Man that is great. You shoulda got a chair and cooler box up there with a few brews. Would have fixed the fear 😂, but pretty cool work platform...well done Jason.
Actually they are all gone. 😢 That was the last video I got of them before they left. We still have the sugar water out just in case some stop in on their way south. Thanks so much!! 😊
Looking good Jason! I see nothing wrong with that scaffolding job. Ive used far FAR less stable in my younger years as I have zero fear of heights so better to err on caution and you had plenty of bracing for what your trying to accomplish. Also once you get your ridge beam in you can tie off so it should help a bunch!
Hate that feeling of tingles behind the knees that comes with heights for me. But that is a truth of life. If it is to be, it is up to me. Get it done!
I’ve never heard anyone say “ I love heights “ ! lol. ( sorry about that random comment that wasn’t even meant for you on a video I’d already watched ) UA-cam jumped around on me last night. Anyway that looks awesome and sometimes you’ve just gotta go with it ! Maybe a 2x4 T under the center with some 45° braces would make you feel better. Would for me. lol. Take care Jason
This might be a silly question but......What made you decide to place your boards vertically instead of the traditional horizontal placement? And due to my fear of heights I always secure the ladder to whatever is available with either rope, wire, or screws hahaha.
I placed that ladder right up against the wall thinking it’d give me a sense of security going up to it lol I’m glad I’m not alone being afraid of heights! 😊 As for why I installed the boards vertically…..stay tuned 😉
Hi Jason n Jen, WHAT? Hate? What in the world did that mean? Surely ppl don’t give you hate comments over your fear of heights? 😡 that would make me mad if so!! Good job Jason, you done awesome. I was over here holding my breath for you 🫣 man I hate heights also. I got kinda sick at my stomach when you were standing and not holding on 😱. Lord I can’t wait for this job to be done to get you off that high stuff! Please tell me this is the LAST huge building you’re Building? Its gonna be sooooo nice! Stay safe, relax when you want to and God Bless ❤
Hi Pam!👋 Hope you are having a wonderful weekend. As you can see most of the comments are from people that have a fear of heights too!! So we are good! Jason did do a good job up on that cat walk! I had to walk away and not watch. I stayed close enough to hear if he needed me but couldn’t watch. Make me sick to my stomach. We both will be happy when he gets that job done. Not only for the height but thee is more to do before winter!! We will be building a barn but not anytime soon. Take care and God bless! ♥️🙏♥️
my farmer friend has one of these dogs that he trained to herd his cattle when time to milk she goes and gets the cows i would have t have a railing to hang on to before i would go up there ever since i fell off our barn roof im scared of heights power to ya
@@cedricgates9976 I haven’t fallen off a roof (yet) but it’s why I have such a respect for heights. ACD’s are an incredible dog and we’re so happy for the ones we have 😊

I can only guess that he needed the ridgepole across and attach the rafters/trusses to it, easier. And much safer to work from.
@@HensOnly - That was not my question. I'm referring to the vertical exterior (outer side) boards on the sides of the building.

It's better to say:" I respect heights" . And that attitude is far better than some cocky kid who climbs like a monkey and thinks he'll live forever.
@@DanaUdapp Amen to that

Hey, when are you going to brace the walls? It may look stiff, but it won't take a strong wind, especially with snow on it.
