    I made this and it's DELICIOUS! I have one tip for people who are going to make it: cook your asparagus a while before the onions instead of the other way around. When I did it in the video's order, the asparagus was almost raw.

    • @justonecookbook
      @justonecookbook  7 років тому

      Thank you for trying this recipe! Apologize that my video instructions are not clear as my recipe on the blog. I wrote more details in the blog post - recommending thin asparagus than thick one. Even thick one, it's very hard to control the "doneness" when you cook it first, so I highly recommend getting thin asparagus when you have to saute with other ingredients: www.justonecookbook.com/easy-wafu-pasta-shrimp-asparagus/

I don't post recipes often on my UA-cam, so you can see more recipes on my blog (with step by step pictures). Thank you again for your kind support. Hope we can cook more delicious Japanese food together! xo

    This looks like it'll keep a lot better than saucy pasta~ It won't absorb so much moisture in lunchboxes and will probably be a great cold pasta salad >< So happy to find something like this!

      graeme hedley It's Japanese soup stock that has a subtle seafood flavor. You can get powdered dashi at Japanese grocery store. You can make your own from konbu seaweed and bonito flake( katsuobushi ). She might have a recipe somewhere.

      Waifu means wife (female spouse in Japanese English writing). But wafu 和風 means Japanese style. You may hear or see Wafu Dressing, Wafu Hambagu, Wafu Pasta Wafu xxxx... simply "Japanese style".
