If I remember correctly, the creature’s costume was finished and on set, there were several test shoots before the creative director said he wanted a new suit.
@@PR-xm5zc yeah dumb ass thought the red was the finished suit. Not the need to make it red because they couldnt use green or blue colour for CG work There is behind the scenes footage of the suit …looks very strange…very happy they changed it. It changed the film from a b-movie to a classic
its's pretty cool that each super predator has a unique helmet design and personality: for example the tusked predator is named "tracker" who is basically the dog handler, the one with the robotic drone is named "falconer who is basically the one that scouts out for prey while surprisingly being the most honorable out of the others. And finally the leader is named "berserker" aka "Mr black". he's pretty much the no nonsense kind of guy who would turn you into pulp while saying "i don't give a crap about honor" this is one of the reasons why i personally love this movie: the predators are just awesome here
Berserker is exactly what’s wrong with this film. The predators don’t act like this and they don’t hunt game with animals bc it’s seen as cheap. Hell they make their own helmets and guns specifically so they can use them without feeling like they are cheating and they hunt animals on their own planet specifically so their prey has the environmental advantage to balance the predators technology making the fight more fair. That’s why the predator cloaks and just watches, bc they put themselves in such a disadvantaged state that fighting without analysing first would get them killed. Want proof? Predator 2. The predator realises the humans are ambushing him so he sits back and he just watches to make a plan and even then he nearly dies even with the tech. In the first predator movie, the Yautja abandons his technology when confronting Dutch bc now his technology is putting him at an unfair advantage compared to everything beforehand. So he gets rid of his weapons and his helmet and chooses to fight Dutch in a brawl where he loses. Hell he only blew himself up bc he can’t risk humans getting his technology. There is NO fucking way a dishonourable berserker predator would get in any kind of power without the mass populace preventing it. Even if a predator who acts like mr. Black could exist, none of the other predators would allow it or hunt with them. They can’t exactly hunt on earth after predator 2 but that don’t explain why they’d team up and hunt disadvantaged humans on a planet with animals hunting as well Edit: the replies to this are bullshit. 1.) bad bloods don’t exist. They were made up for this movie to make sense. They realistically wouldn’t exit in Yautja culture. 2.) if these were dishonourable then why were honourable ones amongst them? Hm? The fact that honourable ones were still around them to try and revolt yet were getting killed as they tried proves that the honourable Yautja were barely trying to do anything to stop bad bloods from existing. This means they probably didn’t even know they were bad blooded so how tf could a group of bad bloods be kicked from the clans if apparently the clans didn’t even know they existed. 3.) if they’re hunting dishonourably bc they are dishonourable then why the fuck are honourable Yautja even amongst them. God this movie sucks. Sure it’s better than the predator 2018 but shit is still shit Edit 2: stop bringing up the comics from the 90’s you mindless idiots. The comic is literally just called bad bloods. It shares zero similarities to the 2010 movie bc bad bloods didn’t exist. They were regular predators who hunted with xenomorphs. The concept in 2010 is a retcon. None of you have actually explained why there’s a clan of bad bloods yet the honourable are in this clan. The entire concept of a bad blood doesn’t make any remote sense whatsoever in lore. None. Bc predators had very few rules for honour and hunting, sure they didn’t kill those without weapons or pregnant women but that was for the sake of preventing wiping out the species or to prevent boredom. Bad bloods don’t make any sense bc there is literally nothing you can do to become a bad blood. A predator would literally need to kill other predators to be a bad blood. But that’s not why they’re bad bloods in this movie. Apparently it’s bc they’re dishonourable but predators aren’t honourable. They’re prideful. Bad bloods are a shitty retcon and you’re stupid for trying to argue otherwise.
@@zzodysseuszz you do realize that they are part of a blood feud right? which means these 3 aren't the only bad bloods out there. heck there are bad bloods in the comics aswell, there's even a type of predator that's meant to hunt down these bad bloods. this means there are probably many like mr black out there so there's a chance of there being many hunting parties that share their philosophy
@@zzodysseuszz dude, you didn't read the lore, berserker is a bad blood, he's a dishonorable predator, it's why he's not with a clan, probably got kicked😆
I never heard of people disliking this film. It is pretty great, campy yes, but in a great kind of way. I love it. .... The Predator on the other hand... Nah. Burn. Fire. DELETE. That movie makes AVP: Requiem into a good movie.
The concept was pretty neat, and the first AVP movie is underrated, but i cannot say i like "Predators" it was to over the top for me. Especially because Robert Rodriguez said in a interview i read, "Those who have seen my movie will forget the first two Predator movies and there will be only my Predator movie in the end" May have been intended ironically, but i can't stand that kind of arrogant shit, sorry. And Oscar winner Adrien Brody deserves better. Like Christoph Walsz in Battle Angel Alita. Completely underwhelming for his acting skills.
Here on the internet it is actually pretty common to hear about people not liking an old movie but never actually finding these people from the time they are new to now. With new movies however it is common to often hear about people liking a movie but never actually finding the people who liked it. If you do find the people who liked the movie it is common to not survive your encounter.
The concept of some yautjas betraying their own honor code by having the name *bad blood* just for the sake of Twisted action which bring out the normal to hunt them down was such an unique aspect of this underrated film and the species Shame they don't use the Berserkers more often
It is fantastic, the idea of the yuatja not being a homogenous hunting culture with different philosophies. The first two movies and the comic tied into the sequel were one philosophy, setting up in a conflict and observing to find a worthy "alpha" to take a trophy from. The first one in a typical jungle filled with automatic weapons fire and humans hiding anywhere, the second one in a city with plenty of places to hide and recharge stealth field but humans EVERYWHERE, and the one that had the flintlock pistol... ballsy as fuck. Crouched on the madt of a pirate ship near the crow's nest long enough to become a gjost story to the crew. Then you have these bad bloods. They're the rich guys. They're the hunting reserve hunters. Even the last movie, where a yuatja is trying to give tech to the humans (human weeb faction) and the genetic alterationist provide some insight to the varying philosophies of the yuatja. Thar's why I don't have hope for the next movie. I just can't imagine the yuatja having any interest in humans who still use stones toed to sticks.
Bad Bloods have been in the books since the 90s. They are a rare occurrence in their culture. Less than 5% of Yautja turn into Bad Bloods. There was a clan of Bad Bloods that used tech to forceably control Xenomorphs.
Bad blood preds have been around for a while in books and comics, way before this movie even came out. Thats probably where they got the idea from and only ONE of these preds is called Berserker(The leader) Berserker isn't the name of this group
Predator 2 rips off the original and still works ok. This movie is just cringe-bad with no real story or writing still its better than AVP REquium not that that is a complement
I watched the movie for the first time a few days ago, and i actually found it cool that the predator took the inmates spine and skull, because they only do it as a sign of respect basically saying that their opponent fought well enough to be kept as a trophy
It makes sense. The inmate tried to shank a superior foe. Knowing he'd fail but he still tried. Have to respect that courage. And the fact he did injure the predator just adds to the respect
Yeah I honestly don't know why this movie gets a lot of hate. It doesn't destroy the lore and I'm pretty sure that if audiences got a movie like this today instead of the Predator from 2018 it would be winning Awards LOL
I agree. A collection of warriors/killers against a likewise variety of Yautjas was a great concept. Plus, it makes sense after the fact. Predator Hunting Grounds reveals that the Predators were getting caught and killed more on Earth after the events of Predator 2 so it stands to reason that they would come up with a new method of hunting humans. Plus, it brings an AA12 to a Predator Movie. That automatically gives it brownie points.
I honestly would enjoy a Predator movie of just predators. No dialog, no verbal narration, just a visual feud of how and why these Tribes are so against each other.
I'd like to see Zatoici vs. Pedator. The fact that fan-made trailer didn't have Hollywood clambering to make it just shows how racist they are against the Japanese.
I think the scene where Mahershala Al's character say's "I know because I have done this" had thematic significance. It ties into the theme that this is basically hell and they kind of deserve this.
2 years later. I ABSOLUTELY agree. Walton carried this show based on the fallout universe. It was absolutely garbage. But walton made it bearable somehow.
I haven't seen the 2018 movie but I have seen a review of it and....I want to see it but at the same time, I don't. I am looking forward to Prey that should be out in a few days or it's out now.
I watched this with my family on my birthday after I got the film on DVD and it's pretty impressive! I liked the part where Isabelle, played by Alice Braga from I Am Legend and The New Mutants, tells Royce and the others the story of something like this actually happened back on Earth in 1987, where a Spec Ops team went into Guatemala, high end into jungle, there was one survivor, writing in his report "they came in contact with something not from this world." My dad and I looked at each and said, "Dutch." I had goosebumps hearing that story.
They already did that in predator 2 but it was a way larger “oh shit!” Moment bc the movie was actually good and the predator held actual weight in that movie and wasn’t over saturated to death like in 2010 predators
@@zzodysseuszz nothing compared with the 2 original Predator movies, they are classics, but from the new batch of Predator movies, Predators is the best of them all.
Yautja honor basically comes down to 2 things if you're prey. If you're a worthy hunt they take your skull and adorn themselves with it. If you prove worthy beyond that they let you live (potentially to be hunted again) they don't hunt the sick or pregnant or injured unless they caused it (injury). Lastly if you fall in combat it is your responsibility to eradicate any trace of you or your technology (don't interfere with the technological or natural development of the prey species as this can make for a better hunt in the future.
There's one thing you are missing - IF you are an unworthy hunt - you get skinned, with nothing taken from you. Seen through out the films, not every person was taken as a trophy - died to easily, walked into traps etc - proved unworthy.
Yeah like how bezerker is fucking crazy and fights the regular yaijuta, eagle is still honorable and is respectful of predator tradition to fight the Yakuza boss on equal grounds, and the last predator being a dog trainer or animal tamer as the muscle because he took some blows
I liked this movie. The first time I watched it I was surprised when it was revealed that Topher Grace’s character is a serial killer but after watching it again, there are several subtle (and not so subtle) hints
"jail tag" was something we did back in grade school recess.... the whole grade.... all +/-60 of us boys vs girls... it was chaos, buttons from our uniforms flying everywhere, mud all over the place, screaming, pandemonium, distressed nannies it was amazing XD
My first watching, I thought the "Super Predators" were females since it's been stated in a few lore sources that female Yautja are larger than the males and I assumed that the Yautja they hunted were bad bloods that they had captured.
Female predators aren’t larger they’re actually similar to humans in that regard big mama was an exception. And like I said when it comes to appearance and sexual dimorphism yautja are just like humans. Females are smaller and have mammalian milk glands. Even though they’re technically direct descendants of synapsids “mammal like reptiles/early mammals”.
@@lemongrab6173 just gonna copy and paste what it says for them from an official source: "The size and shape of female Predators have been a bit inconsistent throughout Predator lore. The first descriptions in the AvP: Prey book and the Deadliest of the Species comic hinted that female Predators are bigger than males and might not have any female features like breasts and mammary glands at all. Later inclusions in the Predator: Hunting Grounds game, Predator: Stalking Shadows, and Aliens vs. Predators: Ultimate Prey book described them as about the same height as males, being more agile and lean, and having breasts that were covered in armor. Their heads have been shown to be narrower, with smaller eyes and longer dreadlocks. The Female Predator's height has been about 2-2,5 meters, depending on the individual. The following is a list of all known female Predators, both from the old and new Yautja lore."
Fun Fact Alteori at 8:11 when Mombasa is looking at the trees, The Predator (Mr.Black) is seen in near invisibly in the opening sky hole by the left middle of the tree. I discovered this when someone on Reddit mentioned & showed it. I seen this movie many times since 2010, and never freakin caught it until two years ago! 😲
@@Alteori but it’s crazy how perfectly invisible it is compared to Jungle Hunter’s cloaking. It’s like a blink & you’ll miss it moment, but once discovered is so mind blowing & awarding. 😁
I know it's been over a year later but you can see THE THREE OF THEM! The one you pointed out, the other is at the top to the left and the third is at the top to the right, all of them in the sky holes!
Falcon, Berserker, and Tracker. Those yautja are some of the most intimidating aliens I've seen, especially with the jungle hunter getting decapitated. Also in a few days I think a Predator movie called Prey is coming out
@@yandereskitty Only because of when the movie takes place. Even after watching it I'm not sure I believe only 2 Native American hunters would've been able to take a Predator down, even if it is the species' first time being on Earth
I love this movie , watched it when it came out , even bought the DVD version . Everyone I knew liked it too . Even if The plot twists were predictable, the movie was very fun and structured. I still wish they made a sequel for it.
These super predators were actually dishonorable pricks. And were on the run from their home world. Which makes me believe classic predator was a tracker or a type of Marshall. (Edit) read through the comments and confirmed the old conversations about the film. They are called Bad Blood and are the worst of their species. Chalk up Abduction on their list
Yeah in the prequel comics Noland killed one of the predators from the crucified predators group. He got the jump on this one by lighting it on fire but the bad bloods found them and noland left and the bad blood took the predator to their camp. Imma guess the skull in their camp was the third one.
@@Wollvzz I wanna know and see more about the enforcers, like are they a clan of enforcers or individual members of various clans? How does one become an enforcer? Who do they answer to, The Council of Ancients?
@@BSM-vw6cf the only enforcer like pred we’ve seen so far is wolf from avp requiem, was sent a distress signal from the ship that crashed, and was sent to go handle the situation, getting rid of the evidence, killing the predalien
Dishonorable, not necessarily out casts, they just don’t hunt by the rules and are punished for it, hence why they’re on a different planet, banished from yautja prime lol
@@Wollvzz They are kind of outcasts. Yautja send special hunters to track down and dispose of these type of guys. You break the Yautja code of honour, you're not just an outcast you're also a dead man (or Yautja) walking.
Besides the OG Predator this is my favorite in the franchise. I love the reversed setting of the humans being hunted on an alien planet and I enjoyed all the characters. I also liked the intro of other races of Predators and they how they hunt differently. Also The Prisoner (Walt Goggins is the actors name) has one of the best lines in the franchise when shanking the Berserker Predator.
Robert Rodriguez made a highly entertaining action flick. There's no greater meaning other than bunch of hard ass guys battling far superiorly armed opponents.
The best part about this sequel is it treats the audience with respect by showing instead of telling and keeping things from the character's perspective. The reason the African guy says what he does about the trap with Danny Trejo is to show that he is actually a cold killer even though he is one of the seemingly nicest guys in the group. The part with Topher Grace and him not mentioning why or how the toxic flower is there makes sense once it's revealed he is a serial killer because he doesn't want to seem too smart. The whole structure is very much a love letter to the original movie but it has an interesting sharper edge to it as opposed to the delicious cheese that the first 2 had.
honestly I thought Edwin didn't tell anybody about the flower was a power trip. like as a serial killer he wanted to be the smartest person in the room and get off on knowing something the others didn't. also to add even more layers to his character, when Alice Braga is about to kill herself during the hound scene Edwin yells no. so from the first time he met her that was his tag. he didn't want her to kill herself so he'd be able to kill her. then later on Edwin gets injured and it hints that he's not at all a nice guy when he tries to pass Nikolai's picture of his kids as his own kids. pretty dope foreshadowing that I can't help but dig when watching this flick
I just watched this with my husband. He loves predators. I love aliens (xenomorphs). I liked this movie. My husband was gushing over the fight of the Japanese guy. He liked how the predator respected the Japanese way of fight. He respected that how he fights.
16:47... there's something so hilarious and yet abusive about that lol. Got introduced after I watched Primal and was looking for youtubers who covered it and found this channel. Now binge watching loads of your reviews!
This is, BY FAR, my favourite Predator movie! It was just a really fun movie to watch…I was entertained from start to finish, and they caught me off guard at points where I finally thought I knew what was going on…and that’s always fun for me. PS - It was also nice to see someone of the same racial background as me since there aren’t a whole lot of Japanese or Japanese-American actors out there. I don’t expect most people to understand what I mean, but when you rarely see someone on the silver screen that looks like you, it’s pretty awesome when you finally do. 😁
Ikr and I really loved his character. The actor looks mixed with Japanese though. I can definitely see Japanese but he looks mixed with something else. I might be wrong but if not then there's double representation kinda like The girl who plays gamora is Dominican/black Hispanic and Puerto Rican I think. However, depending on how she does her hair or her makeup, she can identify it as different ethnicities. Ethnicities. That's what being an actor is all about. You can play a part if you can simply just pass as the character and it's beautiful! I just hope they don't do another one of those numbers they did with Brad Pitt with the Jamaican accent because that was just horrible 🤣
@@Alteori Maybe if you were in some scenario like this pet his head and aim the gun at the back of his head without pressing it to his head like have the gun close to the back of his head. Then pet his head rub his head and pull the trigger 13:03 - 13:14.
Since the doctor guy is an antisocial serial killer type, it does make sense that he wouldn't be acting strange about the plant. He's holding his cards close to the chest on purpose, using people and their ignorance against them. He may have been curious at the time, or even a bit worried, but he doesn't know the whole picture/situation yet, so he's biding his time and plotting as he goes. The rest of them are unlikely to recognize that the plant is long extinct, and that knowledge isn't really necessary for them to know. But by telling them it can paralyze, and saving the Russian, he's gaining a pal.
I think there was a follow up comic where the survivors were given some extra weapons custom made for them since they were "propa prey to hunt and fighit"
As someone who has been a long time Predator fan and knows a couple others, this movie is generally well liked. Nobody really HATES it, most of us think its somewhere between decent or the 2nd best movie in the series. I really like it. It finally brought back the mystery and intimidation while respecting the original.
There's actually a comic follow up in which we see that the Predators send stronger and stronger beasts for Royce to hunt, until they finally send him custom Predator gear usable by a human. And then they send a frickin 4-armed Yautja that he has to kill lol. Isabelle ends up getting a small ship to get back to earth, but Royce stays behind, accepting that he's a killer, through and through, and that that's what he loves doing.
Roughly @17:00 : loved hearing about your malicious sense of fun, Alte! Ha ha! P.S. For what I'm sure is the ten millionth time... you've got a great laugh, too! ☺️
Either this movie or the first Predator movie was the first Predator movie I ever watched when I was young. I really wished there was another sequel for this movie, because most things have been left out or more things could have been added to the movie. I know that there’s a comic that is like a sequel to the movie but it’s not on the big screen. I feel like a nerd after saying all of this.
Nah. You’re insane. Predator 2 was the best, better character writing too. Predator 2010 would be the worst if the new ones didn’t exist. The movie is bland drooling shit.
I've been a fan of this movie for a long time but I've kept it to myself because not a single one of my bastard friends have an interest in monster movies but thank the heavens for this channel
It sure wasn't groundbreaking as part of the franchise, but I liked the concept of the most dangerous people and creatures being sent on this planet to be challenged by the Yautja; the dynamic between society's outcasts was also a breathe of fresh air, despite how the finale turned out. That "dinner" Stan (Walton Goggins) was looking forward to is just pure gratification - at the expense of another person, of course. You laughing like a hyena in response to this made me wish I could cuddle with the hand-drawn avatar.
The Berserker Predator is my favorite, he's so badass and cool looking, thank you for making this video and as always, have a fantastic rest of your day!
The first time I watched this movie I was staying with my grandparents for the summer (I used to do it all the time, but my Grandma passed so I live with my Grandpa to help him), I came for Danny Trejo, and I stayed for the Predators, I always enjoyed it, but watching this video leaves me feeling like it was even better than I thought, thank you alteori.
Predators shouldn't be hated as much. It didn't kill the franchise. The Predator on the other hand (vomit inducing film) killed the franchise and not AVPR. Not even the display case in the movie referencing past movies was not justifiable enough to be make it not suck.
Also canonically speaking, the head Super Predator; The Bezerker/Mr. Black; is apparently skilled enough to take down a Xenomorph. The jaw bone and teeth strapped to his helmet are the bottom mandible of a Xenomorph.
Loved the JP vibes from this movie, it really did a better job at scifi horror than ANY of the follow up JP movies. My all time favorite part Alteori, was when Lawrence Fishburns character sing songs "....run away....live to fight another day. I'm the one who got away. The one you don't FUCK with 😈" thanks for covering this gem! Hope the movie is going well
Yo real talk. Really good defense of the movie. I've always liked this more than other folks. You have a really good vibe, and I enjoyed my time with your content. New sub for sure.
Just a thought about the plant…since there are pharmacological & anesthetic properties to this plant, i could see this plant being in pharmacology & anesthesiology texts even if it’s extinct. If you couple that with his supposed medical background, it really didn’t feel unrealistic to me…but I can also see how it could come across as unrealistic. 😁
Hey you! 😀 But for real how would he know that? How would we know about the pharmaceutical properties of a plant that hasn't been in existence for over 100 million years? I mean I'm not a doctor so maybe I'm just confused because I'm a layman. Unless they have something close to it...
@@Alteori I have a theory it's because the doctor guy is a serial killer maybe he paralyzes his victims before he kills them he could have come across the plant while doing research into plants that have a paralyzing affect.
@@Alteori there can be some ways to glean some clues about prehistoric and long extinct plants and animals. Usually by examining unusual and unexpected findings in the things they effect. I don't know about the real world extinct plant, and whether or not its actually been discovered that such a plant was able to induce paralysis, which may have just been added in to give more context to the alien world they were on, but there are certainly some plants we have found from ages ago. Studying such things is potentially useful for his job, but also for his extracurricular activity as a serial killer. Many serial killers are a bit dumb and just lucky, while others are very smart, and most have a particular method they enjoy (the MO). This doctor guy, being a doctor, may spend a lot of his free time examining different types of plants or what not and their ancestral DNA in his free time, to better understand the effects more so for his hobby than his day job.
Am I the only one who just realized the subscribers info under Alteori name, because i know it was not there the last time i watched a vid. Congrats on 500k + sub girl. keep up the good work
Thanks ugh, I really wish UA-cam would have kept it hidden. And they decided to make it public for the stupidest reason which makes no sense. People have a verified check mark to tell that they're real. So why do we need to reveal our sub count? It's so dumb 😂
I agree, Predators 2010 is underrated. Exploring the Yautja lore from the comics of bad bloods and Beserker how he kidnapped all the people. The movie is good for it talking about the bad bloods lore. The bad blood trio was dope, all I know is that Wolf predator (from AVP Requiem) would absolutely want to battle Beserker, and in my opinion wolf would probably win due to his ranking and has ton of experience. But indeed this film is underrated, to bad Royce and Isabelle didn’t make it out alive in the comics
@@RandomMackem0069_Official I mean wolf isn’t just an elite he has done many many things that Beserker hasn’t done yet. Beserker literally almost lost against a crucified predator that was hung up injured for like weeks or months or even more. I don’t think Beserker would really have a chance against wolf, I mean sure Beserker is strong and durable. But since Beserker isn’t going to fight fair to no one just with his weapons mostly, wolf would absolutely have the advantage due to his weapons that are more lethal and better than Beserker weapons
@@RandomMackem0069_Official my guy if your talking about fighting with weapons wolf has the advantage, his weapons are way more dangerous than Beserker, don’t downplay wolfs weapons, if your talking about hand to hand combat it would be different. But wolf would still win against Beserker. And AGAIN what makes you think Beserker is going to be a “tough” fight for wolf when Beserker literally almost lost against a crucified predator?
There actually is a deleted scene where Royce confronts the doctor on why he was thrown in with a bunch of killers. He says he’s a surgeon and takes medication. He accidentally overdose and the staff had to restrain him because he cut people open with his scalpel. This would have made the twist of him being a serial killer more impactful because it goes from mistaken identity to intentional targeting as why the Predators took him.
At least it didn't try to make Autism into a superpower/next stage of human evolution like the movie that came after it in the series. So in that sense, yes it is not too bad.
Kind of a guilty pleasure movie for me. :) I like the setting, the whole idea, and also this walking stereotypes in action. And: I like this Human-Predator Coop in AvP, too.
Predators is easily my favorite Predator movie after the original, saw it twice in theaters and gladly own a Blu-ray copy. Never was a fan of Predator 2, and as for The Predator, well the less we talk about that, the better.
Most predators live till the thousand to two thousand, that specific planet is for bad bloods, aka predator criminals. That game preserve is one of many.
Neat fact. The bug-like thing the humans manage to kill using the surgeon guy as bait was actually based on the original design for the Predator before the creature was completely redesigned. There was some early scenes shot with an actor (who turned out to be Jean Claude Van-Dam) in a bright orange suit shaped like the creature, and a full-scale puppet the film crew intended to use. However, the puppet was difficult to control, and the costume proved too cumbersome for Van-Dam to preform in. So the creature was re-designed to be more humanoid, and Van-Dam was replaced by a chimp in an orange jumpsuit for most of the cloaking effect shots.
Hey look, this was a great video from the start. Then on top of all of that you sound super cute AND you have that cute fox character as a bonus. However, you earned a new sub from me at 14:09 when you said "BITCH!" 🤣🤣 I was all the way dead. Thank you for making this video. ✌🏾
What I Loved was the Inclusion of the Super Predator like a Sub-Species or in the New movie the new Tech and the Upgrade in the Interface of the Bio-mask. About Time. I forgot to mention, there are comics from Dark Horse as epilogue and sequel to this movie, and audios from the Videogame of Hunting ground where she's still alive.
I hate that ppl are so scared and hesitant to say they like something that is popular to dislike You don't have to make excuses or apologize, EVERY movie can be said to have problems and issues Saying something is not perfect is like saying getting mauled by a bear isn't fun. Goes without saying
@@RandomMackem0069_Official honestly the 4th could have been so much better if they didn't do half the shit in the plot. Plus, it was to much comedy for a predator movie. The Prey is really good though.
Oh I love this movie honestly just seeing more different predators and especially hunting people that are Hunters themselves made it all worthwhile for me
Only part that got me excited, the Yakuza fighting a Pred with a katana. I would love to see a fuedal Japan Predator movie, where the Predator goes after a Samurai or Ninja at the end
There's only a few things about this movie I didn't like. 1) Edwin being a serial killer was a good surprise; but I question why the Yautja would consider him worthy prey? Yeah, the guy's got a body count like everyone else and was smart enough to not get caught like the death row guy; but where the other captives could provide a challenge; Edwin is seriously underequipped. In the end; Edwin wasn't much of a threat and died the way the group had used him earlier; as live bait. 2) When Royce pulls his Dutch standoff gambit at the campsite; wouldn't covering himself in mud and then setting the whole camp on fire just make him stand out more to Berserker's infrared sight? I mean coating himself and blending in with the surroundings made Dutch vanish into the background until the mud was wiped away. If there's tons of heat and fire around and the guy is standing there covered in mud, would his comparatively lower temperature make him stand out more with all the fire going around? Last was just that I'd heard that there was a possible ending where either Dutch or Harrigan was either in Noland's position as a survivor of the hunt; or they show up after Royce takes out Berserker saying something like: "Gear up rookie; now the hard stuff begins" . Still; loved this movie a hell of a lot more than AVP Requiem and I refuse to watch The Predator!
Those are very good observations. For one. I never even thought about the guys body temperature being lower than the fire 🤣🔥 You have a massive point there 🤣🤣🤣
@@Alteori Oh thank God someone agrees with me! I honestly thought I was missing something and overthinking the scene. The face-off with Dutch in the 1st movie is iconic; I couldn't help but take this one apart when it did things sort of in reverse!
Fun fact: The alien that was chasing the surgeon at 25:34 is called the River Ghost, and it was based on the original concept design of the Predator.
Oh wow. That would have been awesome

@@PR-xm5zc yeah dumb ass thought the red was the finished suit. Not the need to make it red because they couldnt use green or blue colour for CG work
There is behind the scenes footage of the suit …looks very strange…very happy they changed it.
And finally the leader is named "berserker" aka "Mr black". he's pretty much the no nonsense kind of guy who would turn you into pulp while saying "i don't give a crap about honor"
this is one of the reasons why i personally love this movie: the predators are just awesome here
Berserker is exactly what’s wrong with this film. They can’t exactly hunt on earth after predator 2 but that don’t explain why they’d team up and hunt disadvantaged humans on a planet with animals hunting as well
Edit: the replies to this are bullshit.
Sure it’s better than the predator 2018 but shit is still shit
Edit 2: stop bringing up the comics from the 90’s you mindless idiots.

Same I Never heard any dislike about predators either I for myself Liked it
Here on the internet it is actually pretty common to hear about people not liking an old movie but never actually finding these people from the time they are new to now.
With new movies however it is common to often hear about people liking a movie but never actually finding the people who liked it.
If you do find the people who liked the movie it is common to not survive your encounter.
TP would have been mediocre as a comedy and I even thought it was one at first.
@@benzelwasington4059 My only gripe is that it's a little bit rehashy to the original.
The part where the predator mimics “it’s a trap” 3 times always gives me chills
Yeah, like it's just toying with the voices to see which one screws with them the most.
The best similar to this is in predator 2 when it mimics a child saying “want some candy” before killing a guy
The concept of some yautjas betraying their own honor code by having the name *bad blood* just for the sake of Twisted action which bring out the normal to hunt them down was such an unique aspect of this underrated film and the species
Shame they don't use the Berserkers more often
In Predator concrete jungle you fight 3 bad bloods that were made robo-predators by humans...

Exactly the idea of predators hunting and having their hunting ground owning creatures, different clans and bad blood clans going bezerk
It helps that the soundtrack is pretty good. References the original a lot.

That would be sick. I'd be willing to take a Genndy Tartakovsky made animation of that too.
I think the scene where Mahershala Al's character say's "I know because I have done this" had thematic significance. It ties into the theme that this is basically hell and they kind of deserve this.
Walton Goggins is an amazing actor. He's one of those actors that even if the movie is terrible, he is still worth watching in it.
Dude, his portrayal of shane vendrel ( i butchered the spelling) on that show THE SHIELD was amazing.
2 years later. I ABSOLUTELY agree.
Walton carried this show based on the fallout universe. It was absolutely garbage. But walton made it bearable somehow.

Always got to pay homage to the original. Simple little one liners to acknowledge them is all it takes, done very well in that scene.
I kinda dig the lore of the Yautja and the team based fight between them and the humans. Almost like a tournament
Yeah like how bezerker is fucking crazy and fights the regular yaijuta, eagle is still honorable and is respectful of predator tradition to fight the Yakuza boss on equal grounds, and the last predator being a dog trainer or animal tamer as the muscle because he took some blows

@@lemongrab6173 just gonna copy and paste what it says for them from an official source:
"The size and shape of female Predators have been a bit inconsistent throughout Predator lore.

These super predators were actually dishonorable pricks. And were on the run from their home world. Which makes me believe classic predator was a tracker or a type of Marshall.
@@Blainprime Ah yeah those 2 scenes are perfect forshadowing. The writing was pretty damn clean thankfully unlike everything that's come afterwards.

Predators shouldn't be hated as much. It didn't kill the franchise. The Predator on the other hand (vomit inducing film) killed the franchise and not AVPR. Not even the display case in the movie referencing past movies was not justifiable enough to be make it not suck.

I feel berserker would be a good match for wolf because wolf is an elite but berserker isn’t gonna play fair
@@samuelguzman5532 I’m just saying it’s not gonna be easy for wolf he will definitely win
Alteori: " i liked predators 2010"
Me on Fanboisum: " Stop filling the air with ya lies!!!!"
Better watch it before it gets flagged!
I agree, it's definitely better than that predator movie from 2018
By a large mile.
We played that game when I was a kid it was called crooks and robbers that's what we called it
Predators is easily my favorite Predator movie after the original, saw it twice in theaters and gladly own a Blu-ray copy. Never was a fan of Predator 2, and as for The Predator, well the less we talk about that, the better.
Alterori's stamp of approval is enough for me!
I will never understand the hate for this film.
1 reason I liked it
Luka Changgrata uses a Modded AA 12 that can Fire as fast as a f*ng AR, and AA 12 being my fav Shotgun/Gun
That start was good like. Quite a good cast they got for it aswell. The opening of Predator 2 was epic.
When I saw the jail story time I was like 😐 what kind of crazy shit did you get in to
Most predators live till the thousand to two thousand, that specific planet is for bad bloods, aka predator criminals. That game preserve is one of many.
In Predator concrete jungle he was exiled for 100 years...
@@fjparasite1172 yeep scarface was probably 500, since he looks similar to the jungle hunter who was most likely 300-400.
The ship the Berserker predator destroyed was set to go to Earth by the Jungle Predator
I love predators it was really awesome and tons of fun.
I really like this movie its not my favorite not even top 10 but id love to watch it with friends (if i had any) and just have a great time
You have us as friends
@@michaelgarcia5680 thank you stranger on the internet heres a melon for spending your time to type that message it made my day 🍉
I'm very glad, you don't see too many reviews of this movie. Which is sad because it's honestly one of the top tier
FINALLY someone agrees with me…
Hey look, this was a great video from the start. Then on top of all of that you sound super cute AND you have that cute fox character as a bonus. However, you earned a new sub from me at 14:09 when you said "BITCH!" 🤣🤣 I was all the way dead. Thank you for making this video. ✌🏾
I have to agree with ya it’s not that bad of a movie but it can never top the original movie
17:07 yep this confirms it. Our little fox is a puppy guard XD
I hate that ppl are so scared and hesitant to say they like something that is popular to dislike
You don't have to make excuses or apologize, EVERY movie can be said to have problems and issues
Saying something is not perfect is like saying getting mauled by a bear isn't fun. Goes without saying
True and vice versa. 😅
I love it. The 4th was meh. My only gripe about this is that you never see the hounds again.
Yeah and they got replaced by the ugliest thing ever
@@RandomMackem0069_Official honestly the 4th could have been so much better if they didn't do half the shit in the plot. Plus, it was to much comedy for a predator movie. The Prey is really good though.
" A day out with the boys " LOL
Oh I love this movie honestly just seeing more different predators and especially hunting people that are Hunters themselves made it all worthwhile for me
Only part that got me excited, the Yakuza fighting a Pred with a katana. I would love to see a fuedal Japan Predator movie, where the Predator goes after a Samurai or Ninja at the end
I really love this Movie It's so awesome And terrifying at the same time🤯😁
I say it's actually a subspecies of predators or a rival clan who use a more sadistic way of hunting and more tactical
To quote Dead Meat “It’s face looks like a Walrus infected by the Flood!” It’s a VERY accurate statement
Ong this is my favorite predator movie
I liked it. I also like it when the Yautja(?) are portrayed as characters with honor personality.
