I just bought the T3 Lite solely for the reason that it represents blacks better. As I don't want a visible light in the background if the screen is supposed to be black(I seen another side-by-side comparison that showed the t2 not perform as well with blacks also). I'm willing to make the sacrifice on performance for that reason. Hopefully it works out for me. I'm about to set it up today.
I have the t2. After reading your comment. I just double checked, and on the dark sides, (on horror movies) i literally looked at the led strips, and they are off on the dark side of the screen. Im curious why you are so adamant about it being lit, when you have commenters says the same thing as i. You do get complete darkness. Maybe it's a saturation tweak. I lowered mine all down, who knows but, please take my word, and several other commenters, the T2 does give full darkness on the dark sides of the screen
I was watching your video and thinking, okay... Some interesting points, maybe he's on to something... Until... I got to the part where you say you can't have a completely dark experience with the T2. Either your setup is wrong or your T2 is defective. Mine does complete blackout, so much so, that I often forget to turn it off when I shut down the TV because I can't see it's on. Considering this, I can't really take the rest of what you are saying on board.
Without you been able to compare next to each other you don’t get it but feel free to think whatever you think nobody is asking you to believe in me. Have a great day.
@@MADpack@MADpack look, I meant no hate, but I genuinely think that you got it wrong in many points. I had a look at another comparison, and whilst the T3 came up a bit better in some areas, the overall result was that the T2 is better. This was a side by side, frame by frame comparison . The T3 lite is not considered an upgrade on the T2 by the majority of Govee enthusiasts, on the contrary, and the price corroborates this. I can say that some of the defects the other reviewer mentioned on his video, I don't have them (I don't have almost none of what you mentioned for the T2), but I do have others. The reason for this is quite simple, every device, unless mounted on exactly the same TV in exactly the same way/conditions, needs a different configuration. Having helped a few people set up their T2, which they initially couldn't get to work properly, I can guarantee that my settings won't fit their situation. Different screen sizes, different screen reflectivities, different lighting in the room, even different TV tables (or stuff placed underneath the TV) will result in different performance results. In the end, I felt your review is a bit misleading, although I admit that it probably wasn't your intention and you do genuinely believe the T3 is better, but only because your test conditions might not fit the T2 as well as they did the T3. I genuinely wish you success in your channel and, if I could suggest something, I would probably say that when you are claiming something, then you should back it up with proof (video comparison, ideally) and always do a disclaimer regarding the fact that the results are your personal opinion under your specific testing conditions and might vary for other people.

@coreyvazquez1395 I’m sure you will love it the only miss point on this is the at I wanted a bit brighter I believe that’s the reason they are developing the t3 pro
Thanks for this comparison. In the end I decided to upgrade my T2 to the T3 lite. I think it is much improved with the quicker response times and I like the way the lights now go off when the screen goes dark. I thought the setup looked easier especially as I had done it before and didn't involve cutting the light strip. I also don't have any other lights to pair with either system. I think the more subtle lights from the T3 Lite are great. They create a much larger screen feeling but are not too bright so do not distract from what is happening on the Tv. It is only when there is a sustained dark picture that you notice they have turned off and realise what a difference they are making. I also appreciated your calibration video which greatly improved their performance.
