I know this is an 11 year old video, but it is exactly what I needed! I just bought a Sodastream Jet (on sale for $39 Canadian) after seeing a large bottle of Perrier for $3.39 Canadian (outrageous!). I look forward to making lots of sparkling water, though I will probably avoid chemical additives and stick to simple things like freshly squeezed lemon juice.
Just bought one the other day at Target; definitely needed a visual guide from someone who is not an actor! :) Thank you for a wonderful video; I love my SodaStream as well and the bubbles are phenomenal!

I can press the button 20 times and still not get that much fizz (I bought a used one on craigslist, mind you). Looks like I need to refill my canister or deal with it!
@Mega12345678933 Hand tightening should work-I use what I'd consider a normal amount of pressure when I add the bottle. There's is an air noise before it starts to buzz. My understanding is that it shouldn't take more than a few quick presses of the button before you hear the buzz. SodaStream should be able to help if you think you have a bad carbonator.
I thought the flavor was installed in the machine too so you just pressed a button and it mixed the co2 and the flavor, this is quite a bit of work just to have a drink
Finally bought a jet now that they are on clearance. Just tried it for the first time and we did 7 short bursts of co2 and it never did buzz, and it was under carbonated. Any tips? Maybe we need to hold the button down longer each time?
Did the issue resolve? Got mine yesterday and it clearly leaks CO2 after pressing the button. Sodastream that I had before did not do this and managed to carbonate water with 2-3 pushes while this one take over 7 pushes and never gets properly carbonated.

i have recently bought 1 . I have tried about 5 times , on the 4th it was really fizzy and kept the fizz even after opening the bottle on several occasions . Then i did it again ,and was not so fizzy ,and i cant see what i did differently on the occasion i succeeded,but i will keep trying.

I have Sodastream jet, purchased 5-6 months ago. it leaks when i push the pressure button and doesn't release gas when I lift the bottle a little bit, it results very weakly carbonated water for some reason, I have to push the button 6-7 times to get good carbonation ... Does anyone here know what can cause this problem? i tried looking in forums but not helpful at all. Yes I tried changing the canister but no good luck

Mine never makes the loud buzz sound. Is it broken? I've done 5 short bursts now, and I am afraid to continue, as the bottle could burst.

Marissa Case Keep on going. You should here it within 5-8 presses! Then go for 3 buzzes.

Did i mess up because i used unsweetened syrup but it tastes bad is it that or is it the carbonated water?
It's a personal preference, but I don't like unsweetened carbonated beverages myself. That might be it.
Does this cola genuinely taste as good as the top brand cola?
