    • @jasonbourne7120
      @jasonbourne7120 Рік тому

      It literally is though. The system has the ability to have full control over parents. It has the ability to make it such that you cannot have children unless you prove you are competent enough to do so. It has the ability to teach young mothers and fathers how to properly raise a child. It has the ability to strengthen a failing education system that contributes to more bad mothers and fathers. It starts with the system. It unfortunately ends with the parents. The system has all the power, but chooses to throw responsibility away. And while the parents are not blameless, in the end they are apart of a broken and flawed system that they themselves fell victim to way before they ever thought about having kids. Too many people focus on issues like this and don't see the big picture.

      @freegracejake42 It was support information to reinforce your point of "the system" not being your neighbour, and further showing the "love thy neighbour" passage isn't directed towards the government.
      You are correct, it comes from a different passage, but you are not correct in saying it has nothing to do with the passage in question. It's actually the passage that clearly identifies the role of the system(s) aka government(s).
      In other words, I offered the source of why you are correct.

This person SHOULD have been in extended involuntary commitment before this crime, then only released to a group home setting.
      It's the only thing I disagree with the judge on. He himself said she "never had a chance" which is at odds with the notion that family is responsible for everything.

Everything after that was disturbing AF but he was dead and beyond suffering. To me, a crimes level of "horrificness" (!) depends on the amount of suffering the perpetrator caused to the victim. The reason she needs to be in prison for the rest of her life is simply because she is a lethal danger to anyone with whom she comes in contact. Prison will make her worse, prison will make her more violent, and prison will erode any possible hope she ever had about being a human being again. THe sooner we forget about her the better.
