@@ianvanessen9356Could you film a small sequence of your TV and Govee in action and upload it? Im planning on buying Govee as well and Im curious to see how it looks like with a no gap wall mount.
Everything looks so slick, but I can’t stop to think that your lights are not setup right, either they are not attached correctly from the back, or your calibration is off. Your sides don’t have nearly as much light coming out like your top and bottom of the tv does. There are also a lot of spots where your lights are not even close to what’s on screen. I have the 1st gen of these tv lights and they work wonders for me.
Love every thing about this set up. I have the Govee T2 backlight as well and it's amazing. You gave me a great idea to use the extra Govee light strip I have as well to make the colors more vibrant and vivid!! I found that when you place the dual cams at the bottom as oppose to the top, it works much better.
4x8 sanded plywood ripped into 1” pieces for $55 , Can of black paint. Done deal. I almost fell out of my chair looking up the prices of those things. 😂 I guess you pay for convenience. They do look very nice though.
Fun clean setup but i would strongly recommend keeping the center of your TV wall White or a lighter, less saturated shade of color as the current paint colors will utterly eat your LED's light diffusion, you're getting significantly less than you're money's worth.
You’re not getting the most out of your Govee lights because you need to stick the strips closer to the outer edge of your tv on the backside. 5:45. Anywho Nice setup!
Add a good soundabr, is a must with such a tv. I suggest you the new bose smart soundbar, that's not cheap, but is completely worth it, i have the old bose soundbar 700 with bass module and i love it.
Hi thank you for the video, I have a question please, what is the size of this TV and what is the distance between you and your screen, I want your expertise 😊 🙏
Hey sir this looks awesome. Definitely taking inspiration for my own setup in the near future! If you dont mind me asking, what piece of furniture / storage unit is that large walnut piece left of your Ikea Bestå units?
Very nice setup. I really wish the T2's neutral white balance was better and more accurate. You basically have to shift white balance to bluer for better colors
@@cyberairwolf I have no background with the Philips so I don't know. If you want accuracy, go with the Philips. But you lose 120hz over HDMI and some shows don't work with the backlights. I have been very happy with my govees
@@cyberairwolf if you use your smart TV apps to stream media then Philips won’t work, you need an outside source with an HDMI connection for it. If you game then there’s another downside to Philips as it’ll bottleneck to your fps. Downsides to Govee are less accuracy and sensitivity to other lights in the room. Also having to mount a camera somewhere on or near your TV. Really depends if you’re after accuracy (Phillips) or convenience and usability (Govee)
I would really like some backlighting but I have a 49" monitor and a GPU that only supports displayport. My system is too advanced for the options available lol.
I don't really know if it's worth it doing something like this when renting a place. These kind of plans are better suited if you have you own house imo. But none the less, that setup looks really good.
Hello! I would like to ask if it is possible to install the govee product without the camera because I do not want to see this on my tv and i dont need this because i want one colour.Thank you!
Very nice. My living room tv is located in the corner of the room on a stand which I like. So....I wonder how a back light system would look in my situation? I'm afraid it would look a little weird w/o a wall directly behind the tv. May try first with some cheap back light strips to get an idea before investing in something like this.
How did you connect govee T2 together with light bars? Does T2 have a socket usb c to connect light bars? Or did you pair two two control boxex? (mean T2 and light bars)
Great visuals and I congratulate you on having the TV at the same height as you're sitting position but what about the audio? Movies are made up of 50% visuals and 50% audio and there are occasions when the audio out does the visuals.
What is the ideal height for TV mounting in a living room setup where I want the TV to be about eye level? How high did you mount your TV? Also, how would you compare the Govee T2 to the philips hue sync box. I know one advantage of the govee is that it does not use HDMI to sync the colors and uses a camera instead of an HDMI sync box like the philips. This also means the philips cannot sync to apps natively on the tv like youtube or hulu since the box requires a source to be connected to the sync box but the source itself is a TV so the lights can't sync.
As someone who mounts tv there really isn't a "specific" measurement for the ideal height. Whenever people want me to mount a tv as close to eye level as possible I usually make a cardboard template of the tv and place it on the wall. Then you can move it until you get the position that fits your needs.
Loving this setup, you have pretty much what I want in my living room. I'm looking at the IMEA Besta units too, my space will be 5 of them across it. How have you placed them? Are they bolted into the wall or just placed on the floor with legs? I'm like you, I don't think I'll have the TV on the wall.
My brother, this is BY FAR the CLEANEST setup I’ve seen recently. I love this and will be recreating it in my media room. Thanks for the inspiration!
Stop glazing bruh this shit is tacky
Buys the most expensive mount to keep the TV flush to the wall. Pulls TV farther from the wall to show off lights...
His mistake was not sticking the light strips closer to the edges of the TV.
Exactly!
I’m about to get mines soon. The edgier it is the better?
@@GhettoTilliDaeyes. I placed my T2 lights 3/4” from the edge and it spreads light even with TV flush with the wall

Have you considered getting their new AI game synch box?
This setup is a 10/10. Good job 👍🏾
Thanks, DNChromatic, for the fantastic video and great ideas!

New subscriber here, this video is amazing!!
It’s pretty nice set up you got there, but without a sound system some subwoofers it’s just a TV with some lights
Yeah it seems crazy to do all this effort and money to end up listening to tv speakers. To each their own.

Go with wall mounted stereo speakers. Keep the clean look without the soundbar
I buy the slimmest wall mount to keep the tv a bit more from the wall 🤷♀️

What color accent do you have behind tv?? 😍😍
