    I'm happy the judge gave him a life sentence. The grandmother, begging the judge to not take him away from us, was sickening considering they can visit him and talk to him. Tristen's parents, I bet, wish they could talk to their daughter 1 more time.

      I live in Australia and was so relieved to see he was sentenced to life. No one deserves what happened, and to such a young and bright young lady. I think most parents, especially with girls around the same age, are so deeply rocked by this as it could have been any young, innocent happy girl. Rest well Tristyn💞 the fight is now over.

      Well, losing a child is "on the map" on a personal level, but I can think of greater losses in a more global context - levelling whole cities in a war, or natural disasters that do the same, are simple ones that come to mind...

    The judge was struggling but kept it together. He did an outstanding job explaining everything. I wanted to see this monster and his family as the sentence was given. The pain this family has to endure for ever is so heartbreaking. They kept their cool the whole time. I don’t think I could have done it. The explaining what she went through, I can’t imagine. This will haunt Tristan’s family for life. Going over and over in their minds without relief. I think and hope he will never get out. The inmates might take justice into their own hands.

    Tristan's family is so impressive. Their love of her isn't just their words, it's in every single deed they accomplish. It is painful to witness what they've had to go through, but there is no doubt in my mind that Tristyn is looking down on her family and is so proud of them, and that she will be with them always. It was incredibly painful to watch Aiden's grandmother. What he did obviously had destroyed her and to this day, the pain is still so raw for her. I don't know if she will ever find peace because of the actions of her grandson. As she said, she doesn't know who he is anymore. She loves who he was, but the person who is sitting before her is a stranger to her. I honestly believe she is hurting by the loss of the grandson she thought she had almost as much as Tristyn's family is by the loss of their daughter. In many ways it's worse for the Aiden's family in that he was not an innocent, their child was the evil one that brought this upon them. Their own child, who they clearly loved and cared for, betrayed them all in such a horrific way, and now they have to live with what he has left behind. Tristyn will always be a beautiful, sweet, loving and kind innocent young woman, who was never able to achieve her potential. Tristyn will be remembered by her friends, family and the entire community for many decades to come, most will never forget her. Such a testimony for such a young woman who was only on this Earth for 13yrs. My her parents find peace and joy again in the most impressive and beautiful children that are Tristan's siblings. They have so much to be proud of in all their children, I'm so sorry this happened to their family.

      Tristyn was not “a young woman” she was a beautiful, sweet, kind, caring child. A child taken from her family and this world far, far too soon. Tristyn’s father also is a beautiful person, asking that people not judge the Fucci family for what Aidan did because he understands they also are in pain and suffering the loss of a child they once knew who turned into a monster. Scary movies, vicious video games, and foul often violent songs have desensitized all too many of the youth today.

      I agree what he did was heinous and unforgiveable, but imagine how his family must feel. They’re likely (to some degree) in shock/denial their little boy could do something so evil. And they’re losing a child too in a way (but I agree the loss of Tristyn is far and away worse as she is gone from this earth period, god rest her sweet soul 🌹).

    • @treyk7460
      @treyk7460 Рік тому +4

      @@jessicanolan7408 It's kinda hard to defend his family with how they've behaved. They have not demonstrated *any* empathy for Tristyn's family, nor have they displayed any remorse for what their son/grandson did. Yet they think _they_ have the right to ask for mercy for him? Don't forget: his mother was _caught_ washing Tristyn's blood out of her son's pants once she realized Tristyn was missing _and_ his dad just "happened" to lose the knife they thought might be the murder weapon. Then for the grandmother to compare their loss of Aidan's freedom to the loss Tristyn's family is experience when they at least can visit Aidan in jail where Tristyn's family will never speak to her or hear her voice again is insulting and incredibly disgusting. This demonstrates what's truly in their hearts. They may have had my empathy if they had earned it, but they demonstrated that the apple did not fall far from the tree and that they likely had a lot to do with him turning out to be a monster.
      Nope, Tristyn's family, friends and community have my empathy, Aidan's family does not deserve it with the behavior they have callously exhibited.

    In Germany, Aiden Fucci would've gotten an unjustifiably light sentence, which would be absolutely disgusting. And this reminds me of a recent murder, where a 13 year old girl in Germany was brutally killed by another 13 year old, who cannot be prosecuted because that kid is outside the minimum age for criminal prosecution (which is 14). And even worse: The criminal energy into that murder was so huge, that the murderer even made sure that she cannot be prosecuted because of her age (she looked up the law before committing that horrible crime).
    Aiden Fucci belongs behind bars. For good. Apologies for the tangent, but this just reminds me of that recent murder for which the murderer will just get psychological and social treatment at worst, instead of a prison sentence.

    This is a very emotional sentencing speech. Feel sorry for the obviously saddened judge for having to give it. His description of the effects of the crime on Tristyn, her family, friends and community are so terrible, it's hard to hear. I think this crime could have given a lot of people nightmares - wherever they live. To think that a teenage kid could cause so much devastation, is hard to get my head around. Aiden Fucci makes believable:that pure evil does, indeed, exist. Evil hates goodness, for shining its light on it. He knew that she would eventually reject him as a friend and "out" him because she was so innately intelligent and, yes, good. To allow him to walk the streets would have been a huge mistake. His life would be about destroying good wherever he went, . At least, now his evil will be tamped down, and also possibly eliminated entirely. I don't see him lasting long in prison. Many felons have hearts, or have changed in prison, and they will sense his evil. Fucci never will change, and I have a feeling he won't need a hearing in twenty years, where he's going. Like Dahmer, he will be low on the popularity scale.

    You could hear the emotion in the Judge's voice, her was choking back tears. Oh how I wanted to hear 'life without the possibility of parole'.
    Here in the UK he would have been treated with kid gloves, and would probably be out in less than ten years.

    The pain on her mother's face...my heart breaks for her. I can not even begin to imagine. I hope she finds peace and that this verdict is the one that she wanted. IMHO the victim's family should be the ones to determine what happens after a guilty verdict. Their decision should then be carried out after a 30 day appeals period if not immediately.

    The judges preamble to the sentencing discussing that the family’s grief will not be lessened by the sentence was very telling indeed. I knew from that he would get the maximum in the term range but get the minimum in the parole review. This was actually a very wise sentence by the judge as he is sentenced to life which takes care of the proportionality of the crime, but took age, maturity and mental health into account in order to assure fairness in case of appeal. The parole board in 25 years time will have to decide if he has been rehabilitated or not.

    There is nothing extenuating in viciously stabbing a 14 year old 114 times. A five year old child knows it is wrong to hurt someone. Nobody is so learning limited that they think slashing another human being is acceptable. We all have life/childhood traumas and issues, but we cannot use these to go around killing people who displease or disappoint us. If you are old enough to do the crime, take a life you are old enough to do the time and be removed from being a further threat to humanity.
