They are really really good! But nothing new musically. Always good to see women taking over the industry tho. It reminds me a lot of old "Angra", Not sure if you know them.
What impresses me most about Lovebites is its completely relaxed style of playing. All the energy is transferred only to the instrument. I do not know what to say. This is outstanding. Honestly, I can't understand why this band isn't known worldwide? Anyone who has ever played the guitar, like me, knows how much training is necessary to be able to play like that. That must be tens of thousands of hours, for sure.

They play in Denmark at Roskilde Festival this year. And are in London, Paris, Milan, Lindau/Germany this June. Eventually more dates in Europe will be added to their tour schedule …

I think it is because metal music is seen as something originating from abroad so it is foreign and cool. Domestic bands have a perception of being lame by comparison.
Once I get over the shock of hearing this band for the first time, I may comment more. But how the hell is that drummer playing like this? She is truly awesome.
It's been 2 years and 3 months since I started listening to this band, I have been a fan since, and the songs continue to grow on me. I started listening while they were searching for the new Bassist, it has been an amazing journey since then. Thank you Lovebites.

I've been a drummer for 40 years and have seen so many different bands in my life, and every time I watch and listen to this band? all I can do is sit there with my mouth hanging open from the utter shock. @@salasdino4979 They are completely different. Akane is heavily jazz and funk influenced. I think she can play a wider range of styles. As a pure metal beast, Haruna is the best, better than the old drummers of Metallica and Maiden. It's just a matter of what you like.

Some says this is the best heavy metal band today, maybe ever. I do not know. They are good, scary good. But I am not so much for competition. There are lots of good musicians today and yesterday and probably also tomorrow. Two things I do know though. 1. I have never heard any live mixes as good as Lovebites mixes. 2. No one will ever be able to cover this faithfully. This locked in, totally in the pocket, band is not really possible. Its unreal. The drummer and the two guitars is a machine. They must be telepathic. Moreover the tone of Asami? How to copy that? They have replaced the bass, but it was not easy. Lovebites speed metal needs extreme precision. No sloppiness!

Here I was, blissfully ignorant of the fact there's an all-female speed metal band in Japan, and here they are selling out arenas and recording live DVDs. This was quite a discovery. They're absolutely incredible.

When I discovered this video a few months ago I was shocked then got mixed feelings. I was so happy to find this band like treasure in the mud and angry with myself as a native Japanese to take years to find the band. Lovebites bit me badly. What is worse is soon I learned Miho san was no longer with the band. It was pain like rubbing salt to the wound. I wish Miho san good luck with her new journey and am looking forward to Lovebites’ new era with the remaining members. Cheers!

If somebody ten years ago told me that best power metal band will be all female Japanese, I would say him that he is fool. Today it is reality. 80's classic power is still alive and may be is better then any time before. Thanks to this fantastic band. Songs from their new album are their best ever!

This is fucking awesome, the whole band is incredible. The drummer is a machine, her sound is like a massive solid blast. The guitars are amazing, the solo, even fast and difficult, sounds very clean, almost CD like, very, very impressive. The bass nails, the lines are not that simple at all, and give that extra heaviness to the sound, and the vocal lines are catchy, and the singer is very powerful. Japans at his finest.

I saw a clip from one of their music videos on mute, and I was extremely skeptical at first, but decided to check it out. I'm literally crying from excitement I am SO GLAD I LISTENED TO LOVEBITES. They're probably my new favourite band, and as a young girl into heavy music they're really really inspiring. Absolutely insane, every single one of them is incredible at what they do. \m/

I've been following Haruna and Miho since Destrose days. I was so sad when Haruna first left the band. But now she go back stronger, faster and more brutal.
From what I've heard working long term with Mina (founder and leader of Destrose) is nearly impossible, so much that when Miho and Haruna decided to form a bad together they searched for guitarists not only talented but who fit with them personally and ready to commit to the band (and I must said that they hit the jackpot).

Probably one of the best live performances I’ve seen. So many vocalists aren’t that good live. Her vocals are up there with Freddy Mercury when it comes to live performance. She’s incredible.
These women are masters of their instruments. Vocals are Soooo pure. Drummer is a baaaaaadass. Those 2 guitarist give all these bands a run for their money. Bass tone is perfect. Fucking awesome.
I really hope this amazing band to grow to a global level! To do that, we need to let many people know about them. Even in Japan they are not yet famous. Unless I'm wrong, maybe only metal fans know this band... I want many people to know more about them! I would appreciate it if the viewers would spread this band.

I wonder if anyone of the members of Lovebites has already watched yesterday's reaction of The Charismatic Voice (for those who don't know her, she's an opera singer) to this live-clip of "Holy War" - she obviously had a total blast and lots of very positive things to say about the music as well as the vocals. I hope there is more to come. Following the live-chat during the premiere, it seems people already got her interested in checking out the live-version of "Swan Song" plus the Chopin intro.

@@lioness.moon.goddesss2402 I think you are going to have a lot of fun with them! :) While there might be some few specific albums by other metal bands which I'd still rank slightly higher than any of the albums Lovebites have released thus far, I'd say they are now my favourite band and (based on their official live-DVDs) definitely my favourite live band! I've been listening to metal since 1984 and even though I'd say that Thrash Metal is still my favourite subgenre (also Lovebites have got some Thrash Metal songs), there are bands/albums from other subgenres I like as much or even more. You will find out that even though the majority of Lovebites' songs are played fast, they cover a range of different "old school" metal styles. When I first heard the studio version of "Holy War", which sounds a bit less raw than this live version, I had to think of Nightwish (it was not the entire song, but a few elements). By the way, are you open to suggestions? Unless you dislike the high-register vocals of Sharon den Adel, I'd recommend to check out the song "Threefold Law" (the original version, not the one from 2021!) by the Dutch band Nemesea, whose vocalist Manda Ophuis sounds very similar to Sharon, and if you should like it, check out the entire album "Mana". I've recently re-discovered this album, which I'd already bought and also enjoyed a lot back in 2005, and come to the conclusion that this is one of my favourite Symphonic Metal albums. "Mana" is a concept album, which conveys IMO an overall darker atmosphere and has a somewhat rawer guitar sound than other albums of this genre. It also features some additional male and female vocalists (both doing clean vocals) on several songs and some real strings. While I'm at it, for good vocals and strong melodies, check out the song "Winds of War" by the US Power Metal band Helstar and let me know what you think.

ファン歴3日の者です。ソロ前の「ホーーリー――ウォー――――！！！！」からビートを遅くする手法、これはメタラーにとっては大きな釣り針です(笑)

Some says this is the best heavy metal band today, maybe ever. I do not know. They are good, scary good. But I am not so much for competition. There are lots of good musicians today and yesterday and probably also tomorrow. Two things I do know though.
1. I have never heard any live mixes as good as Lovebites mixes.
2. No one will ever be able to cover this faithfully. This locked in, totally in the pocket, band is not really possible. Its unreal.
The drummer and the two guitars is a machine. They must be telepathic. Moreover the tone of Asami? How to copy that?
They have replaced the bass, but it was not easy. Lovebites speed metal needs extreme precision. No sloppiness!
are they arguably the greatest all female rock group on this planet,i think so,fantastic.

ルーチンワーク時にプロレスの入場曲を聴くことが多く、川田の「Holy War」をよく聴いてたんだが、、、関連動画で出てきたこちらの「Holy War」にブチのめされてLove Bitesのファンになりました。川田のHoly Warに冒頭若干にてるしww。しかしこの子らのアイアンメイデン並みのパワーに圧倒される。ライブというものが世の中に復活したら見に行きたいバンドの筆頭。多分おじさん泣くと思ふ。

Here I was, blissfully ignorant of the fact there's an all-female speed metal band in Japan, and here they are selling out arenas and recording live DVDs. This was quite a discovery. They're absolutely incredible.
There are a number of them. Plus female drummers and guitarist in other bands. Check out Yuki from D drive or the drummer Juno.
Check out band-maid. Not speed metal but damn good. Also destrose. bassist and drummer came from them.

曲のクォリティが素晴らしいのは勿論これはホントにliveなのかと思う演奏と音質。Rainbowを入口にデビュー時からIRON MAIDENと浜田麻里を追い、HELLOWEENが出てきた時に熱狂し、最近は昔の曲ばかり聴いている50代後半オヤジの血が騒ぎました。ツアー延期が幸いし、東京公演に滑り込めそうです♪
私53歳なので、少し先輩と思われますが、高校生の時メタルブームがあり多分似たようなのを聴いできたとおもわれますが、マイケルシェンカー、レインボーが入口でした。久しぶりにジャパニーズメタルそれも女性バンドに胸熱であります。なんというか彼女らの演奏に涙が出そうになる。歳ですかね〜
一世代下の若輩者です。80ｓメタル、ハードコアを聞きまくり、20年前から昔も曲を聴いてる中、何故か安室のガチパフォーマンスにハマるも引退、心に穴が開いた状態で数日前にlovebitesを発見しました。彼女らはどうやら私の心の穴を埋めてくれそうです。東京公演狙ってみます！

When I discovered this video a few months ago I was shocked then got mixed feelings. I was so happy to find this band like treasure in the mud and angry with myself as a native Japanese to take years to find the band. Lovebites bit me badly. What is worse is soon I learned Miho san was no longer with the band. It was pain like rubbing salt to the wound. I wish Miho san good luck with her new journey and am looking forward to Lovebites’ new era with the remaining members. Cheers!

If somebody ten years ago told me that best power metal band will be all female Japanese, I would say him that he is fool. Today it is reality. 80's classic power is still alive and may be is better then any time before. Thanks to this fantastic band. Songs from their new album are their best ever!

土台が欧州の伝統的な王道パワーメタル。
多くの日本の（ガールズ）バンドは「日本的な」ものを感じるのに対して、ラヴバイツは堂々と王道を行こうとしていると感じる。
それだけに実力が試されると思うのですが、凄いですわ。
5人でこのまま前に進んで欲しい。

This is fucking awesome, the whole band is incredible. The drummer is a machine, her sound is like a massive solid blast. The guitars are amazing, the solo, even fast and difficult, sounds very clean, almost CD like, very, very impressive. The bass nails, the lines are not that simple at all, and give that extra heaviness to the sound, and the vocal lines are catchy, and the singer is very powerful. Japans at his finest.

This is on another level entirely, a lot of bands would have trouble playing this in a Studio, and they are doing it live. Amazing.
No, they wouldn't. It's great songwriting( which, ultimately, is the only thing which sets bands apart). Any "Experienced" professional metal band, could play this equally well.Progressiveness and heaviness, is due to choice, not capability .Nothing, they play is technically difficult for an experienced "professional"
For example, mark knopfler of dire straits is 1 of, if not the most difficult Guitarist to replicate accurately and he plays classic rock

１ヶ月前にいつもチェックしている海外のロックリアクションUA-camrがこの動画を見て、おっさんぶったまげ、その直後にヴァーチャル・メタル・フェスト見てすっかりハマっちゃいました。ファンクラブなんて阪神タイガースしか入ってなかったのにLovebitesのファンクラブに即入会してAWAKE AGAINも拝見しました😁。Lovebitesはアルバムも良いけどライブが素晴らしすぎる！圧倒的なパワーとエナジーが魂揺さぶらせる⭐🎸🎸🎤🥁🎹🎸⭐。
衣装も今のがベストだね。
普通のライブ音源はどうしても逆立ちしても、サウンド面ではアルバムより落ちることを覚悟の上で聴くんですが、このアルバムというかムービー、ある意味アルバム音源と同等、もしくはそれ以上だと感じます！確固たる演奏力の裏打ちという事になりますが、そんなバンドは今まで出会ったことがありません。
それに加えて、更に美しい映像が加わっているわけですから本当に恐ろしいライブ映像だと恐れおののきます。
そういう事で・・・ｗ

Reasons was not reveaed.Some guessed personal reason, according her late tweets about her father, who died three years ago and her mood when playing certain song in the past. The band went on hiatus for the time being

ガールズバンドだと舐めてましたがUA-camのお勧めにしょっちゅう出でくるのでまあ観てみよかで知りましたけどスキルも高いしボーカルもレベル高いしビックリしたわ、また本格派メタルバンド過ぎてなおビックリですわ、レインボーとかメイデンを若い頃よく聴いたオヤジですがこのバンドはセンスがあるし世界でもやれる才能があるね。
決して女性を下に見てる訳では有りませんが、音だけ聴いてたら、とても女性陣が奏でてるとは思えませんよね。てっきりHRHMは男だけのもんと思てました。でも時代は変わりましたね。
最近のガールズバンドは男でも顔負けしそうなくらいかなりレベル高いですよね
これが入ってるDVDかBlu-rayは本当に買って良かったと思える作品です！ホーリーウォーに匹敵する神曲たくさんあります。もっといえば演奏されてない曲にも本当に良い曲が多くて是非皆さんにデビューアルバムから順番に聴いてほしい！

The Final Collisionあたりは、ガッチガチのメタルファン以外も引き込むキャッチーさもあるし、LOVEBITESならでは感もあるし。

最近、欧州公演の動画がアップされてますけど、どれだけ日本会場の音響、照明、演出が卓越しているか実感します。でも会場が劣悪でもパフォーマンスに手抜きないのはさすがです。
言っちゃ悪いですけど欧州の音響どこもひどかったっぽいですよね。素人の撮った動画からの情報しかないんであれですけど
しっかりした音響のとこで演らせてあげて、お客さんにも聴いて欲しいです

I saw a clip from one of their music videos on mute, and I was extremely skeptical at first, but decided to check it out. I'm literally crying from excitement I am SO GLAD I LISTENED TO LOVEBITES. They're probably my new favourite band, and as a young girl into heavy music they're really really inspiring. Absolutely insane, every single one of them is incredible at what they do. \m/

Back on the map? I mean, I adore Lovebites, but they are predated by lots of other great Japanese rock/metal bands. They are indeed fantastic though.
They are on the map since the early 80's, but we never got to hear them because corporations are greedy scumbags that promote crap for money. And many of us gulp down that crap. X-Japan were on the same level with Metallica to their own country.

全くです。そもそも、メタル系のシンガーはpower metalだったらpower metal、 thrash metal だったらthrash metal 一辺倒の人がほとんどで、Asamiさんのように、thrash/power metalから、symphonic系やblues hardrock power balladまで歌えるシンガーは見たことない(笑) 本当すごいね。

30年以上ヘビィメタルを聴いてきたが、この時代、こんなバンドがいる事に感動🥺素晴らしいパフォーマンス。
スタジオ録音よりライブの方が素晴らしく感じる！LOVEBITESのCDを聴いた後ライブ音源を聴く限り全く遜色ない、むしろライブ感がビジュアルでより強く感じる。いかに彼女たちのスキルが穎脱しているかの証明だろう。
マジで、このHoly Warはキラーチェーンだよね！マジでLovebitesを代表する一曲になったし、メタルバンドへのアンセムソングな感じで、マジで聴いてて気持ち良い❗️

I've been following Haruna and Miho since Destrose days. I was so sad when Haruna first left the band. But now she go back stronger, faster and more brutal.
From what I've heard working long term with Mina (founder and leader of Destrose) is nearly impossible, so much that when Miho and Haruna decided to form a bad together they searched for guitarists not only talented but who fit with them personally and ready to commit to the band (and I must said that they hit the jackpot).

疾走感、リフのヘヴィさ、ツインギターの活かし方、ただ速いだけでなくメロディアスなソロ、足開いて低く構えて頭振りまくるベース、ツーバスだからと、バスをバカみたいに連打せず、心地良く響かせるドラム、それらの音に負けないボーカル
ガールズバンドという事を抜きにしても、素晴らしいヘヴィネスさ
やっぱり、ヘヴィメタはこうでなきゃね
メンバーの魅力を存分に引き出しているカメラワークが評価できますね

These Musicians are incredible. These Women are masters at there instruments and I mean all 5. They are so talented its not even fair to other bands.. LOVEBITES is gonna be one of the all time best metal bands in history of metal. There just on a whole nother level. Anyone who knows about musicianship or Music period it dont get much better than this kinda of talent in one band. It actually probly the most talent in one band since Iron maiden, every one of them are discustingly good, lets not even talk about being in sync timing like nobodys business.

With Lovebites you're only scratching the surface. Best heavy metal band! I'm 55, lots of great venues, Iron Maiden, Megadeath, Metallica, you name it. But this young ladies are another level. Speaking of greek goddess, you should try The Hammer of Wrath official live video from Knochin' At Heavens's Gates, with new bassist , Fami. This band has hardrock songs, ballads, trash, prog, over 60 songs, all great.

Probably one of the best live performances I’ve seen. So many vocalists aren’t that good live. Her vocals are up there with Freddy Mercury when it comes to live performance. She’s incredible.

These women are masters of their instruments. Vocals are Soooo pure. Drummer is a baaaaaadass. Those 2 guitarist give all these bands a run for their money. Bass tone is perfect. Fucking awesome.

私も同じです。
全員のテクが超絶なのは見ての通り。それよりも良いのは、歌のメロディとギターソロのメロディが綺麗。ベースやドラムも言う事無しに良い。それから、メタルなのに白と金のドレス風の衣装やヒール、ナチュラルなメイクなのも良い。それにasamiさんやmihoさんの観客への呼びかけが敬語なのも良い。演奏時のヘッドバンクや変な動きが少ないのもクールで良い。演奏中の笑顔もとても良い。でもサウンドはガチでメタル！自分にとってはパーフェクトなバンドです。
ドラマとベーシストが世界と比較しても超絶！
ほんと、みんなに気がついて欲しい。
このドラマーさんと、ツインギターの休符に前に出てくるベーシスト、超絶スーパーテクニシャン。

"Hard" music had it's heyday in the 80's to early 2000's unfortunately, but their 100,000 true fans will always be there
I don't see them ever having much crossover appeal, tbh. They should just continue to focus on the established metal fanbase. There's a limit to how big they can get, but they can have a solid career.

Lovebites has probably the best guitar duo on the planet. Just jaw dropping what they can do together. Not that the rest of the band are any slouches.

最初はドラムの凄さに圧倒され、次にツインリードの華麗さに魅入られ、ベースとボーカルのレベルの高さにガツンとやられて…つまり全員凄くて曲もカッコいいということです。
全員がスタープレイヤーのレベルですからね。でも一番すごいのはそれが誰もぶつかり合わずに一つのサウンドとして高いクオリティを出していることとクラシックを基本とした作曲・編曲力じゃないでしょうか。ま、ドラムとベースだけで分厚いリズムセクションですからギターは2台ともリフとソロに専念できますから７・８人分の音を出してますよね。

Ive been into Metal for over 40 years. I can honestly say these Ladies have more talent than 95% of the people in the scene, Past, Present and Future! Only thing Im sad about is that I just now found them. Feel I missed out on some amazing music till now. This is a beautiful blend of old school and new metal! \m/\m/

Of course the girls on the guitars are great, but the chick with the voice is amazing! God she can sing.....she has great lungs. We also have to mention the bass and the skins !

Once again the Joe Lewis heavy weight karate champion said that Bruce Lee hit as hard as a heavy weight and everyone new he was faster than anybody in any class weight. BTW I agree with Kareem Abdul Jabar his friend and student that Tarentino's movie depiction of Bruce Lee was anti Asian RACIST. Chuck Norris was also a friend of Bruce. Most great martial artists in USA friends and Fans of Bruce.

I wonder if anyone of the members of Lovebites has already watched yesterday's reaction of The Charismatic Voice (for those who don't know her, she's an opera singer) to this live-clip of "Holy War" - she obviously had a total blast and lots of very positive things to say about the music as well as the vocals. I hope there is more to come. Following the live-chat during the premiere, it seems people already got her interested in checking out the live-version of "Swan Song" plus the Chopin intro.

I love them already, they're so cool & impressive, can't wait to see more ;)) i'm actually totally a Nightwish fan & rather picky with my music (esp metal - you need to give me some good vocals & strong melodies too), but i feel like this band could become my new (2nd) favourite... @@lioness.moon.goddesss2402 I think you are going to have a lot of fun with them! :) While there might be some few specific albums by other metal bands which I'd still rank slightly higher than any of the albums Lovebites have released thus far, I'd say they are now my favourite band and (based on their official live-DVDs) definitely my favourite live band! I've been listening to metal since 1984 and even though I'd say that Thrash Metal is still my favourite subgenre (also Lovebites have got some Thrash Metal songs), there are bands/albums from other subgenres I like as much or even more. You will find out that even though the majority of Lovebites' songs are played fast, they cover a range of different "old school" metal styles. When I first heard the studio version of "Holy War", which sounds a bit less raw than this live version, I had to think of Nightwish (it was not the entire song, but a few elements). By the way, are you open to suggestions? Unless you dislike the high-register vocals of Sharon den Adel, I'd recommend to check out the song "Threefold Law" (the original version, not the one from 2021!) by the Dutch band Nemesea, whose vocalist Manda Ophuis sounds very similar to Sharon, and if you should like it, check out the entire album "Mana". I've recently re-discovered this album, which I'd already bought and also enjoyed a lot back in 2005, and come to the conclusion that this is one of my favourite Symphonic Metal albums. "Mana" is a concept album, which conveys IMO an overall darker atmosphere and has a somewhat rawer guitar sound than other albums of this genre. It also features some additional male and female vocalists (both doing clean vocals) on several songs and some real strings. While I'm at it, for good vocals and strong melodies, check out the song "Winds of War" by the US Power Metal band Helstar and let me know what you think.
