Yes yes yes. Awesome build!! Keep doing these. Love love love!!
Thanks!
The thing about the purple Sharpie; you can use isopropyl alcohol to clean off Sharpie marks before you paint.
Just make sure it won't also dissolve any glues or materials you are also using in your build. It will also take off acryllic paint but, I don't know about enamel, latex or lacquer.
Of course! I’ll keep that in mind next time. Thanks for the tip !
I love how trashbuilds just end up looking like Star Wars ships b/c they were made of the same stuff lol
Hahaha absolutely. All the sets are just garbage glued to the walls.
That's my favorite part of the original trilogy is recognizing some of the items used in the set/proper design.
Yeah, thats what makes them so distinctive, the fact they could be plausibly built and greebled by hand, and have 70s energy
This video is hilarious and the build is fantastic and the last two minutes of the video are a gift to this world. Especially the “pew pew” effect.
Great job :)
Ey thanks Mélodie!
Nice to see that there are still people to have imagination, nice job !
Thanks a lot!
AWESOME...
..............MORE "STAR WARS" PLEASE!
If you Insist !
very inspired build. the zip ties for the vents is very clever. super clue spout for the muzzle device too
Thanks!
I really like this build. It has that lived in Star Wars look to it. Well done.
Love scratchbuilds and was thinking of doing this for my players starwars game aswell. Came out really good :)
Wow, outstanding work. And very inspiring! I have been hoarding bits and containers for exactly such a project, and now I’m pumped to give it a try. Thanks so much for making this video.
Thanks a lot! that’s amazing. It’s a blast! Do it!
@@NicheCrafts Are you planning to do another spaceship video?
I will someday! I definitely have plans for some more sci fi terrain. I have also been hoarding trash lol@@dartmart9263
@@NicheCrafts Awesome! Thanks
great job!!!
Thanks!
Dude! This looks awesome. Great build.
Thanks a lot! More to come!
Really nice build. Btw... clear fingernail polish works pretty well for glasseffects
Oooo excellent idea!
plus it doubles as nail polish too !
It looks pretty good and will work well with legion or in dioramas. What seems to be missing is a loading ramp and the standardised correllian air locks.
If I'm not mistaken, the loading ramp and airlock would be in the back middle section. I imagine the ramp comes down - same as the landing gear, not included in this build (though maybe in my next ship build!).
@@NicheCrafts My Mistake - I had thought that the back middle section was more engines.
@@ArmouryTerrain No worries! I had to look it up. I was using a few references when making this build!
My only issue with combining super glue with baking soda is that it absorbs humidity. Giving you the possibility of a drippy mess on a hot summers day.
Hmm never had that problem. Good to know!
Also, the intro made me cackle. 🤣
Bravo well done 👏🏻
Thanks !
This is an incredible build! I love seeing all the random bits and bobbles becoming a cohesive ship. It's so cool seeing what pieces you used for what! I'd never have thought to use the zip ties for the engines!! :0
Eyyyyy thanks! It is definitely the most fun part to just add bobbles and see what works!
That looks awesome, and thanks again for sharing with us.
Thank you!
That's so awesome buddy! Kool 👍🏽👏🏽
Thanks!!
Heck yeeeeeeah! It's the Juggernaut, bitch!
This build rocks so hard, dude! You really captured the YT as a ship, and I feel like this perfectly meets the spirit of the Star Wars specific junk ship. I also kind of like the really rough texture! It gives it "this ship has rusted and then been painted straight over without removing the rust" vibes, which feels appropriate.
I also can't believe that the turrets were trashcobbled too! Because it swivelled, I just assumed it was a piece from some kind of kit! It's so cool that the swivel was done with magnets.
I would love to see more Star Wars builds! I feel like there are so many locations and monsters and ships in Star Wars that could be fun minis.
Well done!
I think it turned out great, you learned some key points about your materials and tools, and you kept a positive outlook and humor about the entire project.
Bravo!
Thanks!
Oil washes are not "I have to do it outside" kind of toxic, they are more "don't put me on your skin or in your mouth" kind of toxic.
It's more for the smell. I don't have great ventilation where I work. I once put a cactus in my studio and it shrivelled up and died. So now I lean on the safe side and work outside.
Movie quality space ship! Makes me want to make a ship toy.
Do it! I had never done a project like this before. I believe in you!
You can use fairy lights to light up the engines they’re cheap and effective. That’s if you want to light the model when you’re finished.
LEGO also makes some light up modules and they would be the perfect size for your ship.
@@stardude2006 yeah totally !
The paint job and detailing is very difficult to perfect! But just like anything, more practice is what's needed...after all, Eddie Van Halen didn't play Eruption the first time he picked up a guitar!
Totally!
Really proud of seeing you learn as you go. Trial and error is definitely part of the journey.
A piece of advice I'll impart is you can use a light cardstock like from cereal boxes as a means to make templates to see where things can go. 😊
Also EVA foam will be a powerful ally in your adventure. Also resin black nail polish will make for great glass in your windows.
Good advice ! Thanks!
Damn! That is a great looking ship - now I’m inspired to go try and make something as cool. Subscribed!
Do it! Thanks a lot!
I would LOVE to see you make a Tie Fighter. That would be great! Or actually build a miniature Darth Vader. I am making some items for a young friend of mine, he is 5 and he really likes Darth Vader. Thanks again for the video!
I would definitely consider that !
Despite the bumps along the way, it turned out pretty damn good. I've been slowly making ships for Stargrave using junk and old squirt gun and Nerf gun parts. So yeah, I can relate to doing something and then realizing, yeah, that wasn't the best idea. But you take those experience points into the next build. I've learned a lot from building my own terrain and from watching other people on UA-cam do the same. I like how the ship turned out. Would be interesting to see another video where you take a second stab at it and see how well it turns out.
Would definitely consider that! Working on another junk build atm and it’s definitely going smoother!
it is definitely a piece of junk .... but can it make point-5 past lightspeed ? :P
but seriously, its kinda badass that you made this from trash. Very Nice. :D
Haha Thanks! and Absolutely not!
this is cool
Thanks!
great vid
Thanks!
Great job what Brand of paint and Brushes you use
Oh almost exclusively cheap craft paint and the cheapest brushes. The purple paint was citadel but the rest were the cheapest I could find
Impressive. Most impressive indeed.
Now try a slave1...be the master.
Oh I may just have to!
Did I miss the comment?
"What a piece of junk."
😏
haha nice
this dude painted his finger💀
craft fun
Agreed!
Love it! So kludged together and scrappy. Just perfect vibes for a Corellian junker.
thanks!
There are two methods to make the cockpit look better, the first is of course to build it inside as well, which is very time-consuming, the second is to paint the transparent plastic from the inside, which gives it a great depth effect.
Alternatively, transparent nail polish can also be used.
Will definitely try the nail polish and I would absolutely love to build a tiny interior. I’m only going to get more ambitious with these builds.
Do you mean clear nail polish to give the exterior canopy a glossier finish?
@@Jianju69 no just gloss black, but you can use clear on black as well
Hello, my name is D and I am doing a research project based on about the representation of the impact of the popular franchise Star Wars has on culture. You’re video came to my attention and I would like to get a feedback on what are you’re thoughts and opinion on why this concept idea is very important to cultural and media and as a fan why star wars inspire you to do what you do.
Thanks,
You can use Bathroom Chalking
For filled it Water Soluble
So can be Smoth with your Finger or Silacine Sculpting Tool
BRUSH
Dope nice!! keep going I enjoyed your design for that star wars fighter ship.
Thanks !
this looks great, any space craft would get bashed to blazes by space debris so it would get pretty roughed up,best wishes on a job well done.........................jpj
Haha totally thanks !
Can you made Aven Colony diorama on 1m2 surface, and make of it perfect small city.
Badassery!! Subbed - now I gotta go build me a spaceship out of cardboard, Eva foam and some led lights
YEAH! That makes me want to make another one!
an incredible job!, well done, you have the creative eye!, looks so realistic, you can make anything out of trash! many regards, Ian & Zey :)
Thanks a lot !
WHAT A PIECE OF JUNK!!! LOL, WOWZZZZEEERRRRZZZZZ!!! THAT IS A FREAKING AWESOME SHIP!!!! It definitely has the markings of a Correllian Class, again just FREAKING AWESOME!!!! I'm currently working on my very first Star Wars inspired spaceship build, by the shape of the bottle it looks like it might be a discontinued Hammerhead class.
Amazing! Thanks a lot!
Having seen the production details of the first Star Wars film, with the scrimping and saving and what they got away with, I beleve Mr Lucas would approve.
hahaha thanks!
i'm very late but try using black gloss nail polish for stuff like cockpit glass it is a quick and dirt cheap way to get really smooth glass but it needs to be the cheapest nail polish ever we are talking drugstore brand stuff it works the best
Totally. Did that on a more recent build!
Nice job. Do take your time. I think your next one will turn out much better!
I know it will! Thanks!
Great scratch build. Had the feel of one of the old Kenner toy star wars ships.
Wow thanks !
Thank you. It will be nice if you could make it a 1/12 scale to fit in 6" action figures.
Hahaha that would be crazy! I couldn’t….right?
Very impressed with your creativity and your diligence in finishing this project! Well done!
Thanks !!
Oh yeah, this just looks likes something you'd be able to buy like a YT-900 or something. Just a smaller model.
Thanks!
What more can I say other than I dig it, because I dig it! Awesome job. Why does trash make such good star ships?
I mean I think it’s because so much sci fi media used garbage to make their models hahaha
haha. yeah...holy sh**t. This is a famous brazilian meme 3:23, Nazaré Tedesco. lol
:)
She's the ship who made the garbage run in less that 12 parsecs
😝
Keep calm and build on fail more you will learn more I did this in the 60s and the 70s and starting again esayons mean let us try
@@RandyZimmerman-pp5wj haha love that
@@NicheCrafts I used to make wooden go carts and race them down the driveway and wreck it Ralph had the most stitches on the block gooaal
Nice work mate , subbed , funny video as well
Thanks! Welcome aboard
Haha, I love how you were in the garbage compactor. 😂
hehehe
Very Awesome! And great sound fx
Hahah thanks made em myself!
Neat idea using the zip ties for vent grills :)
Thanks !
I like the woodburning trick, quick and dirty way to get some deeper panel lines and shapes.
Yeah! worked well. I think i would pre-score them a little next time because the tool can easily slip and you get deep mistake marks
star wars IS trash, so no surprise there
lol
Your model is really cool I appreciate all the parts of trash u used to make it and the level of detail. I've started working on a model of my own, it's a YV-865 Aurore-class freighter.
Ooo that’s a really fun ship! I’d like to see it when it’s done!
This was AWESOME!! I really enjoyed your video and the space flight at the end was very cool!!!!
Thanks! That was my favourite part!
@@NicheCrafts It was Brilliant!!!
@@kaaawasakiproductions Thanks! I didn't have a green screen so the whole thing was done with Starbucks aprons lol
@@NicheCrafts It just keeps getting better and better!! Bravo!!! Bravo!!! This is the way!!

Love the design of the ship
Thanks!
This Looks great. Good job.
Thanks!
welcome on my tabletop anytime.
haha thanks!
You literally redesigned the YT-2000 from X-Wing Alliance and made it feel fresh.
I would make an insult, but I REALLY love the X-Wing/TIE Fighter games, easily the best, most immersive Star Wars games ever made, so this is right up my alley.
Haha awesome
Very cool star wars ship.
Thanks !
Awesome build 😁👍🏾
Thanks !
Great representation of the creative process. Many People are too afraid of failure to even try to make something, yet we see that altgough you had many failures you still finished the project and emerged victorious with a great looking build and much more knowledge than before
Thanks a lot!
Very nice! =D
That looks like something they could use as a prop for a Star Wars film. It very much looks like it was built by the same folks that did the Falcon.
Eh! Thank you so much !
It really looks good man! It’s cool to build your characters gear and ships, I’ve been working on a stealth tie fighter for my character in our Edge of the Empire game, but it’s been on the back burner a minute… need to get back to that!
Thanks! Do it!
This came out fantastic! Excellent use of trash, and you nailed the Star Wars aesthetic 🤘
Thanks !
I absolutely love this, the build turned our incredible! I have to try to do something similar to add it to my micro galaxy squadrons collection.
Yes! Do it!
Now you should make the inside play area of the ship so you can have epic battles repelling boards, or board an enemy ship!!!
Yeah!
damn impressive
Thanks! Means a lot. This was all new methods but turned out pretty good!
This is genius!
Thanks :)

Hey, Thanks a lot !
That's a fun build. Love the 'Wilhelm Scream' for the chip clip!
Hehe Thanks!
Hooray! I have been looking for Star Wars builds! Thank you so much! Great job! I got lots of ideas. I am new to this type of activity but I love it.
Amazing. Love that. More to come!

I just started scracth building my first spaceship out of junk. So coming across this video was perfect. I really enjoyed watching your process. Thank you for posting this :)
That's awesome! thanks!
@@NicheCrafts you’re welcome 😎
you seem to have the same adhd recklesness in building models as i do. i enjoyed your video but it hurts my hear when someone used pp or hdpe parts in builds,i use polistyrene exclusively
I do indeed have that adhd. I love using that junk though
@@NicheCrafts my issue with those 2 materials is that they are chemically which causes any bond used to them fairly weak, while polystyrene parts are being welded both by superglue and standard modelling glue
@@KrazzPL Oh totally. There it is definitely more difficult but i love the feeling of turning trash into something cool. Can't beat that for me.
Nice kit bash.
Thanks!!!
@@NicheCrafts YT series like craft?
Soo what's with the nail polish big boy ?
Awesome build👌
thank you so much!
Hey would you mind if I used your ship design for a project?
Go for it! I worked from reference from other artists. would love to see it when its done!
Beautiful ship! 👍🏆
Thankss !
Amazing and Disney made a franchise into trash 😂😂😂😂 🫰
