I came back to this vid after watching fancams and proshots of her singing this at the forum in 2019 and she sounds even better there! She definitely honed her vocals a lot during the couple of years between this show and the forum. She probably sounded even better yet at 10 budokan in 2021 although I'm not sure if thats even possible haha. Can't wait for the bluray! Edit: yup, she actually sounds even better in the 10 budokan lives lol

They rely on touring to boost sales of their albums so without being able to tour they can't do much, unfortunately. At least they're most likely working on an album now as we speak! Edit: ok now it’s official official, Koba himself confirmed in an interview they’re here to stay!

I've seen Kiss several times (early on in their torpedo trajectory) , and Baby Metal embodies that showmanship, leaving it all out on the stage. I do hope they find 2 permanent co-vocalists before the next tour happens...I prefer the early incarnation vs the added dancers of 2019

That everything work on time is only possible, if the actors put their music exactly on the timecode. Usually it is the drummer who has an in ear plus so he can hear a 1/4 "tick-tack-tack-tack". The Music is live, the shor is "playback"

+Storfot Davey Havok did the same for their DU tour he would always yell sing to the crowd and hold up his mic and would pull off his ear piece for certain songs. Or he'll stop singing a certain part when the crowd is singing along, however despite being noise cancelling the earpieces actually playback the music they are currently playing to help give them que on when to remember to sing so when no music is playing they can hear.
+LJP MKS what they are wearing are ear monitors so they can hear themselves in the band mix and able to sing in correct pitch. Without it, they will deafened by the raw sound of the live band playing behind them. If you play in a rehearsal and hear the entire band up close and personal, even with a separate vocal P.A. you still won't be able to hear yourself sing or your volume is totally awash.
Clean vocals, great band, electrifying energy and stage presence all at a young age, and of course the crowd's participation . This band is truly made this live show a fucking spectacle. Incredible.
When I saw babymetal at Reading festival I was worried some people in the crowd might be mean because most of them were there to see Metallica and didn't know who Babymetal were. but omg they had everyone singing along. Not to mention the pits were huge. They somehow captivate any audience they are faced with. Safe to say I was very emotional, I love these girls so much.

The BM phenomena is so fascinating to watch! The marketing is brilliant! The talent of this entire band is off the chart! And the girls are so professional and on the mark. But Ive got to throw in that the drummer is mind blowing!
Yes the band is sick, choreographers, management team, the three girls, etc... Marketing really is brilliant. They have no pictures on their CD cases! All about the music, till you go to their live shows and witness or online.

Quite a few people (fans mostly, but a few pros) are comparing them to KISS for their stage presence. I think they have a little way to go to get to THAT level, but they are clearly more comfortable on stage now then they were even a year ago. In another year? Watch out!
The Kami Band has been comfortable on stage for quite a while longer than just this year. Check out their _Mischiefs of God_ intro for _Rondo of Nightmare_ from Budokan Black Night back in 2014.
THe first time I listen to The Beatles,, KISS , Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Rainbow, DIO, Van Halen, Scorpions, SAXON, Anthrax, Metal Church, MEGADETH, Iron Maiden, Carcass. etc, was awesome. Now I feel the same, for the first time in years. Thank you Babymetal.

What keeps blowing my mind is how they can run and jump around like they do and still have the breath control to stop in the middle of it and sing cleanly without sounding winded or losing control of their voice. If i go for a run and try to stop and sing in the middle of it i can barely sing a note and the notes i manage to produce sound forced as fuck. The physical shape they're in to be able to do all of that must be insane.
That plus the choreography. Don't know when but at one point they were waving flags completely in sync with one another while their backs were turned. They must rehearse each song like a thousand times.

New Babymetal fans don't know this. They think papaya is representive of Babymetal. I personally don't like their new material. But they are more successful now.

She didn't leave due to illness. Illness just kept her from a few live shows. But the reason behind Yui leaving was cause she wanted to pursue other ventures in her career.

I've seen Kiss several times (early on in their torpedo trajectory) , and Baby Metal embodies that showmanship, leaving it all out on the stage. I do hope they find 2 permanent co-vocalists before the next tour happens...I prefer the early incarnation vs the added dancers of 2019

pFalse. That not about Talent. In music industry this is calles "timecode". That menas the full show (light, Pyro, effects etc.) are pre-programmed. That everything work on time is only possible, if the actors put their music exactly on the timecode. Usually it is the drummer who has an in ear plus so he can hear a 1/4 "tick-tack-tack-tack". The Music is live, the shor is "playback"

+JacobLikesKpop Interesting fact: Unfortunately, they cannot hear the crowd at all (though they can SEE the crowd's reaction). It was mentioned by them in an interview. Watch the video again. They have noise-cancelling ear pieces in BOTH ears.
+LJP MKS They have started pulling out one of their ear pieces for this part and other times that they want to hear the crowd! :)
+Storfot Davey Havok did the same for their DU tour he would always yell sing to the crowd and hold up his mic and would pull off his ear piece for certain songs. Or he'll stop singing a certain part when the crowd is singing along, however despite being noise cancelling the earpieces actually playback the music they are currently playing to help give them que on when to remember to sing so when no music is playing they can hear.
+LJP MKS what they are wearing are ear monitors so they can hear themselves in the band mix and able to sing in correct pitch. Without it, they will deafened by the raw sound of the live band playing behind them. If you play in a rehearsal and hear the entire band up close and personal, even with a separate vocal P.A. you still won't be able to hear yourself sing or your volume is totally awash.

When I saw babymetal at Reading festival I was worried some people in the crowd might be mean because most of them were there to see Metallica and didn't know who Babymetal were. but omg they had everyone singing along. Not to mention the pits were huge. They somehow captivate any audience they are faced with. Safe to say I was very emotional, I love these girls so much.

Aside from the awesome singing and music, the band's stage presence and the audience's energy are intoxicating.
Quite a few people (fans mostly, but a few pros) are comparing them to KISS for their stage presence. I think they have a little way to go to get to THAT level, but they are clearly more comfortable on stage now then they were even a year ago. In another year? Watch out!
The Kami Band has been comfortable on stage for quite a while longer than just this year. Check out their _Mischiefs of God_ intro for _Rondo of Nightmare_ from Budokan Black Night back in 2014.

This is so unlike a traditional rock/metal band, where only 1 or 2 persons will create the song.
+LunaEclipse45 Its the work division, traditional band are self-made guy who get sucess, we expect them to be showman compose play and sing....but this band is produced in japan at a Professional level... its an other way to do music, all is think at all level. they have dedicated people for each task, , choregraph for crownd and dancer, song writer, pro musicians, pro idols, excellent com, photograph, i was stunned in festival, that was the only band who pushed so far the preparation:, instruments, video, music, distance on floor, all was checked during 30min.

What keeps blowing my mind is how they can run and jump around like they do and still have the breath control to stop in the middle of it and sing cleanly without sounding winded or losing control of their voice. If i go for a run and try to stop and sing in the middle of it i can barely sing a note and the notes i manage to produce sound forced as fuck. The physical shape they're in to be able to do all of that must be insane.
That plus the choreography. Don't know when but at one point they were waving flags completely in sync with one another while their backs were turned. They must rehearse each song like a thousand times.
