I had been wondering why no one was addressing the topic of pieces that didn't sell. It is NEVER a loss when you get to create something, once, twice or a million times, each time is a new creation! Thanks!
I love how you make old look like new and improved. Wish everyone could see the value in older furniture because older furniture is made with real wood and better overall construction.
I know it’s subjective, but I love the second look so much better. However, it must be frustrating to repaint something in order for it to sell. Your talent knows no limits!
I have to constantly remind myself that when it comes to selling items, it's not about what I like. It's about what is popular and what sells. For example, I'm not a fan of the whole Pottery Barn paint wash look, but it sells really well, so I will paint wash pieces that I know are perfect candidates for that look. The funny thing is that the look has grown on me over time. I still wouldn't choose it for my home, but I have found myself appreciating, dare I say admiring, some of the finished pieces. As much as we have to remember that it's not about what we like, most of us do have a passion for the work we are doing, and being able to embrace our creative side is part of what brings us joy and keeps us passionate about the work are doing. Because of this, I will sometimes choose to use bold or unusual colors and/or unusual designs that I personally love, knowing that it will likely take longer to sell. I do agree that after about 6 months of not selling, it's time to pull the plug and try something new. I would rather restyle a piece than drastically reduce the price. Our time is worth money, and the pieces we sell are superior in quality to anything you can purchase new at a big box store. It makes me frustrated for all of us when I see a beautiful piece that was originally listed for a fair price of, say, $600 get reduced down to $200-$300. It doesn't only impact the person selling the item. It also impacts the value of similar pieces across the board, which devalues what our time is worth. I wish more people would restyle the piece and still sell it for fair market value rather than drastically reducing the price.
This is gorgeous. I can totally envision it in a beach cottage, where it would fit in just about any room, not just a bedroom or office. I appreciate you showing us how to use the stamps. That method looks so much better than decals, in my opinion.
Kacha, do you have an videos showing how to fade from a white/light gray center to a black outer area? Like a white to black ombre? I haven't found any yet. If not. Can you please show us how it's done? Thank you!
Dear Kacha. Your job is impeccable, doesn't matter the style ir colors you vision in a particular piece of furniture. Keep up the good work. Keep blessing all of us with your God given gift. God bless you.
I’m thrilled you went back to your original (kind of signature) layering blending style. I forgot how much I enjoy that process … definitely trying that aged look on a piece. You typically don’t distress your pieces but that worked. Wonderful video!
I agree 💯 I was missing some of the "Signature Kacha Techniques" myself! I have an extreme love for texture, layering, blending and dry brushing are from watching Kacha years ago 😁❣️
You are so knowledgeable about all the material you work with. I so enjoy watching your transformations. I also love seeing your cute dogs with you while you work. Thank you!
This aged, layered look is what I love about you, Kacha! I prefer it to the original makeover, it has more life, not flat like the brown. The color selections are perfect. Your artist’s eye always knows just what to do.
Well, honestly, i did not want you to change it because I loved the glam desk. BUT whoa! I bought a desk for myself this week and I have lots of cream and coco so NOW I know what to do with it! Yay! BTW, I did a piece with cream and Paris gray once and loved it. The gray has some blue hues to it and the contrast was wonderful! I love Annie Sloan! It is my favorite to work with! 😃
How heartbreaking! I love this version, too, but the original was stunning! I would have bought it if I could. People with money don't know how to spend it.
Beautiful Talented Kacha, where do you sell and what do you price your different pieces for and how do you decide on the price.... would be even more cool to add these last business details to each of your creations for an all-around creation video/tutorial!!! 💜
You are such a talent, Kacha! I just found your site a few days ago, and I've been binge-watching ever since (until 2am one morning!). I would love to be able to do what you do! ❣💗❣ I also can't get over how you manage to keep your clothes, hands and floor free of paint! Wow! 😲
Just some thoughts on displaying the final creation which is beautiful ! Where are your big white flowers with the gold accents ? They would have set off the piece vs. the planter. Also...on such a light piece...If you hung a black flat sheet behind it & under it ...it would really pop & scream ... you have to buy me. 😊
Oh my heart sank a bit! Both are beautiful, but I absolutely loved the first look. That piece was actually one of my favorites of your work, but I completely understand that you needed to keep inventory moving, love your style!
I loved the piece the way it was but I love the way it looks now as well. You are an amazing furniture artist and I love watching you create. Happy New Year!🥂🌸
broke my heart at first to see you cover up your beautiful work...but, oooh la la, the make-over is to die for! You are a true inspiration, Kacha. Love you!
You are a wonderful teacher! Keep doing what your doing for us. I’ve painted 2 pieces,a vanity that I painted in a pearl paint and a kidney shaped desk. I thought I had the vanity sold but the buyer backed out. The vanity I need to repaint. No one has looked at it.
You are so much fun to watch and even though I've done furniture refinishing for years, I still learn something new every time I watch your videos. Your work is Beautiful. Also, I'm in Love with Duke ❤.
What a beautiful piece. I am surprised it didn't sell. What you did to it is so beautiful though. It looks amazing! So lovely! You are truly an artist with your painting techniques! So lovely!!
For some reason the second piece puts one at ease and is comforting. Also quietly luxurious. Money,Honey. Hope it sells to the right person who snaps it up. Thank you for addressing that one can redo a redone piece.
I understand everyone has their own opinion and I usually love everything you do, however I did not care for the original finish. So, I’m happy to see you refinishing it. I just wish you would have changed the trim molding on the drawer fronts and given the corners a 45 degree cut…the beauty of the desk calls for it.
Looks great... did before too, but I also haven't distressed etc in a long time, so this was such a good refresher, also a reminder to redo some projects in my own home as I have just moved - thank you Kácha. Great filming Carlos.. (Lóve those dogs...!) 🦋
I love the new look, but the first was so gorgeous and all that gold leafing you did! I was hoping you would distress down to some of that. I think you know your buyers (market) though. No denying the new look is really right on trend Even without gold, everything you touch turns to GOLD🤩
What an amazing transformation !! Like it a lot better than the original look. The colors look great and I love the aging. The stamp really sets off the front of the drawers. This texture looks fairly easy to do and really makes a difference. Thanks Kacha for another great video !!
This reminds me of an old school "Kacha Video" which makes me SO happy 😁 Thank you so much for bringing back some of your older techniques that you used to do all the time ❣️ I learned my extreme love for texture, layering and dry brushing from you ❤ Thank you again SO very much girl 💖
It must be so heartbreaking to have to paint over something that you'd spent so much time and energy on. At least you had fun doing it and rediscovered something that you really enjoy. Both pieces were gorgeous, but you got to do what's going to sell. Best of luck to you in the new year, Kacha.
Thank you so much, kacha and I love that you showed us about using the stamp. It is perhaps my favorite look. I love gold leaf and was sad that you had to cover it!
I don't understand, why it wasn't sold!? The way,it looked before the repainting, it was JUST GORGEOUS!It was one of my favorite pieces, done by you! It was made in brown and gold for THE PALACE!
The first finish on the desk was formal and beautiful! Thank you for sharing this informative video showing how you completely transformed the same desk into a more casual piece, but equally beautiful! 👍🏻
I had been wondering why no one was addressing the topic of pieces that didn't sell. It is NEVER a loss when you get to create something, once, twice or a million times, each time is a new creation! Thanks!
I agree!
I love that thought!! Not everything sells all the time!
How much did it sell for? It's gorgeous!!❤❤❤
I love how you make old look like new and improved. Wish everyone could see the value in older furniture because older furniture is made with real wood and better overall construction.
I know it’s subjective, but I love the second look so much better. However, it must be frustrating to repaint something in order for it to sell. Your talent knows no limits!
Thank you! I had fun making both!
@@KachaFurniture please tell me the web address of your Etsy shop? Did not see it in the description box. Thank you! and always such gorgeous work. :)

Now that is actually what I would call glamorous! It has life and movement. I 💗it!!!
Love the new look, glam has its place, but not everyone has a glamorous home, but now it fits in any room, no matter the design..
I love ALL your furniture makeovers!I liked the original redo --but this new makeover is GORGEOUS 😍
Good that you changed a style of this desk. After makeover looks much better. Was nice but now is fantastic. Good job Dear. :)
This is gorgeous. I can totally envision it in a beach cottage, where it would fit in just about any room, not just a bedroom or office.

YES Brenda‼️ Bringing back of some of the "Kacha Signature Techniques" 😁❣️

Both versions are beautiful. You’re work is always stunning. Love seeing your puppies.
Love it! I think this is the essence of your painting style, like your signature type of painting. It has so much personality. Thank you for sharing.
Great idea to recycle the recycled. Brilliant! Someone will love it! 100%
I Love it! Everything you do, I Like! You're the Best! Your Style is Unique & Classy!
That is so much better! It’s beautiful.
Ooooooh how beautiful. Your talent is endless. Thank you forsharing with us.
I am very surprised this piece didn't sell, I thought it was beautiful.
I loved the 'original'wood but the gold was throwing me off. But the after the repaint WOW. Love it
What a difference.... Beautiful !!
How heartbreaking! I love this version, too, but the original was stunning! I would have bought it if I could. People with money don't know how to spend it.
I totally agree with you.
Beautiful Talented Kacha, where do you sell and what do you price your different pieces for and how do you decide on the price.... would be even more cool to add these last business details to each of your creations for an all-around creation video/tutorial!!! 💜
Been wondering this too for awhile. Would love a food reference and Kacha would be an awesome one to base some stuff off

Love this transformation. The aging on this piece.....perfect!!
I love watching you create!

Agree! The concrete wall is horrid. A real designer would get creative!
Happy New Year!🥂🌸
GORGEOUS! You are soooo talented and blessed.
I loved both ways you painted the furniture. You are so talented that anything you do is wonderful!

I like this remake. It looks elegant, more like Kacha.
Beautiful, well done . I like the new look better is more calming. You are so brave to make dramatic changes.
You are so much fun to watch and even though I've done furniture refinishing for years, I still learn something new every time I watch your videos. Your work is Beautiful. Also, I'm in Love with Duke ❤.
Beautiful! I get so much enjoyment watching your videos. Than you!
oh that stamp collection was so nice! The distress, plus the dark wax made the stamping really pop!
GIIIRL!! Not everyone can appreciate this. But let me tell you .. I DO! Thank you from one creator to another ..Love love love. ❤️
Good job! A classic piece with a classic look, and really classy music. Thoroughly enjoyed this. Thanks, Kasha and Carlos!

I really love what’s you did there. The desk looks so soft and loved. It is beautiful. You are awesome! Jo
I really like the style with stencils and that beautifully aged patina. Beautiful!
What a beautiful piece. I am surprised it didn't sell. What you did to it is so beautiful though. It looks amazing! So lovely! You are truly an artist with your painting techniques! So lovely!!
I like this so much better than the glam look. Beautiful!
Stunning piece and I actually prefer it this way as I’m a huge fan of distressed painted furniture 🥰
For some reason the second piece puts one at ease and is comforting. Also quietly luxurious. Money,Honey. Hope it sells to the right person who snaps it up. Thank you for addressing that one can redo a redone piece.
Really pretty…aged, distressed and just the right amount of gold!
Happy new year kacha and carlos👍👋👋❤👏thanks for always sharing....
Gorgeous outcome! I especially love how you accentuated the feet.
So much better this way, love it
I understand everyone has their own opinion and I usually love everything you do, however I did not care for the original finish. So, I’m happy to see you refinishing it. I just wish you would have changed the trim molding on the drawer fronts and given the corners a 45 degree cut…the beauty of the desk calls for it.
Yes! they stick out like a sore thumb. Probably why it didn't sell. And yet she still didn't fix it.
Looks great... did before too, but I also haven't distressed etc in a long time, so this was such a good refresher, also a reminder to redo some projects in my own home as I have just moved - thank you Kácha. Great filming Carlos.. (Lóve those dogs...!) 🦋
Beautiful. Annie Sloan Cream is such a beautiful color; it’s one of my favorites. I really like what you did with this piece.
I wasn’t sure at first but as usual you came up triumphant. Thank you
I love the new look, but the first was so gorgeous and all that gold leafing you did! I was hoping you would distress down to some of that. I think you know your buyers (market) though.
No denying the new look is really right on trend
Even without gold, everything you touch turns to GOLD🤩
What an amazing transformation !! Like it a lot better than the original look. The colors look great and I love the aging. The stamp really sets off the front of the drawers. This texture looks fairly easy to do and really makes a difference. Thanks Kacha for another great video !!
I loved the remake of this piece of furniture. I am sure it will sell.
That piece is STUNNING!!!!
I’ve followed you since the beginning and I just love all of your work!
Absolutely gorgeous
Wow....you really outdid yourself...just magnificent!!
Sorry about your migraine. I get them regularly. I missed hearing your voice, but enjoyed the music. Hope you're feeling better. 🥰
Ola Kacha! It's been a while! Like I said once before - your artist and your canvas is the furniture!!!!!
Love the redo
Aww, you worked your magic again! Another great transformation!🇨🇦😀💞
Love it! I admit I do like this look better. We all have pieces people love but it doesn't fit their style. This goes well with many current trends!
Gorgeous transformation. I so loved how you addressed this topic! gives me more courage to venture out. Thanks Kacha ...awesome teacher!
Congratulations 👏! You are right, it has character now!!! I love it 💞!!!
Absolutely love to learn from your techniques. Always tell people to watch your videos. Thank you!
You are so talented and so inspiring. Thanks for sharing your art.
I definitely prefer the new look...fabulous.
Very nice transformation.
Soooo Pretty
Wow, the dark wax around the drawers really made it pop. What a pretty piece.
I REALLY like the new look!! Thanks for the lessons!
This is beautiful. It was beautiful before too, but i think this is a more flexible style. I would have it in my home for sure
You are unstoppable! I am just binge-watching your videos! Thank you Katcha
Wow! Seriously love this.
Really is beautiful!
Все ваши работы прекрасны , руки ваши золотые. Спасибо за эти видео.
It must be so heartbreaking to have to paint over something that you'd spent so much time and energy on. At least you had fun doing it and rediscovered something that you really enjoy. Both pieces were gorgeous, but you got to do what's going to sell. Best of luck to you in the new year, Kacha.
Just think both techniques are beautiful and love love love. Thank you
Amazing 👏👏👏 thank you for 2021 full of art and I wish you a beautiful 2022 with all your family ❤🌟🥰🕊🥂🍾🎶
Thank you so much, kacha and I love that you showed us about using the stamp. It is perhaps my favorite look. I love gold leaf and was sad that you had to cover it!
How awesome Kacha. That was a perfect redesign.
Beautiful.
Definitely love the aged look! Wonderful job! I could tell this is something you loved doing. ❤️
I don't understand, why it wasn't sold!? The way,it looked before the repainting, it was JUST GORGEOUS!It was one of my favorite pieces, done by you! It was made in brown and gold for THE PALACE!
I'm surprised it didn't sell. I thought it look super cool and classy. Now it's a different cool ;-)
The first finish on the desk was formal and beautiful! Thank you for sharing this informative video showing how you completely transformed the same desk into a more casual piece, but equally beautiful! 👍🏻
Beautiful
