When they talk about how old is too young, I feel like a child's gender needs to remain untouched until they are at least at the age of 18. Preferably 21. Because we have all these things we don't allow children to do because they are too young, but a child can decide on what gender to be? And/or to be able to get an operation done? At least get more than halfway through puberty first.
Yeah, it needs to be researched more. A lot of people regret and try to go against the op afterwards. Also cases have happened where it ends in death, or completely botched. And the suicide rate is 40-50% same pre and post op. It's higher than the Holocaust survivors and when you put that into perspective it's hard say it is just from oppression. Especially because most people welcome them!

Yeah nah depends on if the person because some people come out 14 and transition at 16 through seeing a big hospital where they seee multiple psychologicalists that give them the go ahead, at least in Australia and it’s a long waiting list. I know because i have friends like this and then they got top surgery 17 and couldn’t be happier less depressed.
Going through my first puberty cause me mental distress. I would have rather been on puberty blockers to delay puberty than causing irreversible changes to my body. This should be the case for any kid that is unsure about their gender. Once they're ready, they should be able to choose the puberty they wish to go through.
I’m trans and didn’t even know what I was until I was 19 yes I felt different growing up but didn’t exactly know what I wanted I agree with Blair we can’t give kids that much control at such a young age so I think 18 is a good age to make those kinds of decisions.
Agreed, the drugs that are being pushed on pre-pubescent kids, the effects can't be reversed. As a gay men, I always had more feminine behaviour before I even knew what sexuality I had, whom I am attracted to. After my 20, I started to like more manly things, I lost interest in typical girl things, now at 30 I'm a masculine guy. So many of my gay friends used to be feminine when they were young, I can't believe what all our lives would have been like if we all tried to change our genders. Kids should not be making these decisions. Also once you transition to look like a girl, you are very unlikely to attract other gay men into a relationship even if you still have a penis. It takes time to accept their natural bodies, just like it takes time to accept your sexuality that is less common. Forcefully trying to change it as a kid is very dangerous. And it overtakes a huge part of their lives and energy and money that goes behind trying to look like a different gender.
Wouldn't it have helped you if there was at least discussions on trans people? Having the vocabulary and knowledge might have made it easier for you to transition and live your life
I personally think that trans children are fine, however I think that the pronouns alone are as far as it should go. No hormone blockers or GRS until they’re at or above the age of 18.
Yeah, I kinda agree, nothing permanent until their a bit older. But then the problem is the earlier a mtf starts transitioning it will stop them developing manly features so it's better to start earlier. So if say a biological male started transitioning but decided to identify as a male, could they reverse what the female hormones have done purely by stopping? Not really asking you jist sort of thinking as I type. Lol
Sarah Parish The answer is no. Once the hormones get to a certain point it’s a rap. There’s no going back. That’s why it’s better to let them get older to make 100% sure transitioning is something the want to do. The thing with kids is they only think of the positives, they don’t think of the negatives which is our job as parents / guardians to inform them. It’s good to say no sometimes.

Loved "We don't live in the BLACK or WHITE, we live in the GRAY." Idk why you put that in quotes. Gender and your sex are actually two different things. Scientifically yes you're born as a certain sex, but your gender can vary. However I do agree with you because I have a 13 year old daughter who's not sure if she's trans. She's gone back n forth about it a lot. I support her no matter what, but she definitely isn't sure yet.
"doesn't" is in the original taping from the show and people just say "never" nowadays....and nowadays refers to when I was a kid...so yeah they changed it. I first heard it as never and then saw the clip from that lamb chop thing and learned this.
Nikki, when there's commercials for drugs they aren't trying help people they're trying to make money. America and New Zealand are the only countries that allow direct to consumer advertisements for prescription drugs. Think about that.

Yeah, but I think being transgender is a different case. The suicide rate is 40% and it is the same pre and post op. Now I don't have a specific solution, but many people that have gotten the surgery end up reversing it. I definitely think more data needs to be collected about it
True, problem is most non-binary people wouldn’t accept that, they’re usually very ideological and very concerned about pronouns etc. Androgyny was an accepted reality without much ideology linked to it.
Androgyny is natural, it's a result of varying intersex conditions. "Non binary" is made up and not real, its people who want to be special and get that attention that intersex people get from not having a clear black and white biology. They choose to express themselves in an androgynous way rather than actually being true to themselves, it's all a sham. It puts people who are trans and actual intersex people in the background, and replaced by all this madness that really hasn't existed for as long as people claim it has.
@@dylancole1910 you dont have to have some sort of chromosomal condition to be androgynous. It's mainly about visual presentation. Ellen is androgynous, a lot of models are, "tomboys", masculine females and feminine men can be. I've adored androgyny since childhood. I think it's cool now there are people who identify as non binary. if you don't like it, it's non of your business, i like it, and that's my business
@@bibliotecas69 that's your opinion. And people don't have to ignore their biological reality. I think people praying to an invisible man in the sky is crazy, but i don't call it mental illness just because i don't agree with it. we all have different perspectives
Simple answer: androgyny (much like gender bending, "queer" ect) were used as adjectives in the old days. Not sexualities or genders. Calling them genders is what's new.
Did anyone on this podcast try to educate themselves on this topic before talking about it? Did they care to? Or is the podcast strictly about shooting the shit? If it is, I hope people aren't forming their opinion based on what they're hearing here.
It actually boggles my mind how in America you can put yours and everyone else's life at risk at 16 by driving around, then have to wait til you're 18 to get a piercing.. Like... Just as much research should go into hormone replacement & treating chemical imbalance to support the assigned gender. There should be multiple choices for such a serious decision.
Of course the whole situation is very new and needs to be researched. It's sad to see kids lives getting ruined and leading them down a path that equals a 40% suicide rate. No hate!
@@reedw.5477 If you're genuinely not hating then you need to do some serious research on how transitioning works with young kids (and adults too seeing as you're using that misconstrued 40% statistic). The transition process when you are a kid is much more minor and extremely reversible - for example the puberty blockers can be stopped at any time and puberty will resume as normal with very minimal long term or short term side effects. No kid is "getting their life ruined" by this. Especially considering according to studies, the vast majority of kids who go thru the whole youth transition process end up fully transitioning as adults and not regretting it.
@@buscape7737 not one thing is "normal" when it comes to stopping the bodies natural process. And if you think there are no negative effects after puberty blockers are stopped then what happens if you take them 13-18 years old. Well now puberty is thru and your stuck without having had it? And yeah a lot do regret, die during surgery, commit suicide. Pretty sure it is higher than 40% too
@@MiaRosenbloom all the things that you listed that are high with trans people below used to apply to that people. They never had a suicide rate near. And if you attempt isn't it the same thing? And doesn't that mean attempt/suicide would be higher? Free healthcare is not good, that's a whole different subject. Combat discrimination, we already do when it comes to fighting, but what I'm doing is legal. It all falls under the 1st amendment, but not when you incite violence or are the perpetrator.
@@reedw.5477 Lmao you could use that "stopping the body's natural process" argument for literally every medical procedure. "What do you mean you're going to expose me to heavy radiation? That's unnatural! How is that gonna cure my cancer?!" "You're gonna inject part of a disease into me? That's unnatural how is that gonna build immunity?!" There are very few negative effects after puberty blockers are stopped other than you might be a bit shorter and have some bone density issues which are very minor. The second you stop taking the puberty blockers your puberty starts as usual. Stop making emotional arguments and actually learn what you're talking about. Facts don't care about your feelings.

Actually 25... The brain is fully developped at 25... Wait until then to change ur gender.
Having the vocabulary and knowledge might have made it easier for you to transition and live your life
Fun drinking game: take a shot every time Blaire says "N'yah"
I'd suggest drinking water.
13:06 for Blaire
Blaire is so well-spoken, calm, and confident!! Much love💞
I personally think that trans children are fine, however I think that the pronouns alone are as far as it should go. No hormone blockers or GRS until they’re at or above the age of 18.
Finally someone who has common sense
Yeah, I kinda agree, nothing permanent until their a bit older. But then the problem is the earlier a mtf starts transitioning it will stop them developing manly features so it's better to start earlier. So if say a biological male started transitioning but decided to identify as a male, could they reverse what the female hormones have done purely by stopping? Not really asking you jist sort of thinking as I type. Lol
@@jeianalottie ok
Sarah Parish The answer is no. Once the hormones get to a certain point it’s a rap. There’s no going back. That’s why it’s better to let them get older to make 100% sure transitioning is something the want to do. The thing with kids is they only think of the positives, they don’t think of the negatives which is our job as parents / guardians to inform them. It’s good to say no sometimes.
Exactly! I said the same thing when I was talking to myself
Love Blaire White! This was such a chill podcast.

You need an ID for energy drinks?! Daaamn!

Here for Blaire white!!! Love that girl SOOOO FREAKING MUCH!!!

blair white is extremely hateful towards non binary peoples. funny how that works.
Never thought i would see this combo in a million years but i love blaire and im here for it

Aly Tarmin what do you mean exactly?
The memoirs of Blaire White that will be a good read cant wait.
21 should the be legal age a kid can decide if they wanna change their “gender” if they gonna do it
Tyrone Taylor right? You can’t drink because your brain isn’t developed enough, but you’re old enough to make a life changing decision as a child?
Shannon Sunshine I’m saying lol
Idk why you put that in quotes.
Shannon Sunshine facts, but nowadays if you disagree with the alphabet community your labeled as a transphobic or homophobic person...

"doesn't" is in the original taping from the show and people just say "never" nowadays....and nowadays refers to when I was a kid...so yeah they changed it.
I first heard it as never and then saw the clip from that lamb chop thing and learned this.
@Zoom Zooms Lol. That "Mandela Effect" thing is hilarious. People really can't accept that they remembered things incorrectly.
Nikki, when there's commercials for drugs they aren't trying help people they're trying to make money. America and New Zealand are the only countries that allow direct to consumer advertisements for prescription drugs. Think about that.

How can someone feel like a woman? To feel like a man or woman means we have to admit they are gender roles.
She does admit that
Not every trans people are against gender roles, most want to follow them

Christopher Lee mentally. If you woke up with a vagina tomorrow would u just be okay with being a woman from now on?

So totally unrelated but that song is TOTALLY a Mandela Effect. I would have sworn on my life that it was “never ends” and it’s really “doesn’t end” and everyone I have ever talked to said it was “never ends”. So crazy to see that other people are the same!!!
Zoom Zooms you may be right but I would swear on my life it was “never ends” and I know so many other people that would too, until I showed them the lyrics online!! One person even thought someone went through and changed them 😂
3:53 that didn't age well
I agree. But cis people in the comments, please stop acting like you know better than trans people. You haven’t experienced dysphoria so you don’t know what it’s like. As I said, I AGREE with what they say in the video
People can have their opinion. Stop gatekeeping it makes you look crazy. We gotta have dialogue in order to move the conversation in the right direction instead of making it taboo.
Bring Blaire White in JKNEWSSSSSSS
Haha this is nuts! Been watchin Tim for over 10 years and Blaire for around 3 😂👍 never thought I would see this combo!

Yeah, but I think being transgender is a different case. The suicide rate is 40% and it is the same pre and post op. Now I don't have a specific solution, but many people that have gotten the surgery end up reversing it. I definitely think more data needs to be collected about it
I'm straight and I wasn't attracted to anyone at 5.
This is the collab I didn’t know I needed!!!!!
I feel like non binary is kind of like androgeny. And androgeny has existed before 2014 haha
Damn that blue cap is awesome Rikky
Did anyone on this podcast try to educate themselves on this topic before talking about it? Did they care to? Or is the podcast strictly about shooting the shit? If it is, I hope people aren't forming their opinion based on what they're hearing here.
Finally the song ive been waiting for
I think that you shouldn't be able to get the surgery until your 18 just incase you change your mind.
It actually boggles my mind how in America you can put yours and everyone else's life at risk at 16 by driving around, then have to wait til you're 18 to get a piercing.. Like... Killing people is OK but you don't wanna regret a hole that'll heal? And don't even get me started on how there was that florida school shooter who could buy an assault rifle at 18 but it was illegal to buy a hand gun until you're 21. The rules are messed up over there
@@rhobbs9417 you're idea of american politics is very limited and uninformed you can drive at 16 but you have still have restrictions what time you can drive how many passengers its also for the fact that people are supposed to move out and work at 18 and you saying you can kill people is also immacurate because its illegal unless you're talking about the army which i think is completly fine people chose to do that and our brave enough to and yes it is in our constitution that you can have guns to protect ourself from people and government and we have background checks and you have to get your mental health evaluated in order to get one shooting up a school is nothing compared to chicago which has similar murder rates as war zones which most guns there are obtained illegally
@@slivington9292 moron, I obviously meant the fact you can easily kill a great number of people with a motor vehicle, and I'm sorry but are you thick enough to think car accidents only happen after 8pm or something? I know a lot about Americans seeing as I'm married to one and you cannot in any way compare gun crimes in America to countries who've literally had one or two shootings in 50 years, vs one or two every hour.
@@rhobbs9417 who tf are you calling a moron dont speak on american politics when you're obviously very ignorant pertaining to that subject make your messsge more fucking clear then and what countries only have 2 shootings in 50 years none of you are talking about mass shootings thats different and mass shootings arent even close to as bad as all the shootings happening in poor cities with crazy murder rates. @@rhobbs9417 and what are you talking about obviously i dont think car accidents only happen after eight that was stupid asf to say but when you are a new driver its harder to drive at night so limiting that and how many passengers you have in your vehicle decreases fatality rates

That's unnatural how is that gonna build immunity?!"
There are very few negative effects after puberty blockers are stopped other than you might be a bit shorter and have some bone density issues which are very minor. The second you stop taking the puberty blockers your puberty starts as usual.
Stop making emotional arguments and actually learn what you're talking about. Facts don't care about your feelings.
I love lamb chop I still always sing that song my youngest is 21 lol
