Unfortunately there is always rude people and they are usually to stupid to understand.

    Jamie, congratulations‼️ I truly loved it, the colors are beautiful. Some time ago I used to give away wooden tables, chairs, etc. What I do now is give my old furniture another look as wood is so expensive. So going through UA-cam for ideas I ran across boho, chippy paint cause want to paint a wooden furniture with shelters I have in my walk in closet so I’ll think about the colors and give it a try.
    I’m from Guatemala and live close to a colonial town called Antigua where there are excellent carpenters who design & manufacture wooden dressers, wardrobes, chairs & doors in chippy, boho or vintage style (expensive too) and many nice hotels are decorated with that exquisite style. Too bad I don’t think I can find that DIY paint in my country but I’ve invented how to paint my kitchen cabinets, pantry table/chairs and other small wooden products at home with latex paint and have turned out really nice.
    I sure understand the hard work and effort you do with the wooden pieces, I’ve hand sanded (not with an electric sander) and I was regretting it when I first started with the chairs & table in the pantry but once I began had to finish them as there was no step back. 🤨🤨🤨
    When I read some comments just couldn’t believe it. What’s wrong with the human race? Uneducated, rude & mean, where did values and principles go? I taught my son (now 22) think before speaking, don’t ever hurt peoples feelings, respect your teachers, friends, girls, Ladies, seniors, etc. if there’s gossiping keep your mouth shut!
    You’re doing it for a great cause and that’s what matters, your work is absolutely lovely, nice for you to share your gift, at the end there’s your masterpiece ‼️. Blessings
    “Kindness is a language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see. Mark Twain”
    “Be kind to unkind people - they need it the most. Unknown”

      Love all of this! Thank you for your kind words. The furniture you paint sounds beautiful. I love painting Boho style pieces. It’s very artistic and lets me work on my creativity. The look isn’t for everyone, some people have strong feeling about it lol. Have a great day!

    • @Lilian2391
      @Lilian2391 6 років тому

      Jami Ray Vintage totally agree with you, it’s not for everyone. It’s in style now & decorated with modern pieces and houses look so beautiful, too bad there’s not an option on UA-cam to send pics of furniture or hotels in Antigua, Guatemala for everyone to check them out and see how modern these masterpieces you decorate are in” truly beautiful‼️ keep up the art you are gifted and thanks a lot for sharing.. you know I had never heard of this boho style☹️🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔?

    My first thoughts on this armoire were: Colors blended in such a way that showcases a silent, visual metaphor of a fully matured woman that is in control of her life, she knows she's a woman, she knows that no one could make her doubt the choices she has made, she feels sexy in her skin and knows that it's impossible to see beauty without having plenty of ugly to compare it to and if she could...she would live in an Alice in Wonderland(the original) kinda realm but her character would be giving the very good advice! I love love LOVE this piece, it's a bit creepy and whole lot of bold blended in with unique ,sexy ,womanly charm!

    Very unique, great use of color...it lends itself to a fairytale theme ...magical ...whimsical....animation come to life. The piece could have been beautiful on its own , but you gave it a signature transformation with this painting technique. It is obvious that this style is of particular taste, however the technique is well executed and the operator is talented. Personal taste and the look you are trying to achieve is always important when transforming a wood piece. painting wood is always controversial. I would use this type of technique on an unrepairable veneer or a salvage piece. Great for hiding imperfections!👌😀

    Thank you for explaining sealing the piece. I didn't know if I needed to seal before or after dark wax. Sense you said it can be done either way but the sealing before keeps it from changing the colors too much, I think I know what I need to do on my next piece. That was great. See just that little bit of information I looked at others for didn't say and I had a feeling after watching other videos that you'd cover it.
