This is my 1st listen to Lovebites. the drummer looks sweet and innocent but she went at those drums like a serial killer on coke fueled murderous rampage. The singer gave me Dio vibes and guitars were a cross between Metallica and Dreamtheater.

The band is also going on hiatus. With COVID still spreading rampantly, also in Japan, is hitting hard on everybody. For musicians, not being able to tour or even hold shows locally, it must be hitting very hard on them. I hope that they are going to be able to hold on tight and come back soon.

But if they had wanted to give a more specific public reason, it would have been stated in one of the statements. Like Daniel said above, it's probably best not to make any assumptions about why she left. She felt it was the right decision and I respect her decision to move on. Regardless, I think the band has a very bright future. :)

As many commentators have rightfully pointed out, Haruna's drumming is just insanely good. The speed, the precision, the creativity, constantly using all those drums and cymbals on her kit... and yet, what strikes me every time I hear her play is how there never seems to be even ONE superfluous note in her drumming, nor any missing. Despite all the craziness that's going on, it always leaves me feeling that every single note she hits just NEEDS to be exactly where she puts it, just because the music demands it that way. No exaggeration, no showing off ... super impressive!
Said it many times all the princesses are great but Haruna is a little more special. Often in the car I am just blown away by some little thing she did. My favorite current drummer.

It's a crime that this music video does not have 100+ million views. Totally amazing talent from these beautifully presented young ladies. I've been listening to rock music since the 1970s and have seen Deep Purple, Led Zep, Heart, Fleetwood Mac, AC/DC, RHCP and many other iconic rock bands live, but this live performance just blew me away. Good luck in the USA. I hope you play in the UK again in the future.

元々このバンドは,destroseが活動休止時に、mihoさんがharunaさんを誘ってlovebitesが始まったと聞いてます。そのスタートの人が抜けるなんて…。最近のバンドの曲は、ヘヴイメタルと言うより、メロディックなパワーメタルになってきたのが、原因なのかな？
日本のバンドの多くは、オリジナルメンバーが脱退すると即解散的な流れが多いけど、外国のバンドは新しいメンバーを入れて再スタートする事が多いから、新たな女性ベーシストを加えての再スタートに期待したいですね。

It's a crime that this music video does not have 100+ million views. Totally amazing talent from these beautifully presented young ladies. I've been listening to rock music since the 1970s and have seen Deep Purple, Led Zep, Heart, Fleetwood Mac, AC/DC, RHCP and many other iconic rock bands live, but this live performance just blew me away. Good luck in the USA. I hope you play in the UK again in the future.
I agree. Various nostalgic melodies endlessly and seamlessly change shape, making it feel like a story. The lyrics are also positive and wonderful.
