I don't know why but seeing the geckos attacking the insects is satisfying to me. xD
the insects will always try to escape from your grasp and it finally gets eaten by your gecko, thats my theory

Lol that's why I like snakes but you can use tongs for the worms if you want. That or get gloves
I have no trouble with picking up bugs, but i may have issue with geckos biting the hand that feeds. (getting a leo soon, my first lizard)

It's completely normal, they all have them.
leopard geckos along with a couple others have armpit holes and holes going through they head if you shine a light through it, you'll see. i believe not every leopeard gecko has them tho if my memory is not failing me about someone saying theirs don't.

I remember when I had my dragon, in the middle of the night I felt something against my leg I ignored it and scooted away but...it scooted back into me freaking MASSIVE cricket cuddling with me in my bed lmfao it probably was cold and wanted my warmth.

Great video! I'd really recommend getting tongs and making them chase their food, I always do this and it provides great mental enrichment. Nothing beats watching your leopard gecko jump after worms :P
I'm just saying your really brave to feed them with your hands😂 I just use tongs, cuz I'm so scared that my leopard geckos gonna bite me. I'm not saying he bites me it's just when I have food he goes CRAZY!!!

Yesterday I was feeding my leopard geckos with crickerts. On of the crickets jumped on my geckos tail and she got confused and spin around while she was trying to catch the cricket sitting on her tail xD
Sonja Kallio mine don’t eat anything but live crickets and I don’t know if that is healthy for them to only eat them
I watch several different pet youtubers but you are:

I know you've probably answered this a million times but could you post an eating schedule for a leopard gecko? for example: how many crickets, meal worms and other insects per day/weekly for a 1 yo LG? TIA!! Not sure if I'm feeding my girl enough. Shes currently on large crickets, medium meal worms and wax worms as a treat.(can you post it on your IG??)
Every 3-4 days, as much as she'll eat in fifteen minutes.

I feed my geckos hand and they become lazy
They need to re-learn hunt crickets by themselve again
So i will try to put the crickets by themselves again so they can hunt them
Its good for reflexes
I will try to slow make them hunt again no more easy meals
You should do the same
Worms are too slow for they hunter skills
If I drop mealworms into their cage, I drop them a distance away so they have to creep up on them. I always make them work for their food because it's a type of enrichment at least.

Can a leopard gecko be feed only mealworms (but lots of them + calcium and vitamins) and still be healthy?
They're not a good staple diet, crickets or Dubia roaches would be better. It's best to vary the diet.

Had to do that with Sahyu one time for some reason I don't remember. She wound up constipated. Crickets or Dubias are better. You could also try phoenixworms. Overall, a varied diet is best.
Mealworms have a lot of chitin (their exoskeleton basically) and not as much nutrition per worm. Chitin is actually pretty hard to digest, so the gecko has a chance of getting constipated or just be generally unhealthy
I have a baby one that I feed him superiors superworms for now till he gets a little biger ill feed him crickets
I had a tank bigger than that for my crickets and they still jumped. lol

I have, no joke, watched over four hours of your videos in preparation for getting a leopard gecko sometime off in the future.
I don't have much to say besides thank you for making so much content. I feel like within two weeks I've gone from knowing next to nothing to knowing enough to make sure my little dude will have a nice healthy life from the moment I get it. I was even able to tell someone that to help their gecko out they shouldn't have a red night light

LET'S START A DEBATE: ARE INSECTS NECESSARY FOR CRESTED GECKOS OR NAH?
I'd say yes because for months my gecko wasn't growing all and she was 3 grams at 7 months (I wasn't allowed insects in the house) and then my mum allowed me to get insects and within 3 months my gecko is bigger and she now weighs 9 grams

I have a feeding bowl where i put BSF larvae and gutloaded mealworms for my leopard gecko so he doesnt eat the substrate and it also can hold a lot of calcium powder

I got a juvenile Leopard Gecko yesterday at petsmart, this guy said to get a heat lamp, a large swim area, and a tank at a discount of 30% off. We later returned the tank and they told us to get heat Lamp and so we did (low one), BUT we got a heating mat with a "good starter kit", and now we have to return the half log for a smaller one and return the water pool, maybe the light. My mom fell for the petsmart trap!!

That's unfortunate. Leo's need 2-3 hides, a heat mat, a 20 gallon tank for adults 5-10 gallons for juvies, shallow water dish, food bowl if feeding worms or roaches, thermostat for heat mat.
Møther_øf_Drøgøns_ we returned the stuff and got a full new tank and different stuff, but i read that they can be fine with a 10 gallon tank.
