    Hi Mona, I was just wondering, can you show some qualifications regarding your pharmacy degree? I’m asking because you mentioned in your video that the human body tries to achieve homeostasis and create an alkaline environment and “reduce acidity”. Any legitimate health care provider knows that the human body is around 7.35-7.45. As a pharmacist you should know this is close to neutral, and you should also know that the human body is very good at maintaining this pH without “drawing out” nutrients from the bones as you mentioned. Can you provide some references to research papers or peer reviewed journals that support this view that many UA-camrs seem to be propogating of the human body needing to keep an “alkaline” environment?

      @@aimeerivera6625 i think because many store bought roasted nuts are fried in cheap oils. and they often contain sugar specially the cheap ones. i feel home dry roasted nuts are much better. personally i cant eat raw hazelnuts or pecans. but roasted ones taste way better.

      Generally it’s not advisable to eat 3-4 hours before you go to bed as your body is supposed to undergo something called ‘brain wash’ and basically doesn’t need to spend time trying to digest your food instead of actually cleaning out stuff.

    The glycemic index is affected by food eaten together so if you eat white pasta with a meat marinara sauce or put peanut butter on a rice cake the glycemic index of the meal is much lower than for the pasta/rice cake eaten alone. I love white pasta and can easily "taste the difference" with alternatives. Here is an article debunking your glycemic index argument. www.bicycling.com/health-nutrition/a23549424/whole-wheat-pasta/

  • @mdellyd
    @mdellyd 5 років тому +1

    "the glycemic index doesn’t take into account the real-world way people eat foods: in combination, not in isolation. You’re not eating a plain bowl of pasta and calling it a day-you’re probably topping it with sauce and eating a side or two with it. The way you build a meal affects how quickly it will lead to a spike and fall in blood sugar. “Pairing a starchy carb with a protein, fat, and some fiber will actually regulate your blood sugar so you won’t experience an energy spike followed by a crash,” she says.
