Clear sky only counts planes shot down by "focussed AA". Like right click a squadron, planes die, they count. Planes dying to autofire don't. It's a respectable decision, but: A) Game doesn't communicate this. B) Getting 50% plane kills is hard enough as it is.

add in a AA Fletcher in the mix, it's the ultimate AA setup :> plus, jingles didn't mention it, but Neptune and Mino can go up to 8.6km long AA range, if you take both AFT and AA range module. I myself just like taking MCAA, AA range mod, and no AFT sadly, i can't stumble upon a CV dumb enough to come more than once in my range :(
Having shot down 55 planes in my Mo in Co-Op, I can attest that some CV players are actually worse than the bots, as after the bot CV lost 55 planes, he decided to try his luck else where. That means the bots are learning. Players are not.

They took away skill of dodging and replaced it with the skill of pimping your AA to the max. GG.

I’ve only had the going down the middle of two brothers work for me like 3 times once in closed beta once in open beta and once on week one launch of WOWS
No one will care but this is why i quit WOWS when the AA got buffed, Carriers thrive off of players not utilities the rock paper scissors mechanic which means BB's are a threat to Cruisers, Cruisers are threat to Destroyers, and Destroyers are a threat to BB's. Carriers fit in with Cruisers protecting the BB's with there AA. Instead buffing all AA for all ships means carrier planes are worthless. You get no EXP for scouting or causing damage because of scouting, and shooting down other carriers planes is boring if you can't use your bombers. And you can't use Bombers because all ships have to much AA. My little rant is meaningless but its sad WG killed off carriers, its basically World of Battleships now, and not something im ever going to try again. A little side story i never played WoT, and was so excited for WOWS i installed tanks on the hopes i could transfer free exp. I find myself in the strange position of having uninstalled WOWS and just playing WoT...shame that happen.
in lieu of your last video i think this is a prime example of another positive reinforcement that should be in the game - Radar Master, spot 3 or more ships via use of a Radar. Seriously that should have been a medal right there.

Nothing like playing a game where the whole point is sailing as a fleet, then everyone goes off to try and solo carry the match. Then Wargaming has gimped co-op and pve missions so you can't make any profit or progress. Which is a major turnoff.
@16:00 Not quite. The Shiratsuyu used to be able to take both smoke and the reload booster, but the slots were merged fairly quickly. Asashio gets both at the moment...but she's still in testing. Akizuki is the only 'production' destroyer that I know of that can load both smoke and TRB.

I'd just like to point out that, that CV player in the last clip is awful. I know you shouldn't really judge people by their stats all that much but this guy has pretty terrible stats in the majority of T7 and above ships that he plays. So yeah... he seems to spend a bit too much time licking windows instead of learning how to play the game properly.
How is he aiming without the scope view, even without moving the aim of the mouse over the next target wich is on one side or another of his ship. Those roulers going down then up again. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?
Tell me, what is the chance. Use a radar Minotaur in Clan Battle, and MM put him against 4 DD? And even they are do so stupid thing as in a random battle. And even the Montana ignore a Minotaur when he has 4 DD in the team? What is the chance this all happen together?!? :O

Grape video Jingles. Have you considered going for a round of drinks at Pubnautica? (also - after having checked out your Subnautica playthru...) 1) You are such a daft old woman about every little threat - even the ones which do almost zero damage or less. 2) There is no reason to take the Cyclops to the Cove-Tree (unless you enjoy spending tons of time sneaking thru and around tight entrance points, past Stalkers and Ghost Levis and the Brain Squid things, and running batteries down, et al - because you can park the Cyclops by Yu's Pod (which has no obstructions above all the way to the surface) and simply and quickly hike/fly in the Prawnsuit from that entrance by Yu's Pod, almost straight across, down a big drop, and then bear right to the Cove Tree, which leads directly to the Lava zones. And you can do this easily, complete with stops for drilling and for needed hyperventilation sessions while terrored by minor threats, and then back to the Cyclops with a comfortable amount of charge left on the Prawn's batteries EVEN WITHOUT the engine efficiency or the Temp/Charge modules. Or, if really nervous - just take an extra cel or two - you probably won't need them, though. If you get bored, fire up a save, go to Yu's Pod and try it out - you'll never bother with trying to wrestle the Cyclops in and out of the Lost River again.

As such the same will happen in RTW. You can designate your budget for the research teams to use and what categories you would like them to focus on (ship design, light forces and torpedo warfare, fire control, damage control etc.) but not what they will cook up. This means that you are not guaranteed as Britain to be the first one to build a dreadnought type battleship. It also means that as the Japanese, you could have a ship with 4 centerline guns and fire directors before the germans have even figured out cross deck configuration. It makes for a varied and realistic experience for the player. You are the Admiral. You can always influence, but never force, the outcomes you want. Only on the field of battle.

Seriously. I guess they didn’t want CVs farming them, but in that case just increase the requirements for that specific class.

Very true. Most Minotaur players in Clan also run smoke because the ship itself is really too soft to be seen outside a smoke screen.
So basically running radar is only going to be reliable if you have a good team mate to smoke for you.

Jingles have you looked at ftl faster than light? Its a tough space sim where you command a ship. Its pretty challenging and fun.
He plays Elite Dangerous where he commands spaceships going faster than light. He has at least a dozen spaceships especially kitted out to perform specific roles.
I’ve only had the going down the middle of two brothers work for me like 3 times once in closed beta once in open beta and once on week one launch of WOWS
No one will care but this is why i quit WOWS when the AA got buffed, Carriers thrive off of players not utilities the rock paper scissors mechanic which means BB's are a threat to Cruisers, Cruisers are threat to Destroyers, and Destroyers are a threat to BB's. Carriers fit in with Cruisers protecting the BB's with there AA. Instead buffing all AA for all ships means carrier planes are worthless. You get no EXP for scouting or causing damage because of scouting, and shooting down other carriers planes is boring if you can't use your bombers. And you can't use Bombers because all ships have to much AA.
My little rant is meaningless but its sad WG killed off carriers, its basically World of Battleships now, and not something im ever going to try again.
A little side story i never played WoT, and was so excited for WOWS i installed tanks on the hopes i could transfer free exp. I find myself in the strange position of having uninstalled WOWS and just playing WoT...shame that happen.
Well with the coming Carrier Rework it seems that will be changed. As they will also rework how AA works in general.
in lieu of your last video i think this is a prime example of another positive reinforcement that should be in the game - Radar Master, spot 3 or more ships via use of a Radar.

Because WoWS random battle teams are comprised of window licking morons. Nothing like playing a game where the whole point is sailing as a fleet, then everyone goes off to try and solo carry the match. Then Wargaming has gimped co-op and pve missions so you can't make any profit or progress. Which is a major turnoff.
@16:00 Not quite. The Shiratsuyu used to be able to take both smoke and the reload booster, but the slots were merged fairly quickly. Asashio gets both at the moment...but she's still in testing. Akizuki is the only 'production' destroyer that I know of that can load both smoke and TRB.
Not as funny as catching a British cruiser broadside on at 2km in the Akizuki.

I'd just like to point out that, that CV player in the last clip is awful. I know you shouldn't really judge people by their stats all that much but this guy has pretty terrible stats in the majority of T7 and above ships that he plays. So yeah... he seems to spend a bit too much time licking windows instead of learning how to play the game properly.
How is he aiming without the scope view, even without moving the aim of the mouse over the next target wich is on one side or another of his ship. Those roulers going down then up again. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?
Tell me, what is the chance. Use a radar Minotaur in Clan Battle, and MM put him against 4 DD?
And even they are do so stupid thing as in a random battle. And even the Montana ignore a Minotaur when he has 4 DD in the team?

14:33 I know the feeling of getting a kraken and loosing. I have recieved the kraken two times. One in my Iron Duke (where 4 out of 5 were dds), and once in my Henry IV. I lost both times.

1) You are such a daft old woman about every little threat - even the ones which do almost zero damage or less.
2) There is no reason to take the Cyclops to the Cove-Tree (unless you enjoy spending tons of time sneaking thru and around tight entrance points, past Stalkers and Ghost Levis and the Brain Squid things, and running batteries down, et al - because you can park the Cyclops by Yu's Pod (which has no obstructions above all the way to the surface) and simply and quickly hike/fly in the Prawnsuit from that entrance by Yu's Pod, almost straight across, down a big drop, and then bear right to the Cove Tree, which leads directly to the Lava zones. And you can do this easily, complete with stops for drilling and for needed hyperventilation sessions while terrored by minor threats, and then back to the Cyclops with a comfortable amount of charge left on the Prawn's batteries EVEN WITHOUT the engine efficiency or the Temp/Charge modules. Or, if really nervous - just take an extra cel or two - you probably won't need them, though.
If you get bored, fire up a save, go to Yu's Pod and try it out - you'll never bother with trying to wrestle the Cyclops in and out of the Lost River again.

Two brothers replays: I seriously think this map should be left just for T8+ so that potentially noobies, new players, rushing to their first T5 ship do not take / sit at the mouth of the channel which usually is bound to be a massive fail, and hence eventually becoming utter potato noobs...

Rule The Waves- Jingles Campaign Day Two. Howdy you supreme gnomeness, Im back. Continuing from where I left off yesterday. Research during the dreadnought race moved very quickly. As such the same will happen in RTW. You can designate your budget for the research teams to use and what categories you would like them to focus on (ship design, light forces and torpedo warfare, fire control, damage control etc.) but not what they will cook up. This means that you are not guaranteed as Britain to be the first one to build a dreadnought type battleship. It also means that as the Japanese, you could have a ship with 4 centerline guns and fire directors before the germans have even figured out cross deck configuration. It makes for a varied and realistic experience for the player. You are the Admiral. You can always influence, but never force, the outcomes you want. Only on the field of battle.
