So mine seems like it’s muscular injury (most likely from deadlifts) lower left side of back. I noticed the biggest issue is lifting my left leg up can’t really do it because of this injury
I get this tingling feeling in my left leg and stiffness in my lower back too and it's hard for me to get up to use the bathroom...when I get up I have to sit for a while to let my body release before I can do anything....then after a while I feel numbness and tingling again ,when I turn over on the bed the bones in my bum makes it difficult
This video changed my life, I HAVE AN SI ISSUE! Not a sciatic nerve issue! Finally! I have been told by doctors that i should work on losing weight and getting my back stronger. I did, i lost 100 lbs, by lifting and eating better and still had back pain. Found this video and two days later i went for a 1 mile run with my son and no pain in my back. Lifted heavy today, no pain in my back. I can still feel inflammation in my back but this is the first relief i have in 7-10 years. I do the exercises daily now and got a belt to help my hips with getting realigned. THANK YOU!!!!!
Videos like this are a God send . Getting involved with the medical system is a molasses covered , expensive nightmare and most often they don’t have any answers or solutions.
Thanks, your diagnosis for SI joint pain, especially the breathing technique, is one of the most helpful I’ve seen on UA-cam-and trust me, I’ve watched a lot! For those dealing with SI joint pain, here are a couple of tips from my personal experience (I’m no expert, but these helped me): 1. Reason - Unequal distribution of body weight can be a cause of SI joint pain. This often happens due to weakness on one side of your lower body, from your hips to your legs (for me, it was the right side). When we do activities like standing or sitting, the weaker side doesn’t handle the load as well, causing irritation in the SI joint. You might notice yourself leaning toward your stronger side, shifting weight off the weaker side. The goal should be to strengthen the weaker side, so if possible, hit the gym and work on your lower body, focusing especially on any weaker areas. 2. For those who can’t hit the gym, there are a couple of things that helped me instantly. i) We Muslims sit in a specific way during prayer (Salah/namaz), u can check out the video how we offer salah and try sitting like that, but make sure to put more weight on the side that’s causing pain. This will help that side get stronger over time. ii) Lunges also help, and there’s a UA-camr named Athlean-X who has a video called “How to Fix Your Lower Back” that really helped me, so give it a watch. 3. Sleeping in correct position, maybe on one side sleep with cushion between your legs. And yes keep yourself hydrated and potassium intake through food (banana, cocomut water , etc) if you dont, suggested by local physiotherapist as it will help in avoiding cramps. But if the pain still persists consult a medical profession for right diagnosis and resolution.
I too suffered from sciatica it started when I was 18 and I had my first spasm at 23 I thought my life was over cause anytime I wanted to work out and lose weight I would hit the sciatic nerve and it would take weeks to heal and even though it healed from the nerve being pinch I had no idea it was an underlying problem I thought I just had bad luck but recently after watching one of his videos I learned how the bones wants to move and how to pop my discs back in place it was such a relief I thank Creations for this guy he has no idea how much he saved my life better then any chiropractor just do what he says and listen to your body it might hurt at first but relief and pain are two different sensations goodluck everyone😊
That SI joint sounds about right for me. This started 2 days ago and was wondering what I did to get this. I lift weights so I thought it was too much of that. After really hearing this and that I need to strengthen it, it clicked. I've been working on my legs, but neglected my glutes, so I will definitely work on that tonight and give any updates...
Scored 3 out of 4, torn 2 discs torn & fused, after so many shots of cortisone, the fusion, a Stimulator for 6 years. I'm left with Arachnoiditis and a disc bulge, 2 level fusion and now it's 4 discs not just the two original and then throw in the hip and leg pain (Sciatic). 15 years worth, dealing with incompetance and insurance companies that don't really give a crap. Who I used to be was "THE CAN DO GUY" Now, I'm tired due to lack of sleep, when I'm not in pain, it's good to get a Decent Rest. Between Lack of sleep, the gradually worsening pain. Theres a lot of days I don't want to wake I can tell you that much
Well he is right.. About the stretching.. As I keep trying and making it worse.. You just keep trying to get rid of it but pushing and crashing is my problem... It's a disc and sciatica..

Thank you. Love this breakdown. Would you have any advice for pain felt in the discs sensitivity in the lower back part? All the symptoms you described are spot on, and its almost electric shock like. 😢

Let me tell you my story haha. I had burnout, insufficient levels of vitamin D, I was very tired, and anxious, my muscles were not recovering, and I started having joint pain. I was working out at the gym during that time, and at some point, I started feeling pain in my lower back that didn't go away for a few days. I waited a month to see how I felt and went to the orthopedist when I noticed it didn't improve. My symptoms seemed muscular because I felt stiffness in the lower back, but I had pain when standing for too long, walking, bending over, and trying to lift something. So, I had an MRI: minimal disc protrusion on the left side. I did physical therapy and now that I am not as sensitive, I have moved on to a program to become stronger and regain my mobility, just like you said, stretching exercises are temporary, and good for the initial phase, but then we need to build up (I learned these things from lowbackability program
Anyway, I adore you and thank you for this information; unfortunately, most doctors, at least those I've dealt with, are outdated and have scared me with all their recommendations. They have discouraged me, saying that I won't be able to move my back and that I should avoid specific exercises to "protect" my spine. As a result, I feel scared and guilty when I try to do certain exercises on my own without any support, as I've been told that I shouldn't do them. I'm really grateful to have found you.
Thanks for sharing your story! I know the medical system can be frustrating. The main thing to remember is that pain is always multifactorial. Sure, certain muscles or joints may be part of the cause of pain, but we need to zoom out and look at the bigger picture. Make the whole body strong, take care of stress/fear, eat healthy, and get good sleep. Zoom out. I break this approach down in great detail in the masterclass if you haven't seen it yet. Let me know if I can help!
What to do if I have more than one of these problems? Except that disc problem, I have si joint pain, sciatica mostly. Sometimes I get hip joint pain too. (I fell on my hips 2times during my early teanage years. My first sciatica problem occurred on my left leg when I was 15. It was because of spinal stenosis. With medication and exercises it cured. But now when I am 24, it occurred again, but this time on my right leg/right side of my lower back and hip. And after watching this video I can tell it's not only sciatica, it's si joint pain too.
Very interesting video, thanks. One things which is unclear to me or maybe not even mentioned: what if the pain in on sacrum and not on the side of it? Is it still a SI problem?
Just a note from someone who’s been through perimenopause and menopause, and it’s been a massage therapist for 30 years- flexibility without proper support, without proper balanced strength, can leave you vulnerable to injury -so stretching alone, especially as women enter their 40s and 50s, (but then I guess men catch up eventually) can be a problem! Like what he’s teaching here, balanced strength IS a plus. We also lose tone (strength) faster each decade, and collagen gets looser- the whole shebang is usually much better off focusing on strength and not so much the stretching. (Woah- so many typos here- sorry! just rewrote)
Yep we strongly advocate for strength development which improves bone density and muscle mass, and we advocate against excessive stretching especially in people who are hypermobile. Controlled weightlifting is one of the single best things anyone can do in their lives, and this is especially important in women to reduce bone and muscle mass losses later in life.
Great video. Excellent tests. My SI joint pain feels like something catches or is stuck. Occasionally I feel it click pain free when I get up from pushups etc but if it catches I’m in pain. Not sure what’s the sensitivity is with that and how to strengthen. Subscribed!!!
Thanks! I mean physically make your whole body more strong and resilient. Don’t worry about alignment or posture. Research says those don’t matter. This video explains the single most important concept in rehab: “the rule of too’s.” HOW LOW BACK PAIN WRECKS YOUR BODY ua-cam.com/video/AD7xpEApwVI/v-deo.html
so what is the cure for sacroiliac joint, if want to align it, since its fused according to doctor what should I do? in order to get relief from the nerve pain
I have been the two back specialist and all I keep getting this injections. But none of them explained the back like you did. I appreciate it now I know I have a lot more about what's going on. So thank you
I have severe weakness in my right calf muscles and the MRI shows that my SI nerve is compressed at L5-S1 level. I also have numbness in my small toe and the outside of the right foot and heel. I am in pain for a month and nothing seems to work. Even my physiotherapist said I should go for surgery.
I have pain in the upper right front thigh, burning sensation, with a little tingling in my toes with both feet but no pain past my knee, so I dont think i have sciatica pain as I can stretch and no problem, only when i sit down for long periods of time do i usually get the pain... and i have some symptoms of SI joint pain
So mine is Definitely si joint. what do you mean "get strong" ? Is there additional exercises or stretches to help? Its hard to even sit down sometimes
Hi I wanna ask you that I also had lower back pain a months ago from t-bar rowing and it continues for a month. But I didn't felt any weakness just a slight pain but it was getting better and slighter. So i thought it is muscular problem. But what is interesting is i wasn't active throughout the month. And yesterday I went to another cuty by bus standing for about 30 minutes and after coming home i felt again severe pain. So what should I do
My lower back in the middle will go through bouts of major issues that last from 2 days to 2 weeks. I feel like it's my lower spine combined with muscle spasms. I use a tennis ball to push in on the area that hurts and it helps sometimes but It's hard to walk. I've had 3 hernias and I need exercises that will help build muscle without strain.
What If you lift your left leg and bend towards your chest , but when you let it back down it pops like bone to bone is clicking , but does not happen on the other side? I also had a stretch rubber band feeling when my doctor bent that leg , but it didn't hurt more just felt like a rubber band stretching?
Bro i think it's my si joint. but it only gets Tight when I stand or walk for a period of time. You said get strong. how and what kind of Exercise. thanks
Came across your videos for the first time today. Out of all the back related stuff I've seen, yours is by far the best. You have a very genuine positive energy. Also, the little bits of humor and swear words is a nice added touch. I have a fond appreciation for those who are themselves and don't put on a mask. Your usage of sound affects/visuals/props is spot on and they add a fun/entertaining aspect to the learning. Also, the way in which you explain/describe/show everything is super easy to understand and follow. Job well done. Keep up the good work 😁
I get sharp shots of pain like you explain from the potential discs issue, but it’s in certain postures as well as transitions. Most of the time I can move around really easily, but after sitting or laying, and then moving again, I’ll sometimes get a jolt of pain really low on my back and slightly to the left (SI area) and have had a few spasms that have put me on the floor from standing - then scrambling around for a position that alleviates the pain. I do get more minor jolts just from putting shoes on, or a slight turn, or even an unexpected drop step lower on uneven ground as well. My instinct, and after watching things like this video, suggests it’s the SI from bad posture (desk chair all day and sitting cross legged) causing posterior pelvic tilt. I’ve had some success from stretching (I have extremely tight hamstrings early in the day and some hip flexor movements) but as you say, it feels more like strengthening is needed but I don’t know what do next. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as it’s stopping me from playing with my young kids out of fear of pain or a spasm. Thank you.
Hi James, I've had very similar symptoms for several years and recently had a bought of 3 crippling spasms in a week. If you received any advice or did anything that helped, please share. Thanks
@@samkafin2666 It’s actually lifted quite a bit for me recently due to a couple of changes. One key one was changing my desk chair to have proper lumbar support, plus a desk that I can switch from sitting to standing. Outside of that, I’ve changed my diet and lost a bit of weight. My assumption is the weight loss will always help, but some more nutritious whole foods can do wonders also.
What is it if it’s a punctual pain on the standing leg side when back kicking (ushiro geri) in the boney sacroiliac joint area? Did 2 corticosteroids in the SI joint to no avail, did no 0 sports for 3 months to no avail. When I come back to kicking it comes back immediately and gets the same worse in a few weeks. Also cannot squat to the floor heels down anymore cuz gives immediate back pain and gives sciatica leg block if I continue doing it ignoring the pain for few days.So it sucks, I can no longer back kick, squat below 90% and run, which btw is mildly painful to the lower back witch each leap and intensifies with each day I run. Been to 3 doctors to no avail… I have 36 yrs if it helps… basically what ai believe now there is no cure but just the body is broken down and that’s it end of story for training karate or athletics or weights… is bye bye. Basically I’m like a 70yr old guy at 36 due to my 5 days/week training since I was 20. That is my sad conclusion anyway….
i still suffer with my back pain specially my lower back and now the pain went to the middle eventually it also went up to my shoulder blades. but i think the main problem was the lower back where everything started. i do exercise but sometimes out of bo where it will hurt again
Plz explain that.... In every pain tje pain goes in leg.... And if some one pain is not in the lower back but it is from S1 wheather it can go down in leg also...
After 4 months of having pain in the sacrum due to a fracture i am worried if also nerves in this area are affected and causing the pain . Does this make sense ?
This is something where I'd need a lot more info from a 1:1 consultation. You can always watch the masterclass in the description and book a call if you'd like my help!
My partner has dull aching pain in lower back through tailbone region, that radiates to both sides of the upper buttocks. Gets worse throughout the day. No numbness or acute pain down the leg. Sounds like it could be SI joint on both sides? She’s tried strengthening exercises but it seemed to irritate it more? Been struggling with this for close to two years. Anyone have recommendations? Does pain get worse before it gets better?
I have done all these tests, the result is probably the lumbar muscle, since I spend a lot of time sitting at the desk (7 hours a day), I am not doing well, it's been 2 months, Regarding the histroy, a slight pain appeared after a football game but it became worse ome week after having the flu. Any advise Dr, what is you pre diagnosis? Thanks in advance
I only felt tingling only when getting up from bed and when sitting too long (almost 1 hr sitting) but no numbness at all when trying the test. Its tricky 😅
I got numbness in the feet progressing up the legs whenever I walk or exercise or bend forward. Bending forward or sitting down in a comfy chair or in the car seat immediately feels like a thick warm blanket is covering my feet and legs. Only arching backward doesnt make the numbness worse. Even sleeping in a fetal position (which is my comfort zone) makes the numbness worse. The lower back pain is a annoying but insignificant, the numbness is what I find most worrying. It utterly weirds me out. I can deal with pain but what can I do about loss of sensitivity? The other day I walked a few miles and back home I noticed I had a bloody cut in a toe without noticing it. Tried rest, short walks, long walks, swimming, all kinds of exercises, everything I did except the McKenzie stretch seemed to make the numbness worse.
Amazing video! I did the SI test and I have intense pain... but not there: it fires a pain in KNEE (left-external side). Could it be and SI issue, or something different?
Can you make a video about how you rehabbed your labral tear and hip pain? I hear of more and more people getting this and getting surgery to shave the bone/reconstruct the labrum. Would be awesome to know how you avoided that
Basically gradual progression back into normal strength exercise. Calm stuff down, build stuff back up! I likely won't make a video specifically on labral tear rehab since at this time my specialty and my focus online is back pain and sciatica.
I have lumbar disc L5 s1 since couple of years, recently i started having more sharp pain and muscle tightness specially in buttock, a bit of hip and going down towards behind my knee and foot on right side, my muscles keeps popping sound when i stretching.. any advise as i dont have pain on lower back its more of sciatica when tested both side got pain when moved head forward but right side more painful
On my right side my leg is short and was told that my pelvic was working hard over the past years it got worse it starts from my back to my thighs to my knee cap😢 my whole entire leg goes num when walking or standing for a long period of time. But I've to bend over to relieve pressure sometimes if im with my family when we out in public
I feel severe lower back pain when trying to stand or walk fully upright. The pain worsens the more I bend backward, improving from hunching forward. The pain is also severe when trying to stand back up after bending down to lift something. It is a very sharp pain right between my pelvic bones on my spine. I feel almost no lower back pain when sitting or laying down. I know rest is important however I also know not enough activity also weakens the supporting muscles. What do you think is causing my lower back pain? Does this sound more like muscle/tendon/ligament strain or disc related? What can I do to help it heal? What stretches or exercises help the most?
These symptoms are super common but I'd still need to ask you many more questions in order to give you a good answer. If you like my approach and want a free phone consult, you can book a call to see if we can help after watching the masterclass: www.shapeshiftwellness.com/LBP-masterclass
I have absolutely NO painbwhen I am sitting. Would this negate spinal stenosis? Wouldn't the arthritis and spurs still affect the nerves or blood supply while sitting?
I have pressure just above the butt crack, some pain close to the sides of butt crack, deep in the middle of the glutes, sometimes pain in the hips (big boney parts in back) and very tight hamstring… no mri, pt thinks disc. Hurts like pressure to sit. Any ideas?
maybe that's pelvic floor pain. i have similar symptoms, even visited proctologist, everything is fine. only researching internet I was able to diagnose myself
I listened to the masterclass which was great but maybe mention early in the video you cannot take calls out of the US or Canada. I wanted to make a call from Australia
I have a lot of pain above the si,and al the way up when I try to walk and in front by my hip in my belly as well😢,can't walk and no doctor seems to know whats wrong 😢
What can possibly cost a consistent clicking in the low back and sciatica pain up to the toes? I seriously need help.. I've been the probably five doctors already.. and none oof them knows as much as you do ❤ do you have any SI join exercises? I do stretch daily but it seems like I'm doing the wrong stretches cuz I've been hurting a lot for months now and not getting better at all
I've watched so many videos, but I'm still unable to find a solution. I got pain in my tailbone ( exactly between the hips ) when I was doing leg press. It's been over a month, and I still get pain when I do certain exercises. What do I do? 🥺
I have had l5 s1 disc bulge many years ago, never had the sharp pain that you talk about - only ongoing, unbearable dull ache which is worsened with sitting or standing for extended periods of time? Is this unusual?
Being in wheelchair from accident 48+yrs ago. Been lucky to not have any serious issues. But in the past few years and it seems to get worse each year is my left buttock and under leg not past knee though. You said it could be the pirimorous. What kind of help can I get to relieve the pain?
Please help as I cannot pin point the exact cause of my pain (I have it around for 1 year). My symptom started when a kid sat on my back unexpectedly while I was doing push-ups. The pain used to be short-sharp pain that lasted less than a second and disappear. Now there is major relief but the pain still exists when I do the following tasks mentioned below Symptoms: I get pain when I do side kick, pain on left lower back when I kick with right leg No pain while streching Can pin point the exact location of pain Slight pain while standing on one leg, my left leg* No pain on bending, but feel slight sensitivity, similar in case of squats, deadlift etc I haven't visited doctor because the pain is not sharp and I can perform my daily tasks easily and even strength train but it's uncomfortable nonetheless
I've been diagnosed (with imaging) with hip impingement, labral tear, L5/S1 degeneration, and low back pain issues. Would your program be able to help? No PT or doc has been able to help. :/
Sounds like the kind of thing I work with every day. Have you watched the masterclass? If you watch the masterclass and like the approach I take, you can always book a free call to see if we can help! www.shapeshiftwellness.com/LBP-masterclass
Usually bertolotti's is not a big deal. People get far too concerned about specific structural anomalies and completely miss the causes of chronic pain. Happy to hear that.. About belt make sure you use the strongest and not flexible one cuz this one itself will cause bad posture so wear it properly
I just want to give you props. Informative while also clearly stating that we cannot give 100% structural “causal” statement for pain. Thank you.

6:16 & 6:41 is me. Joint or disk 👎. Can’t even get out of bed in the mornings sometimes.
Very good information. Thanks
Awesome info!
Glad it was helpful!
Very interesting video, thanks. One things which is unclear to me or maybe not even mentioned: what if the pain in on sacrum and not on the side of it? Is it still a SI problem?
This is exactly what I am dealing with right now. Thank you for the information.
So glad it helped!
@@ShapeshiftWellness (glad you could decode what I intended!) thanks for your great explanations- great video-

SI pain at 17, I'm cooked 💀😭
Me too bro 😭
since 17, undiagnosed - 31 now with conflicting pain coming from multiple sources of childhood trauma lol 🚣♀️
Me too 😢
Same bro 😢
Bro that's why I'm here 😢
Great video. Excellent tests. My SI joint pain feels like something catches or is stuck. Occasionally I feel it click pain free when I get up from pushups etc but if it catches I’m in pain. Not sure what’s the sensitivity is with that and how to strengthen. Subscribed!!!
Great video thank you. This should have millions of views
Thank you for your offering to the almighty youtube algorithm 🙏
So the best treatment for sciatica strength training ?
Dr. Anthony seems very passionate about this subject, thanks, now I know it's SI Joint Pain. ☺️👍🏻
Glad it helped! If you need more guidance with rehab just ask, there's a lot more where that came from.
Now Now we talk like this. Do you need to talk more. This was really really educational.
Great video but what do you mean by get strong? Do you have a video or exercise for SI recovery?
Thanks! I mean physically make your whole body more strong and resilient. Don’t worry about alignment or posture. Research says those don’t matter. This video explains the single most important concept in rehab: “the rule of too’s.” HOW LOW BACK PAIN WRECKS YOUR BODY

I have left hip pain from back side. It doesn't go down. What is this?
Mild disc bulge
so what is the cure for sacroiliac joint, if want to align it, since its fused according to doctor what should I do? in order to get relief from the nerve pain
For me, the offending muscle was the gluteus medius. I needed to release the trigger points in the origin of that muscle.
I have been the two back specialist and all I keep getting this injections. But none of them explained the back like you did. I appreciate it now I know I have a lot more about what's going on. So thank you
I have a pain on my lower left side go up on the left side of my back when im stand too long
I have severe weakness in my right calf muscles and the MRI shows that my SI nerve is compressed at L5-S1 level. I also have numbness in my small toe and the outside of the right foot and heel. I am in pain for a month and nothing seems to work. Even my physiotherapist said I should go for surgery.
Great video!!!
Thank you so clear explanation ❤👍🙋♀️
I have pain in the upper right front thigh, burning sensation, with a little tingling in my toes with both feet but no pain past my knee, so I dont think i have sciatica pain as I can stretch and no problem, only when i sit down for long periods of time do i usually get the pain... and i have some symptoms of SI joint pain
Thanks doc really helpful 🙏
Thank you so much for this! I’ll be watching more of your videos.
Glad it helped!
So mine is Definitely si joint. what do you mean "get strong" ? Is there additional exercises or stretches to help? Its hard to even sit down sometimes
Any exercises to relieve pain below the left shoulder blade / mid back area?

I have SI pain, but mostly when getting out of bed, stomping the foot or squatting.
Hi my name is Zeke are there any openings for the break thru phone calls on the weekends or a day coming soon. Please let me know
Hi I wanna ask you that I also had lower back pain a months ago from t-bar rowing and it continues for a month.
Is there a connection between low back pain n right sciatica upto buttocks n feeling better after full night rest n bowl movement.
Im feeling low back pain since i done t bar row lifting does it caused any nerve damage or muscle pain only ? Can u tell me what to do
DR YOU ARE GREAT ❤. I HAVE LOWER PAIN NEAR SI JOINT BUT I CAN'T DIAGNOSE MY SELF SO CAN YOU ADVISE ME WHAT TO DO FOR MY PAIN. GOD 🙏 BLEES YOU
AWESOME VID!
I have a SI Nutation on the right axis
What If you lift your left leg and bend towards your chest , but when you let it back down it pops like bone to bone is clicking , but does not happen on the other side? I also had a stretch rubber band feeling when my doctor bent that leg , but it didn't hurt more just felt like a rubber band stretching?
Bro i think it's my si joint. but it only gets Tight when I stand or walk for a period of time. You said get strong. how and what kind of Exercise. thanks
I can't do the exercise as too much pain in getting up. Or sitting. Or standing up. Or walking. What do I do to stop this excruciating pain?
Came across your videos for the first time today. Out of all the back related stuff I've seen, yours is by far the best. You have a very genuine positive energy. Also, the little bits of humor and swear words is a nice added touch. I have a fond appreciation for those who are themselves and don't put on a mask. Your usage of sound affects/visuals/props is spot on and they add a fun/entertaining aspect to the learning. Also, the way in which you explain/describe/show everything is super easy to understand and follow. Job well done. Keep up the good work 😁
I'm so happy these videos are helping you! Thanks a ton for the kind words - I try to keep it real, and keep it evidence based over here.
Can you tell us how to strengthen it and not just stretch?
I have pain starting from hip to left side pelvic and towards front thigh
Plz help me
What is that pain cause by
This guy is amazing... 🤗
Hey thanks!
This video is helpful.thank you
Glad it was helpful!
i still suffer with my back pain specially my lower back and now the pain went to the middle eventually it also went up to my shoulder blades. but i think the main problem was the lower back where everything started. i do exercise but sometimes out of bo where it will hurt again
I have done all these tests, the result is probably the lumbar muscle, since I spend a lot of time sitting at the desk (7 hours a day), I am not doing well, it's been 2 months,
Regarding the histroy, a slight pain appeared after a football game but it became worse ome week after having the flu.
Thanks for the video
Amazing video! I did the SI test and I have intense pain... but not there: it fires a pain in KNEE (left-external side). Could it be and SI issue, or something different?
It's on one side from my hips go down to my feet on the wright side
Thank you 👍👍👍
Can you make a video about how you rehabbed your labral tear and hip pain?
Great video.
I have absolutely NO painbwhen I am sitting. Would this negate spinal stenosis? Wouldn't the arthritis and spurs still affect the nerves or blood supply while sitting?
Thanks sir
I have pressure just above the butt crack, some pain close to the sides of butt crack, deep in the middle of the glutes, sometimes pain in the hips (big boney parts in back) and very tight hamstring… no mri, pt thinks disc. Hurts like pressure to sit. Any ideas?
maybe that's pelvic floor pain. i have similar symptoms, even visited proctologist, everything is fine. only researching internet I was able to diagnose myself
I have the same thing. Tried several treatments. Pain doesn’t seem to go away.
I listened to the masterclass which was great but maybe mention early in the video you cannot take calls out of the US or Canada. I wanted to make a call from Australia
Australia is now okay too! Book it, I'm looking forward to seeing if I can help you!
I have a lot of pain above the si,and al the way up when I try to walk and in front by my hip in my belly as well😢,can't walk and no doctor seems to know whats wrong 😢
This guy deserves a Nobel Ptize

Same reason, did you took treatment
I have had l5 s1 disc bulge many years ago, never had the sharp pain that you talk about - only ongoing, unbearable dull ache which is worsened with sitting or standing for extended periods of time? Is this unusual?
The pain is also back now and nothing is relieving it,not even TENS machine :(
Being in wheelchair from accident 48+yrs ago. Been lucky to not have any serious issues. But in the past few years and it seems to get worse each year is my left buttock and under leg not past knee though. You said it could be the pirimorous. What kind of help can I get to relieve the pain?
Physiotherapy
Please help as I cannot pin point the exact cause of my pain (I have it around for 1 year). My symptom started when a kid sat on my back unexpectedly while I was doing push-ups. The pain used to be short-sharp pain that lasted less than a second and disappear. Now there is major relief but the pain still exists when I do the following tasks mentioned below
Symptoms:
I get pain when I do side kick, pain on left lower back when I kick with right leg
No pain while streching
Can pin point the exact location of pain
Slight pain while standing on one leg, my left leg*
No pain on bending, but feel slight sensitivity, similar in case of squats, deadlift etc
I haven't visited doctor because the pain is not sharp and I can perform my daily tasks easily and even strength train but it's uncomfortable nonetheless
Thanks Dr. For information ❤❤
You bet!
Thank you! This was really helpful
You're so welcome!

What about bertolotti syndrome? My drs are having hard time figuring out where my pain is coming from and so am I.
Usually bertolotti's is not a big deal. People get far too concerned about specific structural anomalies and completely miss the causes of chronic pain. The fact is pain is multifactorial and we need to zoom OUT. Watch the masterclass if you haven't already, I break it down in there: www.shapeshiftwellness.com/LBP-masterclass
