I came here for Jude's work, but I guess this one will do.
I’m also just here for Jude’s work.
@@Boylei the collaboration we all really wanted.
🤣🤣
I bet Jude’s had wormy dealies 😏
both of your guys robots are great
@@Boylei please thank Jude for allowing you to post your work too 🙏
When you're wandering an unknown planet all alone, it's good to wear a diaper so you're prepared for anything.
Hi Studson
and you
Hey stud upload plz
Thanks for the tip! It’s hard to ya know “take a shower” if you urinate on J-493
@@LEMMING202 XD
Holy cow was this build inspiring and your weathering looks amazing
Eyyyyy it’s uncle Jessy
Droid looks like something a former Imperial starfighter technician would build as a sentry droid to protect a hideout after deserting the Empire. Something Mando might come across in Season 3 while trying to find this important former technician for some reason.
It looks like after the war was over someone said "Hey, did anyone call in that Droid from G56 Sector?"
"What Droid is that?" 😳
Wait, you did NOT follow the instructions????
: O
The model kit instructions didn’t have a section for “scrap wandering droid” variant.
@@Boylei it doesn’t!?
Wait, your kits come with "instructions"...? Huh, mine only come with painting drop cloth papers, they are really convenient for not getting paint all over my desk. 😃
That cape is so jaunty! I love the idea of him picking it off of a scrap pile and thinking "yeah, this is class".
Also I'm surprised that the design language of the Zaku kit meshes so well with the Star Wars parts!! It's funny, I've built a bunch of Bandai's Gundam models but none of the Star Wars ones. I'll have to remedy that soon!
Sooo, did you try a Star wars model kit yet
Ok, so...I feel like I need to know more about you and how you got into this niche area of artistic expression. I really appreciate your humor and I feel like there’s a reason for it. Great build!
Watch Memories of Mongolia. He delves into his personal life a lot in that video. Pretty cool childhood tbh.
Here's the video: ua-cam.com/video/DlQHZPnV00w/v-deo.html
This is a true work of art, design and creativity. Thanks for sharing your love for this line of art. The character makes me feel like he is a humble tempol protector of families that live far away in the woods , the jungle. The people escape from the empire and are kind of one with the land. The kids love him because he brings food and make toys for them.
Various junk from astromech droids combined to form a vessel for a poor junker/scavenger dying of a lesser known disease, the scavenger managed to copy his personality into his creation, but after his creator died he left and started to form a personality of his own. What he is looking for is not very well known, but I can tell you that part of the junk he is built out of is an old lightsaber containing a kyber-crystal.
Very cool droid, never expected the end result to have so much personality, yet look so much like a real Star Wars creation straight out of the movies.
This Droid looks like it's been walking for a long time so I'd say that perhaps something happened to those who created it (perhaps bandits or the like) and they stole the droid's controller unknowingly (thinking it valuable) so rather than hunting them down to seek vengence for it's fallen creators- It's forced to track the bandits completely undetected by them in order to take it back. I figure instead of being motivated by emotion, this droid really just wants the freedom to get offworld and function peacefully. Whether or not you like that idea: there's plenty of room to build off of it or change it around. None the less it's an awesome build, you never miss.
Nice! Bouncing off your idea, maybe the droid's goal is simply to find their creator, and the faraway signal device thing that would help it find them was hijacked/looted by said bandits?
I get Wally vibes
Model kits shudder when they end up in your shopping cart! 🤣 Nicely done!
Since you said renfaire, I thought of a backstory for the *Squire droid;*
_Once upon a time. There was a Mighty Warrior and their Droid. The Droid admired their Master so much, they wanted to be just like them. Many years ago, the Master disappeared one day, having left and never returning. Since then, the Droid has taken it upon themselves to improve their skills and abilities on their own._
*_The Droid wanders that land as a sort of junior rōnin or knight; helping small villages, saving fair maidens, defeating monsters, and gaining strength, One day hoping to find their old master and show them what they've achieved._*
Huzzah!
That's great creativity 👍
Such a beautiful build. Keep working on your painting. Both zenith all highlights and washes mute colors, don't be afraid to be more bold with your painting.
Love Jude’s droid!
I love that he inspired you to build your own too. It turned out amazing
I don't know why, but i truly love all of your droids and walkers! You're so inspiring, thank you for what you're doing ❤️
Amazing build as always! The droid kinda gives me the vibes of an old mechanic droid left abandoned for decades after an imperial raid wiped out the rebel outpost it worked on.
Maybe in the first order era? I don't know, it feels like a wise droid surviving undercover and passing on the knowledge and hope that the rebellion gave them.
I shouted “YES!” when I got a notification that you uploaded again. I simply can’t get enough of what you do on this channel :)
I would love to see more Star Wars inspired ideas for the Wild Imaginary West. Perhaps the cowboys come across a large wreck of unknown technological parts in the desert??
Keep up the good work as always :)
Beautiful work!! He gives me a Don Quixote vibe! I envision that he was programmed to locate something but his ship crashed on the wrong planet. After multiple replacements of his failing machinery, his quest has evolved in fantastic ways!
This droid looks beautiful, I love the paint job too. As far as back story... I don't know yet. But he is welcome on my junk planet.
That's so cool, just having the skill to sit there and make this, off your head amazes me.
Lucas films is just around the corner for you. Love this droid mate amazing imagination 👍
Just can’t get over that “priming moment” when it all just comes together like a freaking magic trick.
Maybe a homemade droid the Jawas cobbled together (like you did) from spare parts as a droid-Friday helping around the sand crawler? Nice piece, and I really like the faded paint effects. Will have to try that out.
I can actually see that as a BLACK SERIES figure... outstanding job.
You have a vivid imagination, and a good eye for adding greeblies! Keep up the good (and inspirational) work!
I am loving your new projects! It’s like whenever you bring something new to the table it’s better than the one before!
Renaissance fair hahaha.. I think creators are their own biggest critics. The droid is awesome :)
Your nephew has a great imagination. Love the build great job.
Super creative project and it was cool that you showed the other builder's droids as well. Love the weathering and the base!
Love the droid that your nephew made!
Great work. I'm enjoying all the entries, such a good idea.
The model is great, but the painting really looks outstanding!
Another great build! For back story, the robot looks like something built from the junk pile by a group of people stranded on the planet (like the Kurt Russell movie “soldier”, good flick if you can watch). After the humans leave he was left to his own devices to wander around for hundreds of years looking for a purpose - pose, and use of gizmology was spot on!
Your art is so powerful it creates worlds in my imagination
People like you are geniuses, it's insane how great eveyrthing looks.
"ITS ALIVE!!!!" Great build bud. Sunday is complete.
Guitar Strings!
What an awesome idea! I’m definitely incorporating that in the future.
0:02 kid has a bright future as a Star Wars fan! Keep creating little man!
I'm glad that contrast trick worked out :) And thank you for the mention!
That was one of your best creations I think. And your nephews robot was awesome
Love Jude's Droid, it's really awesome that it inspired you to create your Junk Droid. I'm definitely gonna check out some of those recommended videos.
Thanks so much for organising this collab. It has been so much fun working with all you guys. Loved your droid! I was worried by the pastel vibe for a moment but I knew how it ended up! Great work as always.
Excellent work. This is far more Star Wars than anything Disney has ever made!
The music you played at the end when displaying the droid was simply outstanding. It somehow perfectly fitted the vibe of the droid, and I loved the atmosphere it created. I'm really impressed!
Your nephew's droid was amazing! yours too ofc
I liked seeing all the things the other creators built at the start, then I see North of the Border's and it is so funny to me, I remember watching that video, but seeing it here again is just so comical.
Everything about this build is cool!
That's a rusty beauty!
To me, it looks like this droid was supposed to be a companion or patrol bot, helping others pathfinder or defend against smaller life-forms. It's tall because tall droids are intimidating to most sentients, and the staff would provide rudimentary combat capabilities. It's definitely been damaged, or had parts wear out, and someone added bits to it to try and compensate. Perhaps it still serves It's purpose, or it could be just another forsaken droid, wandering aimlessly through the jungle.
Like it. Abandoned sentry. Tip of staff could be illuminated. Battery in base. Needs something in left hand...binoculars, drone, weapon, tool, or shield.
Super buid, love it. Cape gives a nice contrast
This was probably one of my favorite Star Wars-esque builds, and the podracer video. I just like the kit-bashing videos. Keep it up! :)
I'm a huge SW fan and this is just amazing. It absolutely matches the aesthetics of the saga and the philosophy behind them.
Very cool droid, love all the details and the cape is a nice touch. Everyone in the collab did a great job, I think Docs is my favourite but they're all fantastic builds. Looking forward to seeing more of Jude's work, great work on the pit droid.
“Thank the Maker”. Hopefully soon he can get an oil bath. 😄
What a fantastic build and great idea to invite your UA-cam peers to give this sort of build a try. Bravo!!
That turned out really good looking. As you were working, I had a story come to mind... hope you don't mind my sharing at this late date.
I think this droid "woke up" next to a scrap pile with a sudden beep and quiet whirr. He was small, had wheels and only one "arm" with a grabber at the end. He couldn't remember who or what he was, what had happened, where he was from... or where he was. He did know he didn't feel well.
So he began to rummage through the things that were next to him, trying to find something that would make him feel better. A small amount of fluid helped, but there was still something not quite right. He found a metal book that had plans in it for various droid types and he finally figured out that he needed to change a particular part. It had something to do with power. His was cracked and leaking. He found one that was similar on a lump of... something... and was able to replace the one attached to his top. After he'd finished, he got to thinking and came up with the idea that he could change himself to be like one of those other droids in his book. And so, his journey began.
As he traversed the land, he saw that only devastation remained, but had no idea why or whether this was normal for where he was. He seemed to be all alone. As he wandered, he stopped at places, found bits of this and that, compared them to the pictures and drawings in his book, and added what he felt he wanted to keep. Over his travels, he replaced his wheels, which were hard to get around on in this dry climate, with legs and feet. His single appendage became arms and hands with fingers. He changed his head and body as well... and kept changing his parts until one day there was nothing of the old him left. Finally he felt he might be perfect... and he stopped changing.
This guy has so much personality, the cape was a great touch 👍
Seriously there are some good scratch droids and kitbashes out there, but yours are just on another level especially when it comes to your ability to tell a story with paint… Amazing stuff dude.
Awesome job!
Your nephew did a great job. It would just need a paintjob to give it a unified look.
The droid really gives me the vibes of some sort of pilgrim. It looks like it has been wandering for many years in search of whatever it is looking for
Your creativity and productivity is outstanding. It tells me my brain is ready for a software update just like this droid! Great Job Man. Bravo!
Wonderful build, once Iv finished my Mando build I shall get back to scratch and mid bashing
Phenomenal custom scavenger droid Boylei!! I love how you started with an astromech and built it out (and up) for more articulation, the colors do seem kind of subdued, but that fits the story and conveys the sense this guy has been around for a very, very long time.
Possible backstory; "Rusty" was the astromech repair droid of a scrapper on a backwater planet that saw more than its fairshare of battles during the rebellion. As time went on the scrapper added parts to Rusty and upgraded his systems as tech was found to make him a more useful companion for the scrapper.
Now, decades after his creator has past away, Rusty still wanders the planet doing what he has done his whole life, collecting junk and scavenging parts to repair and trade with others at the local spaceports.
Another awesome scratch build sir, this could fit in with either your Star Wars or your Wild Imaginary West builds. Great stuff, thanks for sharing, stay safe and keep on keeping on!!
Missed this while I was on vacation, glad it came back around. Thanks for sharing.
The droid was left on a planet with a clone trooper overtime the droid started to brake so the clone in a last ditch effort went to the nearest town and got a lot of droid parts and saved his friend they still live in harmony as 2 enemies who are now friends (clones numbers are cc-256678 since this was very early in the clone wars I chose not to give him a name if you want you could come up with one)
your videos are so awesome and your art is amazing
Love this guy. Reminds me of the gondolier droid from Mandalorian. Would love to see an episode (or entire show!) about junk droids on a junk planet, far far away
It's a very good conversion, really impressive, fantastic job
Amazing, so great how the different parts came together! Such a good result too! Thanks for inviting us to take part 👊👊
Thank you guys so much for doing these collabs! I really love making stuff and it’s always hard finding good channels. Now I get to discover a bunch of great ones every time you do them.
That is beautiful. I love this build, my friend you have an amazing talent for art. 👍✊🏽
Amazing work, Jude! Love your droid in the intro. Keep up the great creativity and I'm looking forward to seeing more from you!
Possible Backstory: Meet “Scrapper”, the last in a line of homemade junk collecting droids. His creator was a man known only by his nickname, “Haggle.” Haggle was a junker living illegally on the outskirts of Baracca, a large junking planet, during the Imperial occupation. Haggle was known across the galaxy for his ability obtain rare and hard to find parts at very affordable prices, even if his methods of acquiring them weren’t always, “above board.” Haggle in an effort to meet the rising demand of parts needed by various outfits that were anti-Empire, lead him to create a small unit of Scrapping droids that would scour Barraca searching for parts he could sell. His intention in their design was to create droids that were as agile and able as any biped, but could also blend into the environment at a moments notice when under the threat of a Imperial scouts.
Haggle and his Scrapper droids eventually developed a reputation for their illegal outfit, and became high priority targets for both Imperial forces and Bounty Hunters (no honor amongst thieves).
Haggle and his droid operation were eventually discovered by Imperial Forces. Haggle was put to death while the entire droid unit was promptly decommissioned and destroyed.
Alas, one final scrapping droid, not accounted for, was still on assignment junking when Haggle and his companions were apprehended, Scrapper. Upon his return to the hideout, Scrapper would discover he was now on his own, with no master to serve. His new obligation, to fulfill the needs of his former Master’s most lucrative new clients, the Rebel Alliance.
Legend would have it that through the entire Rebel Uprising, scrapper was still collecting and supplying parts to various Rebel Leaders. His fee, none - just the satisfaction that he was fulfilling an obligation programed into him, many years ago.
Wow...I would definately read that book/comic or watch that web series. Quick, get your people to contact Disney and get that project started. 😁
Seriously, that sounds very interesting and much better than 99% of the 💩 currently coming from mouse's empire (excluding The Mandolorian, of course).
Jeez dude. Amazing writing idea!. I hope you are getting paid to write!
This could be a great start for a starwars universe similar to your futuristic wild west one!
Droid “Shepherd” that lost his flock. Great video. Great build as always.
I like the creative process with which you go from disjointed pieces to give definitive shape to figures that have artistic meaning and meaning.
On the other hand, the painting of the pieces seems to me of an astonishing realism. A great diorama. I congratulate you and encourage you to continue to amaze us with your imagination and artistic abilities. 👍😉
Absolutely love the paint job m8 ! Fantastic weathering with those washes.
This is one of my favourites so far. An epic 'scrap' build. Well done.
Really like your concepts Def got a unique style , plus that washed out paint enhancement.
Great work. Like it a lot. Love the colours. And how it all looks. Like the diorama.
I feel so sorry for Droids, they’re so used and abused! One Droid is an Appliance- a Million Droids- that’s a Nation! Superb Build!
Best
Came out wonderfully. Would love to see more Gundam kits on here, you could make some really cool dioramas and kitbashes.
I feel like he would be a monk wandering the universe trying to experience all that the galaxy has to offer
Great work, Jude...you are the dude.
Scrap droid was pretty good, too.
(Awesome work on both..🤘😊❤)
Wow 😮 that looks like a real model that’s awesome 👍
Good! Is an understatement!! 😎👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
It's amazing how from little pieces that normally would have no relation you can create something like this! 10/10
That’s very impressive, you must have one hell of an imagination!!! I don’t know your background but I could definitely see you working in the film industry, video games, board games like space Hulk, war hammer etc.....possibilities are endless mate!!! I’m not into anything like this and my creativity is in the building industry........but I love anything that’s creative. Definitely going to subscribe.
This looks so cool I've never seen anything like that great job
Love the guitar strings. I can see so many uses for them now. Learned lots of neat tricks.
I like the idea of someone turning an Astromech into some kind of Protocol droid, like they added the limbs and the staff being more less a walking stick for the droid.
Reminds me of my main man mister bones, love the design. I still find your ingenuity/creativity in your designs to be truly impressive, especially in your use of left over parts and bits of scrap
Definitely leveling up your painting and weathering! Awesome man.
Love it, what a great build.. I love that paint job you did, works so well.. you have definitely learned a lot from your research!
Awesome build! Thank you so much for including us!
Lost Scavanger Droid on Raxus Prime. Left behind by his reckless Masters?!
The model is beautiful, thanks for sharing
Incredible!!!!! I love the creativity as well as all of the makers contributions!
Wow! I think this is my favorite video you've done so far! Truly amazing!
"semi articulated droid hips..."
wait for it.
"...that do not lie."
There it is!
