Coming back to this video to remember what World of Warships was like when the Atlanta was considered over powered. I miss those days. Thanks for keeping up the great work, Gnome Overlord.
Thanks Jingles for putting together this video. I was transfixed when I saw the letter from Mrs. Sullivan and the response from President Roosevelt. It was so touching because I grew up near Waterloo. My father knew the Sullivan brothers and played with them as a child in the 1930s. You work is greatly appreciated, although I will not be able to share with my father, a WWII Army Air Corp veteren, as he has passed away some years ago. I put my comment here as I did not know how to other wise reach you. May all who read this respect the mothers who suffer most when soldiers fall. May they all one day refuse to send their children to war!
It could've been a reality if it hadn't been for the reason an aircraft carrier made of ice being conceived, not enough steel. There wasn't enough steel around for the machines that kept the ice cool.
BoZoiD57 Yeah and also the fact that anti-submarine aircraft had longer ranges than at the start of the war so the unprotected run between protected UK airspace and US/CAN airspace was becoming exponentially smaller, making that mid way runway not as vital. If they really needed it they would have made it happen.
Profound Gaming i loved the idea of it, allthough the project wasnt realy possible given that most of icebergs lie below the surface, although it would be totally unsinkable if it was created
Jingles, in case you and or other people aren't aware, if you pick up the Humble E3 Bundle Ticket (which is one of those glorious 'pay what you want' bundles) it includes access to the World of Warships Beta, alongside a special bonus. Worth pointing out that the access and bonus is only applicable to the NA server for WoWs.
gamersgofirst as long as you register on the .com world of warships site instead of the .eu version. Bear in mind your account will be tied to the NA server, so you may need a NA wargaming account. The Humble Bundle page has an FAQ with the details.
Hail Hydrate alright just to clearify, i bought the humble bundle. i need to register on the american server. but i can play in the netherlands where i live
gamersgofirst Yep, you can still play it, you'll just be playing on an american server instead of a European one. Shouldn't be too much difference either way.
gamersgofirst You could play on the American server from where you live with that account, but the ping would be atrocious. If you are desperate to try the game and don't mind the ping, the humble bundle beta key could be worth it, but otherwise you should just wait for Open Beta and EU signups.
I am an old man, combat veteran, and love history, so, I much appreciate your videos that have history at the beginning.Another great video! Thank you.
Oh... Mighty Jingles. Being a newb to WOW I went out and got myself an Atlanta based on this video. Well, I have gone from a terrible player to a slightly less terrible player but I am having tons of fun. Easily my favorite ship so far. And Destroyers wet their britches whenever they see me. I salute you sir!
Juneau Alaska. In which all five Sullivan Brothers died there is a ship a Fletcher class ship and went after all of them which is currently singing and Buffalo new York. Jingle's I love you because we're the same age. Your a few months older. I'm retired untiled states marine Corp major. I admire your work. Love the world of warships Atlanta
Mr. Jingles: It is pronouned JOOH-NO not JEAUX. And yes, we Americans believe we can never bring enough guns to a gunfight. :D I was in Juneau, Alaska were there is a War Memorial to the USS Juneau and the Sullivan brothers. Excellent video and tech explanation as usual.
Jingles I noticed that when you engaged that enemy Atlanta, you were like saying not to know what kind/type of ship it was going to be at 13:14 that you were about to engage because it was still obscured by that island! But if you press and hold the "Alt" key you can not only see the exact range your guns are aiming at (wich btw makes 'ranging' shots completely redundent and no longer necessary), While holding the "Alt" key you will also see any enemy ship you target their exact range, name (class) of the ship, their remaining health AND the players name captaining it..EVEN when that ship is still obscured by an island! Only thing one must still know how to do is 'lead' one's shots offcourse. Glad if this bit of info turned out to help you! :)
TheHowitzerPriest harris I kind of like the stereotype. It's pretty accurate and nothing really to be ashamed of. Besides more firepower is always bad ass.
+Aaror1000 tell that to the #1 and #'s 4 and 5 turrets on Atlanta, they never had a proper gun director ranging hover shots when fired XD and if the #'s 4 and 5 were firing at the same time the gun director would have been facing port or starboard in most cases so one turret would be fringing by eye xD
They did have an insufficient number of gun directors, a fact that was not lost on captains of the era. I was just referring to the American-firepower complex in general.
I've seen 3 of these ships in a platoon in a single game, and dear merciful. The amount of tracer fire in the air is SCARY! Even when your in a battleship!
What a coincidence, I have just seen a documentary about divers visiting the wreck of the Atlanta off the cost of Guadalcanal and found this, also very informative, video... nice work Jingles!
Just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your video! Not only do you have a lot of good info to impart but you have a great sense of humor and had me laughing my @ss off. ;) Thank you for all the fine info, not sure if you actually read these comments but wanted to than k you regardless.
Just an add on about the Juneau. According to eyewitnesses chronicled in Neptunes Inferno by James D Hornfischer it suffered a catastrophic magazine detonation, with one of it's dual purpose mounts actually launched into the air by the force of the explosion landing near other american ships.
Love your videos. The reason I started playing World of Warships, and I have a BLAST! Even when I have a ship shot out from under me its so much fun to play.
The Atlanta is one of my favorite ships, that passion started on the mobil game Warship Rising, she's basically a machine gun on water. I also love her antiaircraft weapons, I played my role as an escort support extremely well.
This will be the best channel for WoW if it is not already. RAdm. Jingles just has that combination of real world experience and passion for the game which translates into the best WoW videos extant.
Jingles, I'm always impressed with your ability to keep a long video like this interesting the entire time. Great historical information and great insights on playing this ship. Time to go buy some gold now so I can add another premium ship to my harbor......
Hey Jingles, I'm not sure if you knew this, but the USS The Sullivans (DD-537) is currently preserved and serves as a museum ship in Buffalo, NY, along with the Cleveland class USS Little Rock, and the USS Croaker submarine. If you're ever in the area, stop over there. :)
The Juneau (jew-no) was a sub-class of Atlantas with no depth charge or torpedo armament. This helped with the stability issue of the Atlantas created by piling on extra AA armament.
i just noticed i have an Atlanta in my port, no idea how it got there so i guess i must have won it in a recent christmas box, i really enjoy playing with the Atlanta.
Another fun fact about the USS The Sullivans (the second one this time) is that it was actually the target of an Al-Qaeda attack in 2000 as it moored at the port of Aden in Yemen. The plan was to load a boat with explosives, drive alongside the American ship, and blow it up. Fortunately for The Sullivans, the terrorists' plan suffered from "too much gun" as well: their boat actually sank under the weight of all the explosives they packed into it, and The Sullivans sailed away none the wiser. A few months later, Al-Qaeda tried again, this time using less explosives to blow a hole in the side of USS Cole. But thanks to the fact that the terrorists could not use as much explosive to keep their boat from sinking, the Cole's crew were able to contain the damage and keep the ship afloat.
Been trying the Atlanta during the WOWs PT this weekend. I love it, its an absolute riot to play. Fabulous video, I wouldn't have tried it if I hadn't seen this :)
Dammit Jingles, you beat my record by 29 hits! My record is 333 hits with my Atlanta (sunk 4 ships, 2 of which were destroyers who hung around too long) ;)
Watching these videos gives me WoWS withdrawal symptoms, and I feel my resolve waver. Luckily, a quick jaunt over to the forums, and I remember WHY I stopped playing. The nerf-o-licious update was just icing on the cake.
For anyone who is interested, the USS Sullivans (DD-537) is a museum ship at the Buffalo & Erie County Military & Naval Park in Buffalo New York, along with Cleveland-class USS Little Rock (which was mentioned in Jingles' review of the class b/c it was converted into a guided missile cruiser) and USS Croaker, a Gato-class submarine. It's worth a visit if you're ever in the area.
I played Navy Field for YEARS. From the time it started beta until about a year after public release. The Atlanta was my favorite ship. When I started, the Atlanta was the single most hated light cruiser in the game due to its limited firing arcs and its smaller caliber guns. I almost single-handedly turned it into the single most respected and feared cruiser in the game. Can't wait to be able to play this game and sail her again. And just as an aside... I live in JUNEAU, Alaska, for which the USS Juneau was named. The correct pronunciation is "joono" not zheno :) Again, can't wait to meet you ingame :)
Thank you for all your vids on WOW. I love the history you put into them. Hope to see you on the sea one day. I had to smile with your end comment on the Atlanta, "The US DD drivers will want one of these." Ran into one 3 days ago and i had a hard time getting away. Using all my tricks, smoke and a island. Left with 500 HP and not much of a game after that. lol.
Finally got around to watching this video. Bought one a few months ago and it's (pardon my French, I am a sailor) fucking awesome. Inside of 10km, just hold the LMB down and it completely melts same tier BBs. I also have a Perth, that was sunk in consort with the Atlanta in 1942, which I still get great results in game.
Hey jingles, just wanted to share, but i work at the buffalo and erie county naval park, Home to the USS little rock (cleveland class cruiser) and the Uss Sullivans. They both are cool ships in their own respects.
If any of you older guys out there remember the Avalon Hill board war games, Midway had the Atlanta in the ships present in the game and it was by far the best AA platform in the US ships. Nice to see that even then, its main strength was as an AA platform was presented in-game.
EddyGurge - Well he's not in the U.S. is he? So he uses the correct French pronunciation. Same thing with the "De Moine" and "Sant Loowie". There's no rule stating we have to use the wrong American pronunciations and we don't see you yanks falling over yourselves to keep us Euro's happy by using the correct pronunciations. Best thing to do is for you all to stop complaining about it and just deal with it!
Nazi Germany - Oh I'm not bitching about how you pronounce them, Adolf, Just that you pronounce them wrong and then expect everyone else to be as dumb as you fuckwits!
Dano UK At first i thought you were calling him adolf because of his comment but...nvm anyways you cant say we say it wrong because its our city..... how bout the way you say Aluminum...you say it as aluminium...its not how its spelled or how you call the trunk of the car a boot. It makes no sense. We all have our ups and downs. I think all of yall are takin this too seriously.
Chandler Hermansen No, it's different. It's not just an accent of different way of naming things. Quite a lot of US cities and towns were named after places in Europe, or by settlers from Europe. Not English-speaking ones. And they did pronounce their new homes right, in their native languages. But then, after a while, the general Americanization took place, and the original names were lost, and the new (wrong) pronunciations settled. Basically, modern Americans pronounce their non-English-named towns the way uneducated Brits would pronounce a name after seeing it for the first time on a map and trying to read it as if it was written in English. That's why it comes across as.... not right, to certain people. =]
The Atlanta looks amazing. I'm a American destroyer driver (I like having fast turning guns) and I also love ships like the Cleveland. The Atlanta does look like a hybrid between destroyers and cruisers -- with all the best aspects of both -- only better.
shades921 nah, it's a replay bug. I've seen some other replays where the featured ship has fired but the shots actually appear 1-2 ship lengths in front of it's bows. Not to mention the weird side-slipping and sudden jinking in turns.
I got it when it was at 30% off last week-end. Played one game in it and was blown away by it's performance. I died quick because I went with a destroyer on the front, but between the 2 of us we killed 2 DDs, 1 cruiser, and one Battleship. 45k damage and about 300k credit. Simply amazing, and saddens me to say but, far more fun than my favorite class of ships, the BBs. Expensive, but well worth it for pure, quick and rewarding fun matches !
That last Myoko, Final_Spark, is a NA Forumer from the WOWS NA Forums...Idon't know him well and he doesn't post much...But I still find it cool I got to see him in that final replay.
Kitteh McKitteh so you know the guy? thats kewl. btw, Just bought the ship in question. You got one? If so, maybe when both on like to do Atlanta divs some time? ;'P
Lol, I just noticed how old this video is but all well- it is actually super cool that you just happened to notice the name, just happened to recognize it, just happened to see this video, after you just just happened to see him in some random forums.
The USS Atlanta, was sunk by by Kongo class battleship, the IJN Hiei, while alongside the Juneau on that November the 13th night. Hiei was then hunted by carrier aircraft and became the first Japanese battleship sunk by the US in WWII.
Interesting fact: When the Atlanta engaged in the Naval Battle of Guadalcanal, the range was point blank. As she was rather early in the American column, Atlanta took quite a bit of fire. This included a Long Lance that practically broke her back. Rapidly firing into the dark, she managed to obliterate an enemy destroyer. After taking a hail of shell hits, her radar and gun directed went out. As she drifted away off Lunga Point, the last target her gun directer was aimed at was less than 400 yards away.
Took me over a minute to realize Jingles was saying USS Juneau. I remembered the Sullivan brothers were on a ship named after an Alaskan city, but I didn't think there was a Geno Alaska.
As a direct result of the Sullivan brothers my father and his three brothers all chose different services when they signed up ( all four signing on the same day was a big deal back then, still is for the survivors of our family). Uncle George was a marine in Europe, My uncle Johnny army aircorps also in Europe, uncle Buddy was pure infantry ground pounder again in Europe, and my dad went to the navy ithe Pacific, he wanted better food. Thanks for bringing up the history once again Jingles, it made me think back to my own upbringing.
the radio proximity fuse is what made American ships so deadly in AA, it was so guarded that they refused to use it in Europe until close to the end there. There was a good documentary i saw on it but damned if i can find it to post a link here
interesting to see this.. my father served on the Atlanta during WW2 and was on her when she was sunk off Guadalcanal Nov 13 1942.. she could throw up and impressive amount of firepower..
It is a good ship provided you are close to the enemy (or further away and behind an island). The radar made this ship even better (smoke would be preferred though). It doesn't face to well against BBs up close but yeah. I would say it's a fun ship but you have to decide wether it's worth the money. (if you do buy it we can div up if you like).
I hope the Japanese ships get their special anti-aircraft shells they had. Even though they weren't very effective, they would be fun :P Imagine the explosion from a Yamato's Anti-aircraft shells.
TheRaptorOfGaming They need a good AA option, their AA is mediocre at best. If I could spend my shells from my main turrets to fire those rounds I'd definitely do it.
***** Most Japanese warships had them, including the battleships. The American pilots generally regarded them as spectacular displays but really nothing more. Although since there are paper ships floating around, I don't think anyone would care if they bumped up their capabilities. The shells worked one a fuse, the crew would set them (generally at 1000 meters) and they would be fired, explode at the set distance, and they would release a cone shaped cloud of burning magnesium. (Also I believe I've seen you on Beaglerush's videos before. Hi :D)
The Type 3 shell was basically a clusterbomb. How would you implement something like that into the current game? Load up the shell and shoot into the sky or let it be AI controlled?
TheRaptorOfGaming Japanese anti-aircraft is almost an oxymoron. Their AA capability in WW2 was execrable. Their guns ranged from almost acceptable to horrible (mostly bad). Their directors sucked, they had no proximity fuses, the light AA was a thoroughly obsolete design--and it wasn't good when current...it just goes on. Their heavy AA was barely acceptable (with one exception), they had no medium AA at all, and their light AA just flat out sucked, no matter how much they piled on later in the war. This is a game, so it'll be balanced around actually working, but in the war...just incredibly bad.
+Dave Finfrock And 6 months later? Not really balanced out :D It just gives different countries different flavours...which is exactly as it was. American Cruisers had no Torps, Japanese cruisers did have torps. American AA was some of the best, and it looks like the German AA is going to be pretty spectacular as well.
The details of the Juneau's sinking were partially correct; she was actually sunk after the battle, while en route to Espiritu Santu for repairs. She was hit by a sub fired torpedo as stated, but directly in the same spot where she had already been torpedoed earlier during the battle. This explains the rapid sinking.
Another Atlanta Class Cruiser, the USS San Diego, had the second most Battle Stars of any US ship in WW2 at 18 stars. Only beaten by the Enterprise at 20.
Dear Mighty Jingles, In the second engagement, you observed that you might have a fair fight, Atlanta v Atlanta. Then you observed someone else shooting at your opponent so it was in fact not a fair fight. Admiral, let me help you out - if I may. While in the Navy, I had a tour as a security officer, which is similar to an on-base police officer. In training for this duty, we were taught two overriding principles that were to guide everything else we did: 1. Your first mission is to go home at the end of each shift (be smart and survive). 2. There is no such thing as a fair fight - see rule one. Fret-not, Admiral. You fought that fight in keeping with the highest traditions of the naval service!
Jingles talks about USS The Sullivans few hours later WoWS has a video of USS The Sullivans on their site! Even Wargaming is watching you! Great job! went to visit USS North Carolina in Wilmington, that was so amazing!
I loved when the computer controlled Battleship was firing at you instead of the Battleship which was closer too it, all I could think was "Even the computer recognizes Jingles and decided to troll him so it can post on its Facebook account 'I killed Jingles' "
Yes Jingles, we like you guys too. You guys are like the snarky best buds that we may be embarrassed to admit we're fond of but deep down we are. Don't tell anyone though. We have a reputation to keep.
Could you tell us more how the double-purpose guns actually work beacuse i don't see you firing at the aircraft so it's probably AI controlled but can you still use the gun even if the AI uses it ??
I know you would never know it from the way it's spelled the Sullivan brothers ship is named after the city of Juneau Alaska. It's pronounced "june-oh" respectfully yours Gunner4t5
***** The Mighty Jingles Whenever you see an American word that's spelled weird, just assume the pronunciation is much simpler than you'd think. I should know. I live in a town called Grand Blanc, which is French, but the name is now pronounced exactly like you'd expect Americans to pronounce it, given time. (Grand Blank) You can always tell if a person is from Grand Blanc by the way they pronounce its name.
I know this an old posting but I was at the USS Sullivan's DDG-68 launching in 1992 at bath Iron Works Maine. My friend works there still. Long day....
Coming back to this video to remember what World of Warships was like when the Atlanta was considered over powered. I miss those days. Thanks for keeping up the great work, Gnome Overlord.
Same here
AAAAAHHHHH!!!! Back in the good old days when Jingles used to do hour long videos.

I really love the history lessons you give for the ships.
26:21 do my eyes deceive me or did those bombers GO UNDERWATER and then come back up? i guess "dive bombers" takes on a whole new meaning in WOWS.
They most certainly did go below the ocean surface and then resurface and fly away.
Those Goddamn kamikaze pilots

Just want Jingles to know, this video is what made me get the Atlanta and I do not regret it. Pity it took me this long to get to play this game.
Refreshed subscriptions and suddenly Jingles. My day just got markedly better.
Jingles - you're absolutely right about the USS Atlanta , what a fun ship to drive. FANTASTIC!!!😎👍

Well, if you're gonna have a problem, "too much firepower" is a pretty good one to have.
This tour of 8 year old videos has been fun today. WOWS back before the CV rework and submarines spoiled our little world. 😊❤😊
Man that first game in the Atlanta (ended at 24:40) was awesome. You kicked major ass man; it was co-op but still. Wish I had games like that. :-/

The correct pronunciation is "joono" not zheno :)
Again, can't wait to meet you ingame :)
Left with 500 HP and not much of a game after that. lol.
lol loved the more firepower joke, great vid love the history this game brings out.
Jingles guess what, almost 400k subs good job admiral jingles, may we serve for you until 500k!!!!!!!!!!
If any of you older guys out there remember the Avalon Hill board war games, Midway had the Atlanta in the ships present in the game and it was by far the best AA platform in the US ships. Nice to see that even then, its main strength was as an AA platform was presented in-game.
I believe it's pronounced
June-O
FYI, we use the hard 'J' for pronouncing Juneau here in the U.S.
Nazi Germany
- Oh I'm not bitching about how you pronounce them, Adolf, Just that you pronounce them wrong and then expect everyone else to be as dumb as you fuckwits!
'Murica - the only country, that manages to mispronounce it's own cities' names.
XD
this was on the premium shop this week for $44 and the Agato was $47 BOTH with an extra slot and a bunch of signal flags
My favorite to use when you have a good battleship captain to backup. They compliment one another very well.
Has anyone called the Pensacola "Pepsi-Cola?"
Andison Iu yes...
Andison Iu In Finland Pensas means Bush, and i mean real Bush not that one you're thinking about :) So i call it the Pensaskola
Opa Pelailee Bush Cola sounds like a sex oil. lol
Linerunner99 sex oil??
Whenever we see a Pensacola, the first thing we see is 'Penis-Cola" lol.
2 x 40+ mins vids in a week, you spoil us sir.
The Atlanta looks amazing. I'm a American destroyer driver (I like having fast turning guns) and I also love ships like the Cleveland. The Atlanta does look like a hybrid between destroyers and cruisers -- with all the best aspects of both -- only better.
More guns than it knew what to do with? This is the 1940's version of "AMMERICAAAA FUCK YEAH!!"
:)
26:12 Looks like WoWS is going to have kamikaze added, though I am curious as to why it is for the US carriers.
Go home WoWS replays, you're drunk!
The Hungry Wolf 足柄 They are "dive" bombers, you get it? :D
The Hungry Wolf 足柄 bad programming where the planes dive below the water to drop bombs?
The Hungry Wolf 足柄 are hunting the submarine underneath the battleship
shades921 nah, it's a replay bug. I've seen some other replays where the featured ship has fired but the shots actually appear 1-2 ship lengths in front of it's bows. Not to mention the weird side-slipping and sudden jinking in turns.
The Hungry Wolf 足柄 not just a replay bug, this has happened to me in game while experiencing server lag... pretty funny though.
So, exceptionally good at killing destroyers and great AA. Sounds like the perfect escort cruiser for Battleships and Carriers.
If only we knew back then what WG was going to do.
@@schiefer1103 Lol good comment
InstaBlaster.
"I'm sorry sir, all five." Has got to be some of the saddest shit I've ever heard in my life.
If so, maybe when both on like to do Atlanta divs some time? ;'P
ZGuy0fSci No Atlanta for meh :'(
Lol, I just noticed how old this video is but all well- it is actually super cool that you just happened to notice the name, just happened to recognize it, just happened to see this video, after you just just happened to see him in some random forums.
The firepower of those 5-inchers massed like that is much like a shotgun....gotta' respect that saturation capability.
The USS Atlanta, was sunk by by Kongo class battleship, the IJN Hiei, while alongside the Juneau on that November the 13th night. Hiei was then hunted by carrier aircraft and became the first Japanese battleship sunk by the US in WWII.
Interesting fact:
When the Atlanta engaged in the Naval Battle of Guadalcanal, the range was point blank. As she was rather early in the American column, Atlanta took quite a bit of fire. This included a Long Lance that practically broke her back. Rapidly firing into the dark, she managed to obliterate an enemy destroyer. After taking a hail of shell hits, her radar and gun directed went out. As she drifted away off Lunga Point, the last target her gun directer was aimed at was less than 400 yards away.
the atlanta is my favourite ship. i am realy glad that i bought this beauty. the turret rotation and rate of fire is insane^^
Comming home from school //jingles video up // day=saved!
I just love the historical info !!! Thank you !!
The USS Atlanta and the USS SIMs was avable to prebuy before the game lunched as a way to get into the beta.
I was surprised that you didn't mention Admiral Norman Scott or the friendly fire from the San Francisco during the Naval Battle of Guadalcanal.
Took me over a minute to realize Jingles was saying USS Juneau. I remembered the Sullivan brothers were on a ship named after an Alaskan city, but I didn't think there was a Geno Alaska.
Who wiped their screen at 4:00 ? :P
Alexander Meme nah, mine needs cleaning anyway, although I was confused as to how that 'smudge' got there all of a sudden XD
Same...
btw the Juneau is sound June-Noe ..
Jingles you should look into the USS San Diego it was one of the Atlantas and was very highly decorated
And the San Juan
the radio proximity fuse is what made American ships so deadly in AA, it was so guarded that they refused to use it in Europe until close to the end there. There was a good documentary i saw on it but damned if i can find it to post a link here
interesting to see this.. my father served on the Atlanta during WW2 and was on her when she was sunk off Guadalcanal Nov 13 1942.. she could throw up and impressive amount of firepower..
Wow how time flys. It’s already been 5 years
I want this ship but I'm on the fence, I wish that WG would let you test drive a ship in co-op battle but just make no xp or credits
Also you have to be used to the high arc of the shells (play US DDs to get a feel for those guns).
Ya gotta have an ATL
I hope the Japanese ships get their special anti-aircraft shells they had. Even though they weren't very effective, they would be fun :P
Imagine the explosion from a Yamato's Anti-aircraft shells.
Normally I think yank ship are pretty hideous but the Atlanta is bloody gorgeous!
As a newbie to WoWs its funny to see Jingles not recommending a lot of ships on the Ocean map having never seen it myself.
Another Atlanta Class Cruiser, the USS San Diego, had the second most Battle Stars of any US ship in WW2 at 18 stars. Only beaten by the Enterprise at 20.
Dear Mighty Jingles,
In the second engagement, you observed that you might have a fair fight, Atlanta v Atlanta.
Oh my fair Jingles, how spoiled you make me with your long videos! :D
This reminds me of your description of the M2 Medium in WoT: "It's make of guns!"
Jingles talks about USS The Sullivans few hours later WoWS has a video of USS The Sullivans on their site! Even Wargaming is watching you! Great job!
went to visit USS North Carolina in Wilmington, that was so amazing!
USS Atlanta... The Gift that keeps on giving.
Thank you for another awesome video man :)
The duel between you and the Fuso reminds me of the 1st Naval Battle of Guadalcanal.
The nicholas is one of my favorite american ships ive used so far its so much fun
My fav tier VI cruiser is the bud. 6 6km torps on each side.
26:17 Anyone noticed that the DBs actually went through the water? Must be a new type of prop....
Could you tell us more how the double-purpose guns actually work beacuse i don't see you firing at the aircraft so it's probably AI controlled but can you still use the gun even if the AI uses it ??
"More firepower than we know what to do with"
I literally fell out off my bar stool laughing too hard at this. Yes it's very typical indeed xD
I know you would never know it from the way it's spelled the Sullivan brothers ship is named after the city of Juneau Alaska. It's pronounced "june-oh"
respectfully yours
Gunner4t5
***** The Mighty Jingles Whenever you see an American word that's spelled weird, just assume the pronunciation is much simpler than you'd think.
I should know. I live in a town called Grand Blanc, which is French, but the name is now pronounced exactly like you'd expect Americans to pronounce it, given time. (Grand Blank) You can always tell if a person is from Grand Blanc by the way they pronounce its name.
That sounds like a good rule of thumb. I am sure that there are plenty of place names in the UK that I would have a embarrassing time pronouncing.
***** I am from Juneau, Alaska, and can confirm it is pronounced American style, 'Jew-no'
Yay!
I know this an old posting but I was at the USS Sullivan's DDG-68 launching in 1992 at bath Iron Works Maine. My friend works there still. Long day....
