Tube screamer adds a lot of headspace, subtle compression and its tone could be regulated, besides giving a great boost in the signal. .
If I wasn't already in love with my Love Pedal Mini Amp 50 I would totally get this.

I have never tried this myself, but my guitar teacher told me that if you put a boost or even an eq pedal through the fx loop it will raise the volume. But I haven't tried it for myself. If you have an Angry Troll, you might as well try it!
mxr micro amp is the way. jack white uses them to boost his signal, total clean boost depending how easily your amp breaks up.
This is an awesome pedal, I plan on buying one of these even though I got a great boost pedal. The name alone is worth the price.

i know i'm a little late here, but i was wondering the same, i suggest getting a danelectro fish and chips eq, i use it more as a boost than an eq pedal. Cheers

I made the mistake of thinking this was a volume type boost pedal and would simply supply more volume so your guitar would stand out for a solo. Does anyone know of any other way to do this besides a volume pedal? Thanks in advance.

what's the best boost to use for a 'scooped', bright clean channel? I have a shared EQ, and I favour my dirty channel's EQ. Need something for a fatter, darker clean tone.
I am using a Z.Vex Super Hard On pedal for this type of boost. It's working great but would this Troll thing serve the same purpose, or would this pedal likely add a bit more hair?
