It's true..! I'm a million miles away in South Africa and watching these girls have become my inspiration and actually a bit of and addiction... but hey, it's a healthy one right? I am só craving laying my hands on DIY paint it's unreal, I am battling a bit (to say the least!) with normal chalk paint now... I want this clay based, like Debi says.."It's good..." Jaw droppingly beautiful results! It watched intently through the entire process along with the struggles and the key takeaway for me (with my own issues) is for me to try it out, enjoy the process and not get all perfectionistic. Yes, of COURSE Dionne is amazing, and of COURSE we ALL want to be able to create the amazing finishes that she has pioneered....
BUT - what moves me the most, and what actually brought tears to my eyes?
*The creative and constructive way that you both handled a really challenging situation with the TV Network.*
Frankly, the "gimmicky / humiliation button pushing" concept they were pushing is YUCK. I am SO relieved that neither of you decided to play along, but rather, you allowed your combined creativity to dictate a BRILLIANT response.
I used to always support your efforts to gain access to the Networks, but you know what? I don't even watch network TV, and I'm willing to bet that many of your fans don't either. We like the freedom to select when and where and WHO we watch, and UA-cam, Facebook, Instagram, etc, are our venues for selecting content that matters to us.
Yes, THIS is a show. One without interference from those who don't know what the HECK they are talking about, produced by passionate Creatives that are loved deeply by their fans.

I have been a builder for about the last 40 years. I have watched way too many furniture finishing videos but this singular video, that I have watched 6 or 8 times, led me to purchase 6 pieces in the last two days so I need to get busy practicing because it is time to gut my kitchen and build new "mature" cabinets. Debi thank you so much for your candid honesty about “failing” at painting like someone else. We should all remember that we each have our own unique style and should love that about each other. I absolutely love this piece A++ in my opinion. I’m going to have to follow Deonne now too! On a side note I’m going to drive almost 2 hours to the closest store today to finally buy some DIY paint! It’s going to be an adventure.
