- In todays video Paul Drew and James Ivey from The Studio Rats try out a WAY HUGE ANGRY TROLL Boost pedal.
This fantastic pedal is not only a great boost pedal but you can also add varying amounts of gain but the fist knob.
These two jokers should not even be reviewing this pedal as they've done no research before pushing the record button, so I would suggest you don't even watch this and complain to the makers of this fine pedal.
The Studio Rats are core band members Paul Drew on guitar/production/mixing, drummer James Ivey and Dan Hawkins on bass. They collaborate with singers and musicians to produce radio-ready songs.
They named a pedal after my mother in law.
And my wife 😢
Sounds exactly like like my Bad Monkey pedal 😂
Someone needs to make a St Anger Troll pedal that adds the low mids from that snare to your lead playing. 🤘🤘
Ace pedal BTW, love how it keeps the dynamics intact without going over the edge.
From my understanding from an interview with George Tripps, it's based on the Electro Harmonix LPB pedal.
I've had this on my board since it was first released. Works great with the Dunes by earthquaker devices as a stacked boost/overdrive stage.
Hey ole buddy, you do a fantastic job of turning the knobs 😊
Nice Telecaster Mr. Paul! Cool pedal...
I’m not a pedal guy, however, this one pedal I kept and goes in and out of rotation but the boys in the band love it.
Way Huge make great pedals. Very underrated
You two are crazy. Have a great day 🤘🤘😎
that pedal; sounds amazing. i like minimum or one up from minimum, but i recon crank the level to 3/4. but, max punch sounds killer too. now they need to make a dual punch, so you can toggle between the two settings. i don't know if it would suit my mesa rectifier, too much bottom end, but i really like it. and i preferred the mid frequency/tone added to the base tone.
I would have liked the sounds of a Les Paul humbuckers.
So the implication is that it might be a very clean boost, too, in an albeit short range of the volume control, (not using the Anger knob)?? It is after all a Linear Boost.... Most of the Way Huge pedals I've seen have adjustments inside. *** Nope I saw the schematic and there are no internal pots/switches.
Have had one of these for years, brilliant (not so) little pedal.
Paul I hope the move goes as well as it can
One of the top 3 stressful things
Moving, marriage and mourning
This looks like the same concept as the Danelectro Breakdown pedal.
That first cord sounded like the effect on lunatic fringe by red rocker.
Actually this is one one the best reviews I have ever seen....'who wants to be fisted by an angry Troll' brilliant 🤣
Your language ist shocking 🙂 lol! You two guys are awesome. As I said before: I wish I'd live closer
James is never going to be in an extreme metal band if he doesn't like going to extremes with settings lol!
Did you mention what 'amp' (+delay/reverb) this was going into?
It did sound great.... But, the starting point was also quite nice.
Possibly The BeSt 👊 Demo Ever !!!
🤜
Nice 👍🏻
Do I hear for those about to rock?
This with a Boss GE-7 would be a perfect combo
How is it with a Boss Katana mk2 100 watts?
Definitely not for me that pedal 😞please can we have James playing a bit more on your videos? You guys are the best 👍
James James James James James James James 😊
Mister Fister is a more fitting name…
Click that fist button!
I am not to review the review 🤡
I had to ask my daughter to leave the room....Grow up!
There’s no turning back to my dismay.
